Nagin Calls Ground Zero A Hole In The Ground

"You guys in New York can’t get a hole in the ground fixed and it’s five years later. So let’s be fair."

The New Orleans Blame Game mayor is at it again. This time, during an interview with CBS correspondent Byron Pitts, he managed not only to shift the subject from New Orleans to New York, but he also disrespected the memory of 9/11 by referring to it as a hole in the ground.

Yes, Ray, let's be fair. New Orleans reelected this inept, racist, loser, so they deserve what they get. What is unfortunate is how the media so readily suffers fools especially if they're the member of a minority group. The press would have excoriated any white politician making similar remarks, but Nagin and others of his ilk get a free pass.

Joining Nagin's racist cacophony in the CBS piece is Leonard Moore, a professor of African-American history at Louisiana State University. He tells Pitt, "I look at the post-Katrina piece as a game of musical chairs….Once the music gets turned off, the white folks have a place to sit down, a place to sleep, a place for their children to go to school. We’re going back to a trailer."

Pitt should have asked immediately to see Moore's trailer and we could all have seen firsthand just how bad things are for the poor professor. Smart money says he's living like them rich white folks he resents so much and a lot better than the poor white folks that were devastated just like the poor blacks. Talk is cheap Leonard, especially when no one is holding you accountable.
