Sarah Peake Piqued By Pilgrims

From the state that gave you Teddy, drunk driving killer, Kennedy, John, reporting for recognition, Kerry and Michael, tanks for the memories, Dukakis comes Sarah Peake.

Here's a woman apparently offended when she realized females did not have the right to vote at the time of the Pilgrims. Where she was during history classes and how she missed that vital segment of her education is anyone's guess. But, now she is going to erase the sins of the past by removing any visual reminder of them.Thanksgiving Day must have been a hideous recalling of past abuses for this woman.

Seriously, this is a powerful display of how the left would rather look for and focus on what they perceive as negative in any given situation. Memoralizing the Mayflower Compact was done to honor many positive human traits, such as faith and courage but, the left opts to see prejudice and inequality instead. How pathetic life must be for them but, of course, it is of their own choosing.

In Provincetown Massachusetts a painting of the Pilgrims voting for the Mayflower Compact will come down soon.
After a motion by Selectwoman Sarah Peake, the board decided Monday to ask the art commission to take it down and replace it with another painting from the town's collection.
Peake argued that the painting should be taken down because it does not show a single woman, and "the only one not holding a ballot in the painting is the Native American."

Swedish Pastor Free to Preach

Fortunately, there still seems to be a residue of common sense left in the world's halls of justice. Despite the fact that the left desires to relegate freedom of speech to the dungeons of political correctness, it still, somehow, manages to survive. It is very difficult to voice a conservative opinion without some group like the ACLU searching the highways and byways for an offended party to challenge it in court. The tyranny of the minority hopes to intimidate us into submission.

Ake Green, a Swedish pentecostalist pastor who had been sentenced to a month in prison for a sermon in which he condemned homosexuality has been acquitted by the Supreme Court in Stockholm.

Green said he felt “relieved” by the verdict, in which he was cleared of the crime of ‘agitation against minority groups.’

“I was prepared for the fact that I could be acquitted, but also that I could be convicted,” he told news agency TT from his church.

Gay right groups have condemned the verdict, saying that it makes nonsense of the law.

“It is extremely serious when the church is turned into a free zone for agitation,” said Soren Andersson, chairman of gay rights group RFSL.

“We are now going to face increased religious agitation from extreme right-wing Christian groups that use the church as a forum to spread their message of hatred.”

Finkielkraut Facing Backlash From France

Alain Finkielkraut, the French-Jewish philosopher, gave an interview to Haaretz.

In the course of that interview, Finkielkraut, a former
spokesmen of the French left, said some things that he described as"not things he can say in France anymore." In fact, he also said, "It's impossible, perhaps even dangerous, to say these things in France now."

Well, here comes the backlash! "Finkielkraut will be sued for inciting hatred," vowed the chairman of Movement against Racism and for Friendship between People (MRAP), Mouloud Aounit. This is the same group that has been trying through the French Courts to censor Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci and her book "the Rage and the Pride".

The Audio-Visual Council (Le Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel) urged the France Culture radio to sack Finkielkraut and keep his weekly program from the airwaves.

There are others calling for his persecution because the French are in total denial. The Chief of Interior Intelligence Service Pierre de Bousquet told French broadcasting, that Islam should by no way take the blame for the work of angry youths.

However, as Finkielkraut pointed out, "In France, they would like very much to reduce these riots to their social dimension, to see them as a revolt of youths from the suburbs against their situation, against the discrimination they suffer from, against the unemployment. The problem is that most of these youths are blacks or Arabs, with a Muslim identity. Look, in France there are also other immigrants whose situation is difficult - Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese - and they're not taking part in the riots. Therefore, it is clear that this is a revolt with an ethno-religious character."

He states the facts, the truth of the situation. I will give you this last quote and encourage you to read the whole interview. It is criminal that this man's opinion is under attack.

"This problem is the problem of all the countries of Europe. In Holland, they've been confronting it since the murder of Theo van Gogh. The question isn't what is the best model of integration, but just what sort of integration can be achieved with people who hate you."

Sunday Funny

A well known atheist who had helped the ACLU launch suits against displays of the ten commandments, prayer and other religious symbols and activities died and was sent to hell. With glee, the devil informed him, "this is the place you have chosen, a place of unending torment, where you will exist in excruciating despair and agony for all eternity. Now, your personal demon will escort you to your special place in hell, so that you may begin to reap what you have sown."

As the demon led the atheist through hell, they passed a room where he saw the former head of the ACLU being intimate with a beautiful young woman.

"What is this?", cried the atheist to the demon, "Why am I doomed to suffering for eternity when the man who encouraged me and collaborated with me gets to spend it with that beautiful woman?"

Jabbing the man with his pitchfork, the escorting demon snarled, "Who are you to question that woman's punishment?"

Marlowe Masterpiece Censored In England

The artistic community in Europe is now censoring itself on what Muslims may or may not like. Read the entire piece at TIMESONLINE.

At least there was an outcry from some scholars and theatre people. Why in the world are we protecting Islam more than we would any other religion? Why aren't the actors protesting the violation of their artistic integrity and the bastardization of a classic work of art. Why are there no screams about censorship?

Could it be that they are only brave when denigrating those who defend their right to free speech or those whom they have no reason to fear?

The producers of Tamburlaine the Great have come under fire for censoring Christopher Marlowe’s 1580s masterpiece to avoid upsetting Muslims.

Audiences at the Barbican in London did not see the Koran being burnt, as Marlowe intended, because David Farr, who directed and adapted the classic play, feared that it would inflame passions in the light of the London bombings.

Bill Richardson Gets Fantasy Baseball Draft Award

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson joins John Kerry in the Hall of False Records for fabricated history. He is acknowledging the "error" (the mistake being that he lied about his past) and going with the pretense that he believed he was drafted and this is all news to him. How pathetic can you get?

For nearly four decades, Richardson has maintained he was drafted by baseball's Kansas City Athletics. The claim has appeared in brief biography releases and has been reported by several news agencies.

But an investigation by the Albuquerque Journal turned up no record of Richardson's claim he was drafted in 1966 by the Kansas City A's, who have since moved to Oakland. There's no record of any other team drafting him, either.

The governor acknowledged the error in a story in today's paper.

Bad News, Good News

Arizona has bad news and good news. First, the bad news found at Breitbart.com.

