Arab Village Moves To Israel

This gives you a pretty good idea of who we're dealing with in Palestine. When your own people are afraid to remain, because they fear for their lives and get no guarantee of protection from the authorities, it's pretty sad.

Israel has done the right thing in taking these people in and ultimately will be better off for doing so. What a difference in cultures.

Most residents of a Gaza Strip Arab village were transplanted to Israel yesterday because they feared Palestinian retaliation for alleged collaboration with Israeli security.

The 250 residents of Dahaniya feared they would be killed once the Israeli army completes its pullout from Gaza in about two weeks.

They sued in Israeli courts to avoid being left behind in Gaza, as had been planned by pullout authorities.

"It is accepted on the Palestinian street that everyone who comes from Dahaniya is a collaborator," said their lawyer, Chaim Mandelbaum. "They are seen as enemies of the Palestinian people."

Yesterday, most residents were escorted by a cordon of Israeli soldiers to their new home outside the southern Israeli town of Arad.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said he would evacuate more West Bank settlements but only "at the end phase of the road map [the American-backed peace plan]."

In a TV interview, Sharon said that when the final Israeli-Palestinian borders are negotiated according to the road map, "some settlements will be removed."

But, he added, "There will not be any more unilateral disengagement."

Also yesterday, a 14- year-old West Bank Palestinian boy was arrested carrying three pipe bombs near the town of Nablus.

Eleanor Clift, News Mercenary

ELeanor Clift has called our military mercenaries. Has the woman no decency at all? How can any American make a statement like this ? Why should the greatest military in the world have to put up with her asinine comments? Any alleged news group that gives this woman a forum in the future needs to be put out of business.

A group that supports the U.S. military is demanding an apology from Newsweek magazine's Eleanor Clift, who recently characterized America's armed forces as a "mercenary Army."Her comments -- made this past weekend on the syndicated TV program "The McLaughlin Group" -- were "unfounded and grossly inappropriate," said the Freedom Alliance. In an Aug. 30 letter to Clift, Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon asked her to retract her comment and apologize to the armed forces and their families. Clift made the comment during a discussion about military recruiting efforts:"But I think what we're coming to grips with is the fact that we actually have a mercenary Army," Clift said, according to a transcript of "The McLaughlin Group" program. "And it doesn't have a nice ring to it. We call it 'volunteers,' but we're basically paying people to serve their country. And if you're going to pay people and have a mercenary Army, you're going to have to pay the market rate. And so the bounties are going up -- more money for tuition, higher enlistment bonuses -- and I think it's appropriate."The Freedom Alliance said it is "wholly inappropriate" to describe America's military men and women as mercenaries."It is a vile and thankless description of those who are responsible for defending your life and right to free expression," Kilgannon wrote in the letter."A professional wordsmith such as yourself should understand that mercenary troops have no loyalties, no ties and no bonds to any nation. They fight not for duty, flag or country but for selfish gain. They have no regard for political ideology and no respect for national interests. Often, at the first sign of resistance, mercenary troops turn and run."Those qualities do not describe U.S. troops, Kilgannon said, adding that Clift should "be ashamed of yourself for suggesting otherwise."Kilgannon suggests that during her next appearance on "The McLaughlin Group," Clift should apologize - and retract her description of U.S. troops as "mercenaries." "You may also want to search your heart for a little more consideration for those who keep this nation strong and free," Kilgannon writes. The Freedom Alliance, founded in 1990 by Lt. Col. Oliver North, describes its mission as advancing the American heritage of freedom by honoring and encouraging military service, defending the sovereignty of the United States and promoting a strong national defense. It also exposes anti-military bias in the media.

The American Legion Speaks Out

The following is from the American Legion Website:

"On May 26, Representative John Hostettler (IN) introduced H. R. 2679, the Public Expression of Religion Act of 2005 or abbreviated as “PERA”. The bill, currently with 19 co-sponsors, seeks to amend the federal law which threatens constitutionally protected expression