U.S. Border Patrol agents working the Arizona-Mexico border were victims of twice as many attacks this past fiscal year compared with the previous year, officials say.

Officials say the growing number of attacks reflects the increased influence of criminal gangs and the profits they can make smuggling migrants across the border. There were 45 shooting incidents recorded during the last fiscal year along the Arizona border, up from 15 the previous year.

As usual our government does nothing except talk about the problem while we sit and watch the situation go from bad to worse.

And now the good news found in the Arizona Daily Sun.

Jim Kolbe announced Wednesday it is "time for the people of southern Arizona and me to walk down different paths." Kolbe said he believes he could be re-elected, even with a potentially close Republican primary, but said in his prepared statement that the decision is "best for me" as well as his constituents.
Many of us in southern Arizona have long been on a different path, Jim. That is probably why you have chosen not to run.

Kolbe has been one of the speed bumps in addressing the border problem. It's ok with him if the 11 million or more illegals get to remain in this country. He is no loss to those of us who want our laws enforced and our borders secure.

Innocence By Virtue Of Ineptitude

Last month I posted about Samir Azzouz, the acquitted Dutch terrorist.

There's more to the story.

A Dutch appeals court said on Friday it was convinced of the terrorist intent of a teenager accused of planning to bomb government buildings, a nuclear reactor and perhaps an El Al plane, but upheld his acquittal as he had not gone far enough with his plot.I guess the police should have let him get to the point of being able to actually blow people up so they could make the charges stick!? And we have judges who like to base their decisions on other countries ' laws!?

The arrest last year of Samir Azzouz, 19, sparked a national security alert. Authorities found machine-gun ammunition, a bullet-proof vest, two mock explosive devices, a silencer, maps and sketches of potential target buildings at his home."The defendant tried to make an explosive. In that respect, there is no doubt about the full extent of the terrorist intensions of the accused," the court said in its ruling."But what he had done to prepare an attack ... was in such an early stage and so crude and primitive that it posed no real threat within the foreseeable future
Azzouz, the son of Moroccan immigrants, was acquitted in April of accusations he had planned to attack a Dutch nuclear reactor. His lawyer, Victor Koppe, has said he is also not guilty of the latest allegations reported by the television program Nova. Prosecution spokesmen could not immediately be contacted Friday to confirm the authenticity of the Nova report. Nova said it had seen a police dossier of evidence against Azzouz, including reports from intelligence agencies and a video Azzouz allegedly recorded for his family and friends before an attack in which he expected to die.

Obviously, intent counts for nothing in the Netherlands. I guess if you're too stupid or inept to carry out your crime successfully, that equates to innocence for the Dutch. This is one of the saddest decisions to ever have come out of a pathetic excuse for a court of law. I encourage you to read more at: Ynetnews.

To Whom Do We Give Thanks?

Because of holiday family get togethers and the fact that I am recovering from a head cold, I will be brief today. Happy Thanksgiving to you all and remember it is the Good Lord to whom we are giving thanks. I can't believe the ACLU has not attacked this holiday. I wonder if they think they are supposed to be expressing gratitude to Roger Baldwin?

Can't you see them all sitting around the dining room table, holding hands, while one leads in giving thanks?

"In the spirit of socialism we join today in giving thanks to our founder and inspiration Roger Baldwin. Roger, thanks for all the benefits you have bestowed. Thanks for protecting child porn and no prayer in school. Thanks for destroying the pledge of allegiance and Christian symbols throughout the year but especially at Christmas. Thanks for the removal of the Ten Commandments from institutions of law and justice. Thanks for Michael Newdow and Anthony Romero. Because of you, Roger, we give thanks for the good things you have left us. Thanks, Roger, thanks for.....nothin'."

Happy Thanksgiving all, despite the ACLU we still have much to be grateful for!

Hot Strip Club Deemed Unsafe

Every so often, I think God gets exasperated with us and just wants us to be still and know that He is God. At those moments justice, is swift.

This from Ananova.

A strip club owner burned his club to the ground while trying to prove it was fire-proof to health and safety inspectors.

Benedict Frank, owner of the Cabaret Club in Kienberg, Switzerland, started the blaze to show how fire-proof it was when he was visited by safety inspectors.

They had questioned whether his decorations were in accordance with fire safety rules, and he used his lighter to set fire to the paper ornaments in a bid to prove there was nothing to worry about.

But the fire quickly took off and spread throughout the club and the neighbouring restaurant - burning both establishments to the ground.

According to local police no one was hurt in the fire, but the damage amounts to more than £300,000.

Terrorist Apprehended Near The Border

The following is from an article in NewsMax.

An al-Qaida operative who was on the FBI's terrorist watch list was recently captured near the Mexican border, housed in a Texas jail and turned over to federal agents, Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas, said on Friday.

"A confirmed al-Qaida terrorist, an Iraqi national, was held in the Brewster County jail," Rep. Culberson told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity. "He was captured in Mexico. This was within the last six weeks. He was turned over to the FBI."

Rep. Culberson said the detainee had been living in Mexico for up to a year, where the terrorist "was taking careful notes on the movement of people, police officers, wildlife, etc."

What are we waiting for? Does it require a catastrophic event to get something done? Apparently so, in fact Representative Culberson summed it up quite nicely.

Rep. Culberson said news of al-Qaida's penetration of the U.S.'s southern border has him worried that the next terrorist plot could involve setting off simultaneous truck bombs in major urban centers.

"The day they blow us up," he predicted, "the border will be sealed tighter than the Berlin Wall and you'll have armed United States military forces" enforcing immigration laws.

Why is our government failing to do its job and why are we permitting them to get away with it? I continue to ask this question as incident after incident goes unreported in most of the press, confirming a conspiracy of silence about the severity of our border problem. If the day comes that we are blown up because of our failure to secure the borders, the response of the public should be to demand punishment for those culpable from our own officials to the country through which they entered.

Sunday Funny

A surgeon, an engineer and an ACLU attorney were arguing about whose profession was the oldest. The surgeon said, "Remember how God removed a rib from Adam to create Eve? Obviously, that makes medicine the oldest profession."

The engineer shook his head, "But before that, in less than a week, God created the heavens and the earth from chaos. You have to admit that was a remarkable feat of engineering and it makes engineering an older profession than medicine."

The ACLU lawyer smirked, and said, "And, who do you think created the chaos?"

Jewish Exodus From France

French Jews are fleeing a wave of anti-Semitism and moving to Israel, the United States, and Canada.

Is it any wonder that the Jewish community in France may be feeling uncomfortable? Incidents of Anti-Semitism have been on the increase and now, with the outbreak of Muslim violence throughout the country, the handwriting is on the wall. In some cases, literally, where acts of desecration of Jewish monuments and temples have occurred.

The French have been in denial about all of this, Jacques Chirac telling a Jewish editor, "stop saying there is anti-Semitism in France. There is no anti-Semitism in France." Just as the recent riots are the result of a “profound malaise” and not the criminal mischief of Muslims, Chirac continues to play the perfect Frenchman in denial. Even the recent burning of churches during the riots has done nothing to slap Jacques back to reality.

First they came for the Jews, then the Catholics and Protestants and soon Chirac, it will be your turn. But don't worry it's only the Muslim malaise. Keep fiddling while Paris burns.

There is an interesting article at Canada.com regarding the French Jews and their latest exodus.

It's "Deppressing" In France Says Johnny

The riots in France have shocked poor Johnny Depp. "It's insane, that setting cars on fire is the new strike," says Johnny. "I went there to live because it seemed so simple. Now it's anything but. I don't know how they'll recover from this."

You are simple Depp, you and your little liberals pals who stir things up and then think because of your money, you can escape the consequences you are so willing to inflict on the rest of us.

Remember when you said the United States was a stupid, aggressive puppy and you wouldn't live here until the political climate changed. Has France become a big nasty poodle that can hurt little Johnny now also?

Don't even think about moving back here you moron. Iran might be a good spot for you and your family. Au Revoir!

Designer Sneakers For Criminal Activity

NY artist Judi Werthein has designed special high top sneakers for aiding illegal entry ino the US.

A map of the border area around Tijuana, Mexico, and the best routes to San Diego are printed on a removable insole. A compass and tiny flashlight are attached to the shoelaces.

The shoes she doesn't sell, she hands out to wannabe illegals in Tijuana as they prepare to break our nation's laws. Recently, she displayed the insole map to one group, telling them "This blue line is where you want to go. Good luck! You're all very courageous" .

Werthein came here legally from Argentina and this is how she thanks the country that welcomed her and made her successful. What a display of ingratitude by an enabler of criminal activity. There should be some way to deport her back to Argentina, then she can test her sneakers out if she wants to come back.

Christians Petition ACLU

The following is part of a release from the Christian Communication Network:

The Reverends Rob Schenck and Patrick J. Mahoney will visit ACLU headquarters tomorrow to hand-deliver more than 20,000 petitions demanding that the left-leaning liberal attack group back off of terrorizing communities and individuals who seek to affirm America's Judeo-Christian values.

Schenck, who heads up Faith and Action in the Nation's Capital, and Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, asked their respective members to sign the statements after the ACLU sued a small rural school district in Adams County, Ohio, over four displays of the Ten Commandments in front of public schools there. The ACLU won an order for the Commandments to be removed, then demanded that the school reimburse them for legal expenses. After Christian ministers in the community stepped forward with a pledge to replace the money taken from the school budget, the ACLU settled for $80,000.

"The ACLU is this generation's Ku Klux Klan," said Rev. Rob Schenck. "They gallop into small towns with legal hoods over their heads and terrorize good people by threatening to harm children by draining the coffers of local schools if they so much as dare to recognize our nation's true heritage. These ACLU bullies are nothing more than psychological terrorists."

I wish these people well but, I don't believe the ACLU will do anything except derive devilish glee from the fact its persecution is working. They despise Judeo-Christian beliefs and values and that is partly the reason for the assault on religion.

I do, however, enjoy the analogy of the Klan and the legal hoods. What an apt portrayal of the legal intimidation used by the ACLU to get its way. No wonder they are so protective of the rights of terrorists, its professional courtesy.

It's time to rise up and strike down the American Civil Liberties Klan.

Habla Gardening?

From Bakersfield California comes this story about a man who's getting grief for running an ad advertising his gardening business. The ad says, "having problems communicating with your current gardener?--Talk to us, we're English speaking".

Some Hispanics are calling the add racist.
“You know, it sounds very racist to me. It just opens up a can of worms,”said Lou Gomez, the President of the Hispanic Chamber of commerce. Now, that is an ill thought out statement in the first place. Opening a can of worms would probably be an excellent gardening tool but, let's get back to the matter at hand.

At the worst, this may not be politically correct but, it certainly isn't racist. If communicating in English is an asset to the service being sold then this man has every right to advertise it. If it isn't, then he's wasted his money which is a punishment in itself.

Every rational person knows this racial and ethnic sensitivity crap has gotten way out of hand.

Meanwhile, Up North

With the permission of Val over at Babalu Blog. I am crossposting this. It was so outrageous, I wanted to give it coverage because it needs to be read by as many people as possible. At least, all the nuts are not confined to the states.

I received the following letter from George of the Real Cuba sent to him by Canadian reader David M:

George,

This is absolutely unbelievable. The area comprising the City of Vancouver, Canada's third largest metropolitan area, is holding municipal elections on Saturday Nov 19. If you are a Canadian citizen living in Vancouver, and want to help defeat Castroists who help the tyrant humiliate and enslave our Cuban brothers and sisters, please read on.... One of the City's current council members, Tim Louis, is a staunch Castro supporter.

He has a portrait of Ernesto Guevara ("Che", who, as George has shown The Real Cuba's readers, was a mass murderer at the service of Castro) engraved on his wheelchair. He repeatedly appears at meetings in solidarity with Castro's murderous regime. You can see that for yourself by checking this link out:

http://www.workingtv.com/freethecuban5.html

Of the insane policies he's proposed, the most farfetched one must be the latest : to create a brothel, funded by the city's tax payers, to employ the city's dug addicted prostitutes. Did his friends Fidel or Hugo give him this idea? This is absolutely outrageous. More can be read by clicking on the below link:

http://www.proudtobecanadian.ca/blog/index/weblog/
extreme_liberal_left_
vancouver_candidate_wants_city_owned_brothel/

Also, in the latest issue of a Vancouver newsletter called the Westender, he was asked a question, and gave the below answer:

Q: If you were all-powerful for a day and could change one thing about Vancouver, what would it be?

A: After replacing the city's current coat of arms with a portrait of Che Guevara, I would make public transit free... and build one thousand units of social housing per annum.

I don't have a link to show the above Q&A, but I will be happy to provide you with a scanned copy of the newsletter if you or your readers would like to see this.

George, PLEASE help spread the word, no Cuban-friendly Canadian living in Vancouver wants to surrender a council seat to the supporter of jailers and torturers of 11.5 million innocent Cubans living on the island.

Thanks for your help. Regards, David M.

I know BabalĂş has many Canadian readers that totally agree with David M. Please help spread the word to keep Tim Louis, a sorry excuse for a human being, out of Vancouver's City Council.

Thanks again to Val at Babalu Blog, a site I encourage everyone to visit often. If he's not on your blogroll, add him.

Clinton Advises Israel, Don't Worry, Be Happy

According to NewsMax, Bill Clinton urged Israelis over the weekend not to overreact to comments by newly elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recommending that Israel be "wiped off the map."

What would Slick Willie consider an overreaction? He thinks we overreacted to turning the oval office into his personal intern proving grounds.

Speaking at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on Saturday, Clinton acknowledged that the remark was "outrageous," but he cautioned that the Iranian leader was "not elected because of his hatred for Israel or the West."

"He was elected because of the economic distress of ordinary Iranians, and which he promised to relieve by giving them financial assistance," Clinton explained, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Wait a minute, wasn't economic distress and anti-Semitism what helped launch Hitler into power in Germany?

He warned Israel not to act unilaterally when reacting to terrorist threats, saying that "true peace and security can only come through principled compromise."
I hate to use the same analogy but this sounds a lot like Chamberlain's sellout of Czechoslovakia. In fact to quote Neville," I believe it is peace for our time... Go home and get a nice quiet sleep."

Sure, Bubba, that's some fine advice. Your idea of foreign affairs is committing adultery with women from other nations.

What's Up, John?

Sticks And Stones Part II

Here's an update on my post from last week regarding Hugo Chavez and Vicente Fox. Things are heating up!

On Wednesday, Chávez accused Fox of acting like a ‘‘puppy” of the United States for supporting the U.S.-backed Free Trade Area of the Americas during the Americas Summit in Argentina last week.

The Mexican government said Friday that Venezuela must give a satisfactory explanation for President Hugo Chávez’ biting criticism of his Mexican counterpart, Vicente Fox,
or it will take ‘‘appropriate steps.”

“President Fox left bleeding from his wound,” Mr. Chavez said Sunday during his weekly radio and TV show, where he recalled a folk song from Venezuela's cattle-raising plains about a thorn, saying it seems appropriate for Mr. Fox since “you're a man of horses.” After reciting the lyrics, Mr. Chavez said: “Don't mess with me, sir, because you'll come out pricked.”

Mexico responded by saying a failure to apologize would force it to “ask for the immediate withdrawal of Venezuela's ambassador and a recall of the Mexican ambassador in that country.”

Thanks to MercoPress.

In God We Trust , The Battle Begins

Michael Newdow, favorite godless son of the ACLU, is making trouble again. He spoke to them on Saturday, this from the ACLU Oklahoma website:

The ACLU of Oklahoma Foundation will host its annual Bill of Rights Celebration on Saturday, November 12 at the Clarion Meridian Convention Center, 737 S. Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City. This year’s keynote speaker will be Michael Newdow, an emergency room physician with a law degree who objected to the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and took a case against their inclusion in the Pledge to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Then, on Sunday, Newdow announced that he planned to file a federal lawsuit this week asking for the removal of the national motto, "In God We Trust," from U.S. coins and dollar bills. He claims it's an unconstitutional endorsement of religion and "excludes people who don't believe in God."

Newdow says his opponents "want to get their religious views in our government".
How, may I ask is that any different than what he is doing? He is forcing his view of religion on a majority that has a very different opinion. This country has religious roots and the majority of Americans have no problem recognizing them. Once again, tyranny by the minority is on the march.

The Crowning Insult

Al-Qaeda has called the Queen of England “one of the severest enemies of Islam” in a video message justifying the July bombings in London.

In the video, Ayman al- Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama Bin Laden, says the Queen is ultimately responsible for Britain’s “crusader laws” and denounces her as an enemy of Muslims. They also seemed perturbed that Elizabeth is head of the Church of England.

Remember Charles, telling us how we misunderstand Muslims?
He scolded the West regarding its "unthinkable prejudices" about Islam and its customs and laws. Well Charles, they want your momma's head now. This is what appeasement gets you.

Thank God for Tony Blair.

Ambulance Chasers Of The ACLU

Here is a perfect example of the ACLU trawling the seas looking for legal action fish to put in its basket. There is no plaintiff so they are chumming the waters to find one.

This whole exercise is due to a program that requires drivers, pulled over for crimes such as reckless driving or excessive speeding, to ink their thumbprint on a ticket or face jail.

Director Dawn Wyland contacted anti Sheriff Arpaio groups to find someone who’s been would make a good candidate to sue. In other words, no DUIs.

Is there a shortage of litigation? Have these legal hacks nothing better to do than further clog our courtrooms with their incessant braying about feigned rights abuse?

Obviously, they have it in for Sheriff Arpaio who said, the ACLU
"sues me every time I go to the toilet." There is a positive side though. "Every time they go after me," Arpaio said Thursday, "my polls go up."

You have to wonder how many people are in favor of protecting the "right" to drive recklessly and/or at excessive speed. Of course, that is the means by which the ACLU is trying to drive this nation to ruin.

The following quote is from an article in the East Valley Tribune.

"We have drafted a memo on the points of law that show clear constitutional and statutory violations under Joe’s new fingerprint policy," wrote director Dawn Wyland in an e-mail to an anti-Arpaio group. "We are now looking for a plaintiff so we may bring a case and stop the abuse."

Stealing The Season

Graham Gets Romero's Goat

From the Detroit Free Press.

The Senate voted Thursday to bar terror suspects being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from challenging their captivity in federal courts, a move that seeks to reverse a landmark Supreme Court decision and heightens the debate about what to do with prisoners captured in the war on terror.

In a 49-42 vote that broke largely along party lines, the Senate adopted an amendment proposed by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on the defense authorization bill that would strip prisoners at Guantanamo of their right to file habeas corpus petitions in federal courts.

"We're going back to a model that's worked for over 200 years -- that prisoners in a war should not be able to go into court and sue the people that are fighting the war," said Graham, a former military judge.

Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union, called the vote "disgraceful."

"The American military indefinitely detains individuals -- and tortures some of them -- and the Senate votes to strip them of their rights," Romero said.

"It's unbelievable."

The ACLU is unhappy because the legislature is making the law instead of their judicial jackals. What's "unbelievable" is the ACLU's efforts to sabotage this nation's war effort by every means they can muster.

You cannot unleash the dogs of war and still keep choke collars about their necks. The enemy needs to realize we will use any and all means to win this conflict and we will not hamstring ourselves with the pathetic protestations of the ACLU. My concerns are only for the safety and security of America, its citizens and their property and for our allies. One must assume from the actions and statements of Romero and the ACLU that their sympathies are elsewhere.

Thanks to Senator Graham and the others who voted some common sense into what often seems to be governing by the Keystone Kops. Now, let's really piss off the ACLU and make this law.

Sticks And Stones

Hugo and Vicente are not playing nicely together. This should be no shock because Hugo doesn't know how to be nice. Still, the thought of these two little strutting roosters kicking dirt at each other does bring a smile to one's face. I wonder how long this duel of egos will last?

This from Caracas.

The Mexican government said Friday that Venezuela must give a satisfactory explanation for
President Hugo Chávez’ biting criticism of his Mexican counterpart, Vicente Fox,

or it will take ‘‘appropriate steps.”

On Wednesday, Chávez accused Fox of acting like a ‘‘puppy” of the United States for so staunchly supporting the U.S.-backed Free Trade Area of the Americas, or FTAA, during the Americas Summit in Argentina last week.

During two days of diplomatic sparring, the Venezuelan government has refused to apologize. ‘‘We demand a satisfactory explanation,” presidential spokesman RubĂ©n Aguilar told a news conference. ‘‘If this doesn’t happen, we will take appropriate steps.” He did not elaborate.
Aguilar said that Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez was going to discuss the situation with his Venezuelan counterpart, AlĂ RodrĂguez, later Friday.

Mother, May I Police Procedures

Police in Australia are being advised to treat Muslim domestic violence cases differently out of respect for Islamic traditions and habits.

The instructions come in a religious diversity handbook. It also recommends special treatment for suspects of Aboriginal, Baha'i, Sikh, Hindu and Buddhist backgrounds.

Here are some examples of the dos and don'ts in this drivel.

In incidents such as domestic violence, you need to understand traditions, ways of life and habits of Muslims. Work with Muslim leaders who will try to keep the family from fragmenting.

Do not hold interviews with Aboriginal suspects or set court hearings during Aboriginal ceremonies involving "initiation, birth, death, burials, mourning periods, women's meetings and cultural ceremonies in general".

Interview Baha'i suspects only after sunset in the fasting month.

Do not disturb a Sikh when he is reading the Sikh Holy Script, a process that normally takes 50 hours

Take your shoes off before entering Buddhist and Hindu houses and remove your hat before entering or searching churches.

Taking photos or samples from Aboriginal suspects could raise fears they could be used for sorcery and spiritual mischief.

Police Multicultural Advisory Bureau head Gerard Daniells, who created the handbook, said common sense would prevail over the guide in an emergency.

Really, Gerard? If there were any common sense we wouldn't be saddling our law enforcement with politically correct crap such as this.In fact,we wouldn't have an Advisory Bureau with such a pretentious sounding name and you would have to do real police work or find another job.

If you'd like to understand common sense here's an example:

Islamic Women's Welfare Council head Joumanah El Matrah called the guidelines appalling and dangerous. "The implication is one needs to be more tolerant of violence against Muslim women but they should be entitled to the same protection," Ms El Matrah said. "Police should not be advising other officers to follow those sorts of protocols. "It can only lead to harm."

Worth A Thousand Words

A painting of a bride and groom has been removed from the Liverpool Register Office in case it offends gay couples.

I guess what they want are pictures of two Romeos or two Juliets on a swing. Are heterosexuals allowed to be offended or is being offended a privilege reserved only for minorities?

Register Officer Janet Taubman said: "We had two pictures up before. There was a picture of a groom signing the register with a young bride and the other was of Romeo and Juliet on a swing.

"They were innocent but the new paintings are less likely to offend. We are looking forward to the civil partnerships. People have been waiting a long time."

The old pictures at Liverpool Register Office have been replaced with landscapes while the Wedding Room has been renamed The Ceremony Suite.

Liverpool City Council said: "The world's moved on. It's not just weddings any more - that's why it's the Ceremony Suite.

"This decision wasn't based on the new civil partnerships. They do all kinds of things - citizenship ceremonies, non-religious naming ceremonies and heterosexual partnership ceremonies.

"The wedding pictures did not reflect any of these. They have been moved to a more prominent position in the reception area."

These Are A Few Of Their Favorite People

The U.S. government is withholding documents that could show whether immigration laws have been used to bar foreign scholars from entering the country for ideological reasons, the American Civil Liberties Union said Wednesday.

Among the documents the ACLU has sought are records showing the use of a section of the Patriot Act that allows the government to block people who have used their positions "to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or to persuade others to support terrorist activity."

ACLU attorney Melissa Goodman said the statute was constitutionally problematic, "especially if it's being used in a way to prevent Americans from hearing ideas ... that they have a right to hear under the First Amendment."

The ACLU, the American Association of University Professors and the PEN American Center planned to file a lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan on Thursday seeking release of the documents.

More info at Newsday.com

This is inspired by the visa revocation of Tariq Ramadan. Just who is the ACLU defending this time? Mr. Ramadan's grandfather, Hasan al-Banna, founded the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The motto of this group is "Allah is our goal. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Holy war is our way. To die for Allah is our highest expectation."

Tariq is a Swiss citizen because his father, Sa‘id Ramadan, also a leading Islamist, fled from Egypt in 1954 following a crackdown on the brotherhood.

What this brief little history leads up to is the "Gentle Jihadist"by Lee Smith at The American Prospect. He introduces his article with this: "Tariq Ramadan touched off a firestorm with a charged accusation against French Jewish intellectuals. But the problems hardly stop there."

This piece not only will give you insight into Mr.Ramadan but also into some of the causes for the presnt Muslim problems in France. Please, take the time to read it. There is also a lot of very good information at danielpipes.org.

The ACLU also cited the visa denial of Dora Maria Tellez, a former Nicaraguan Sandinista leader who was scheduled to teach a course at Harvard Divinity School, in Cambridge, Mass. A letter to Tellez from the US Department of State quoted a section of the law that bans visas for anybody who "has, under circumstances indicating an intention to cause death or serious bodily injury, incited terrorist activity".

I'm sure we're all missing out on the pearls of wisdom these two would have strewn about our colleges and universities. Weren't you all miffed to find out your "right to hear" radical Islamic and Communist revolutionary ideas was being infringed upon? Well don't worry brothers and comrades, the ACLU is here to bring all the subversive, anti American, anti Christian news right to your doorstep and into your kids' classrooms. Isn't that special?

Protecting And Encouraging Illegals, ACLU Course 101

I'm a little early posting this contribution to the blogburst, but it was on my mind. I'm so sick of our government failing to address this illegal invasion problem that I just had to write about it again.

The time for debate is long gone. Years have passed since the 9/11 attack and we still can't figure out what to do about our borders. Only government employees could survive this inaction. If these people had real jobs they would have been laid off or fired outright. That's what needs to happen at the polls. For heaven's sake America get on the ball.

The Southwest Conference on Illegal Immigration, Border Security and Crime was in session last week. It was hosted by Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

In a speech to hundreds of police, lawmakers, human rights activists and Minutemen civilian border watchers at the conference, Thomas said using local law enforcement to weed out illegal immigrants makes sense because the two are already intertwined.

''The connection between illegal immigration and crime is undeniable,'' Thomas said.

With 3.5 million residents, Maricopa County -- which encompasses the Phoenix metro area -- is the fourth-most-populous county in the nation but has the highest crime rate, Thomas said.

But of course, the friends of the criminal, the ACLU think differently. Eleanor Eisenberg, the former director of the Arizona American Civil Liberties Union, argued against using local police to enforce immigration laws. She said for police, it could ruin their critical relationship with immigrant communities.

Would that be illegal alien communities?

In Cochise County, where I live, Sheriff Larry Dever said it's not a matter of whether local authorities should be involved in enforcing immigration laws. They already are, he said.

''We're engaged in it whether we want to be or not,'' Dever said. ''We need to decide what level to be involved and seek adequate funding.''

Why is it that the ACLU is always on the hind end of anything that has to do with protecting Americans? Why don't they become the MCLU, the Mexican Civil Liberties Union or the Muslim Civil Liberties Union? They certainly aren't on the side of American's civil liberties.

Tip of the stetson to the Monterey Herald.

Demolition Man, Rest In Pieces

Another victory in the War on Terror as the "demolition man" Azahari Husin has apparently blown himself up along with two henchmen. Azahari was the mad Malaysian bomb maker, said to be one of the world's best, that was suspected in the attack on the Marriott Hotel in Jakarta and the Bali bombing that killed over 200 innocent people.

It seems appropriately just that Husin blew himself to bits after police surrounded him in his east Java hideout. He was Indonesia's most wanted man, a dangerous member of Al Qaeda.

A former professor of statistics, who studied in Great Britain and Australia, before he became a "born again" Muslim, he is believed to have trained in Afghanistan and the Phillipines. He was an alleged member of Jemaah Islamiah a militant network that advocates the creation of a fundamentalist Muslim country in Southeast Asia.

Score another point for the good guys. Details coming in at the Sydney Morning Herald.

Today's Tool Of Media Mendacities

It's pervasive. Everywhere you turn the media is putting it's spin on how it wants you to see the world. Even reviews of movies have turned into another opportunity to bash America. Here's a tidbit from the Today Show.

Gene Shalit: "Good morning and welcome to the Critic's Corner. Jarhead, from the distinguished director Sam Mendes, is an immediate classic. No exploding mines, no flying shrapnel its glory is in its understatement, its frightening quietude. Jarhead, that's slang for a Marine, is set in Desert Storm, America's first oil war."
I guess Shalit is the latest shill for the far left media assault. Just when I thought their spokesmen couldn't get more cartoonish than "Looney Andy Rooney", they roll out Shalit. Who's next, Phil Spectre?

War Powers Before The Supreme Court

Here's a case that will bear watching. Roberts had to disqualify himself, a concept the left seems to have trouble comprehending. A lot will ride on this outcome and I will be curious to see how the court decides.

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a challenge to President Bush's war powers, taking on a case to decide whether Osama bin Laden's Yemeni driver should face a war crimes court at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

In an unusual move, the justices agreed to review a federal appeals court decision by their new chief justice, John G. Roberts, who with two other federal judges had earlier upheld the president's military commissions in Salim Hamdan vs. Donald Rumsfeld.

Roberts disqualified himself, and is expected to do the same when the court hears arguments in the case, probably in March.

Hamdan's lawyers claim the president exceeded his constitutional powers by authorizing his defense secretary to create the commissions in the first place, without congressional approval; they also claim that the commissions, as designed, violate the laws of war, because, they argue, the United States violated the Geneva Conventions by designating Hamdan an enemy combatant instead of classifying him as a prisoner of war.

And, of course, no Supreme Court decision can be rendered without the obligatory rat squealings from the left.

''The Supreme Court now has a second chance to make clear that the Bush administration policies in Guantánamo run afoul of the best of American values,'' said Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union. ``What's on the line is nothing less than our national commitment to rule of law, and whether we are comfortable being a pariah in the eyes of the world community.''

The question should simply be is the action by the government constitutional or not. Forget all the emotionalism, rhetoric etc. let the US Constitution decide. That is the job of the court. However, what Ratso Romero really wants to be the deciding factor
is not American jurisprudence or constitutional law but, the international sense of what is lawful. I guess the ACLU defines being right with popularity. If that's the case they should close up shop.

Chief Clown Reinhardt And The 9th Circus

A Republican proposal to split up the three ring debacle known as the 9th circuit court is meeting resistance from guess who? The clowns, of course. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Republicans are attacking "an independent judiciary. On the merits, there is no justification for the Republican court splitting proposal. It is simply a partisan exercise to appease the radical right."

Also, piling out of the clown filled little liberal car was Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)

The recent wacky and zany routines led by Clown Reinhardt have included, "The Pledge of Allegiance is Unconstitutional and "Parents Have No Fundamental Rights About What Their Children May be Taught."

Someone needs to swipe Reinhardt's seltzer bottle and send him to impeachment land. Until then, we need a Bozo Alert outside the 9th circus tent.

Chinese Gardeners Mow Path To Russia

Don't let Vicente Fox see this story or we'll be invaded by guys who claim to want a future in lawn care. Although, grass would have a whole different meaning and there would be no note asking for a return trip.

Russian border officials in the country’s Far East have arrested two Chinese men who attempted to sneak across the border into Russia on a lawnmower, local media reported.

When they were stopped, the unauthorized immigrants claimed they had gotten lost while cutting grass. They showed a note in broken Russian written by hand, but with their photographs saying: “We are workers, who clean fire-prevention zone. We got lost. Please, return me to China”. They claimed it was given by Chinese forest police.

Russian authorities said this was not the first time that illegal entrants had claimed to be lost gardeners.

I've Got Your Sensitivity, Right Here

A chief constable has condemned the portrayal of Muslims in a police magazine cartoon, describing it as offensive and sacrilegious.

The Police Federation magazine cartoon shows officers taking their shoes off outside a mosque, as a bearded man escapes clutching bags of explosives.

Found at the BBC News.

Let me get this straight. Muslims can call for the elimination of an entire nation, burn down other religions places of worship and sections of a European capital, behead people, desecrate the bodies of the dead etc. etc. etc. but, this is offensive and sacriligious? I don't think so. The world has had more than it can take of kowtowing to this backward cult of repression. They need to get over themselves and we need to stop enabling them to keep acting out. This sensitivity nonsense is all one-sided catering to a bunch of fanatics and mental cases. It must end.

Iran Cancels Kofi's Visit

Despite his dismay over the hate filled statements of Iranian madman Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kofi Annan will not be going to Iran during his trip through the Middle East and Asia this month.

Iran has gotten away with calling for the destruction of another nation and the only result has been the obligatory indignation of a few world leaders. Where was the outrage in our Congress?

And here's the feeble, weak-kneed pass by the great United Nations.

“The secretary-general and the Iranian government have mutually agreed that this is not an appropriate time for him to travel to Iran,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said.

“In light of the ongoing controversy, it would have been difficult to advance the agenda that he had wanted to discuss with the Iranian leadership,” Dujarric said.

But, in Tehran, a foreign ministry source had a different story, contending it was Iran, not Annan, who wanted the trip rescheduled “to a more appropriate time in the future,” the official news agency Irna reported. It said comments made by Annan on Thursday were “under the influence of American officials and were not interpreted well in Tehran.”

Before embarking on his trip to the Middle East, Annan will visit Paris for a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac tomorrow. They can discuss exile possibilities for Jacques once the Muslims drive him out of France. From there, he will go to Saudi Arabia,Egypt, Tunisia and Pakistan.

Saturday's Funny

Ed was relaxing on the beach in Fiji. He was surprised when he recognized Jim, a former high school classmate he hadn't seen since graduation. His old friend had been something of a "druggie" in high school, and this was the last place Ed expected to run into him.

Ed approached Jim, and grabbed his hand. "Jim, it's me Ed, from high school. Man, it's sure been a long time. You're looking great! You must have really done okay for yourself."

"I have," whispered Jim . "I'm a very successful attorney with the ACLU. But, if you run into my mom don't say anything. She got the idea that I was a drug dealer back when we were in high school, and she would be mortified if she knew how I really make my money."

Je Vous Ai Compris, I have Understood You

The man who spoke those words to the Algerians is the man who began France's dance of demise with the Arab world. Merci, Charles DeGaulle.

Where are you now, you who forced NATO to leave French soil, opposed British entry into the Common Market, fostered extremist separatist sentiments in Quebec, and supported the Arabs in their war with Israel. You are dead and gone some 35 years but your "policy of grandeur" has stooped the shoulders of a nation too weak to bear it and now the chickens have come home to roost or roast, as the case may be.

Your children are paying for the sins of their father. Paris is burning; the fires set by the hands of the children of Arabs you flirted with in your hopes of having a role on the international stage. All for naught, Charles, your brief moment of pomp and preening has passed and now the bill is due and payable on demand.

It was you, Charles, who said,"France has no friends, only interests" and I'm afraid you have caused that to become a reality. The Americans will not be bailing out the French anymore. It is not in our interest to do so. C'est la vie.

Building The Dike, Stemming The Tide

There has been little publicity about the border wall in our media and even less about the North Koreans caught trying to cross that border.

It is time to begin contacting your representatives to gain support for this wall and you just might ask why there are North Koreans in Mexico and what happened to the four that were apprehended. Inquiring minds want to know.

The apprehension of "Other Than Mexican" illegals is a nightmare. Back in June Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies discussed it on Hannity and Colmes. Here's some of what he said in his interview.

When they get the non-Mexican illegals who are Central and South American, but also Chinese and Middle Eastern and everything else, they can't just dump them back across the border, because Mexico won't take them.

So they — the border patrol is stuck having to make a decision. Either they lock them up in detention facilities until they're processed and have a hearing and what have you. Or they have to let them go if they don't have enough space.

And the problem is, they don't have enough money and enough detention space to hold people, so they end up just having to let them go into the United States with a free pass.

There was a high up in Hezbollah terrorist who was smuggled across the Mexican border by a ring that included a Mexican — at least one Mexican government official -- and they didn't find him until he was in Michigan and now he's locked up.

What follows now is an excerpt from an article in a foreign newspaper.

Republican lawmakers have introduced a bill to build a 3200-kilometre wall along the US border with Mexico to keep illegal immigrants out.

The legislation aims to "create a border security fence from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico," said House of Representatives members Duncan Hunter of California and Virgil Goode of Virginia in a statement.

Hunter told CNN it was important to identify who crosses the border and who helps them do it, adding that four North Koreans were among those arrested trying to enter the US illegally in the past few months.

It has been reported that Republican lawmakers were also considering a bill ending birthright citizenship, or jus soli, which is a right granted under the US constitution.

"There is a general agreement about the fact that citizenship in this country should not be bestowed on people who are the children of folks who come into this country illegally," said Representative Tom Tancredo of Colorado.

A group of Republican lawmakers trying to find consensus on immigration is studying whether the issue of jus soli would require a constitutional amendment or a congressional statute.

Reinhardt, Lackey Of The ACLU

I have been posting lately about Judge Reinhardt and how he is a tool of the ACLU. Well, here he goes again. He wants your children. They're not yours, they belong to the state! Read about this latest travesty of a decision.

Then, read this and this.

Parents have no constitutional right to prevent public schools from exposing children to sexual topics, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Wednesday. The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a lower court's decision that found the rights of parents were not violated by a California public school district that allowed a psychological survey of its elementary school children. Among the survey questions asked of the children were 10 with sexual references, such as "Can't stop thinking about sex" and "Not trusting people because they might want sex." A group of parents whose children were surveyed sued the Palmdale School District, alleging their right to privacy and civil rights had been violated because control of their children's upbringing had been "robbed." A three-judge panel held the parents have a right to inform their children as they wish about sex but do not have the right to prevent a public school from providing students with information it deems appropriate. "Schools cannot be expected to accommodate the personal, moral or religious concerns of every parent," Judge Stephen Reinhardt wrote for the panel. "Such an obligation would not only contravene the educational mission of the public schools, but also would be impossible to satisfy."

It's time to think about impeachment for this tool of evil.

"Information it deems appropriate"? That is the parent's decision, not the sexual agenda of the ACLU.

I sincerely doubt the vast majority of parents in our country want their children subjected to this kind of questioning in school. Hopefully, his decison will be taken to the Supreme Court where this rogue judge will be overturned once again. How many times must we, the people, be subjected to the arrogant insanity of Reinhardt? America, respond! Let's make an example of this pathetic excuse of a judge and send him packing.

Rise Romero, Here Come Da Judge

In the latest piece of propaganda from the ACLU, Anthony Romero opens his press release with the following.

"The ACLU participates in more cases before the Supreme Court than anyone besides the U.S. government itself."

This gives you a clue as to how much unbridled power and money this organization has to spend on trying to rewrite our constitution.

The ACLU's target this time is Judge Alito and Romero is threatening that the ACLU will compile a report on Judge Alito's civil liberties record and , in Romero's words, "will make sure each and every Senator understands that record and acts on his or her obligation to protect the Supreme Court's vital position in our constitutional democracy".

I'm sure we can trust the ACLU to be its usual impartial self in this analysis. The ACLU has no problem with activist judges who legislate from the bench. That is the way they implement the tyranny of the minority. Therefore, they will attack Judge Alito for decisions in which he interpreted the US Constitution as it was written and not as seen through the kaleidoscopic lenses of Romero and the ACLU.

The ACLU desires a different kind of justice and judge. The Ninth Circuit Courty of Appeals is more to their liking. For instance, Judge Reinhardt of that court was nominated by Jimmy Carter and married the former head of the Southern California ACLU. Read more about that here.

Known, by some, as one of the most overturned judges in history, Reinhardt has made some interesting decisions and observations.

  • He ruled the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because it contained the words "under God."
  • In 1993, he complained in an opinion piece, published by the Washington Post, that there were not enough homosexual judges.
  • He believes using police dogs to track down drugs or criminal suspects violates the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures.
  • He overturned a Washington state referendum banning assisted suicide in Compassion In Dying v. Washington.
In that last ruling he gave a warning to those with "religious convictions," on issues like abortion and assisted suicide, saying, "They are not free…to enforce their views, their religious convictions, or their philosophies on all the other members of a democratic society…"

I guess if the judge had his way, along with the ACLU, people with religious convictions would be denied the vote. Sorry boys, it ain't gonna happen.

Along with Reinhardt, on the same court, you have Marsha Berzon, appointed by Clinton and a former member of the board of directors of the ACLU of Northern California.

This is the style of judicial system the ACLU desires, where democracy is thwarted because only the liberal aristocracy knows what is "good". This would be a democracy where your options are limited by the likes of George Soros, Cindy Sheehan, Ward Churchill and Harry Bellafonte. This would be a democracy where your vote wouldn't matter because the only choices offered all have the same outcome (sounds like the Communists doesn't it). This is the tyranny of the minority and they plan to have their way at any cost.

Stop them now, don't let this happen on your watch. Support Judge Samuel Alito and keep our court safe from left wing ideologues.

Boobs For Dummies

The Netherlands must be a strange place indeed. Windmills, wooden shoes and now the wall of breasts. Somehow, I picture a lot of "just browsing" customers and hey...what's that guy doing to the electrical socket?

A Dutch designer has created a wall of fake breasts to help male shoppers buy bras that fit their wives or girlfriends.

Wendy Rameckers works at the Piet Zwart Institute for Retail and Design in Rotterdam, reports Het Nieuwsblad.

"Most men have a selective memory," she explained. "They know all about their car, but never seem to know their wife's bra size.

"When trying to buy a sexy bra for their wife or girlfriend, usually they point to other women in the shop or, when asked about size, they say a 'handful'."

The wall consists of rows of silicon breasts in all sizes. By look and touch, male shoppers can work out the right size.

Attacks On Alito Already In Progress

The donks are tripping over each other in their mad war dance to stop anyone conservative from getting on the court.

The same holier than thou hypocites that are against racial profiling are trying to demean the latest candidate's Italian ancestry. This is from Chris Matthews of "Hardball", who is no friend of the right.

Matthews said, "I'm sitting here holding in
my hands a pretty disgusting document. This is put out not for attribution, but
it comes from the Democrats. They're circulating it; I can say that. The first
thing they nail about this Italian-American is he failed to win a mob conviction
in a trial ... way back in '88. In other words, they nail him on not putting
some Italian mobsters in jail from the family. Why would they bring up this
ethnically charged issue as the first item they raise against Judge Alito?

We know why. Because they are a group of low class, gutter worshipping, immature louts who have no integrity, morals or self discipline. They are the living testimonials to the failed liberal educational system, serving only the whims of the democrat demagogues.

Speaking of which, the usual suspects are thrasing around in liberal induced spasms, Kennedy, Boxer, Leahy etc. Leahy, in a fit of arrogant petulance, called the nomination a "needless provocation". How pretentious is that? If anything might be deemed needless, it is your negative approach to not getting your way senator. Look at the man's judicial credentials and yea or nay him. Otherwise, shut your whining socialist pie hole and go hug a tree.
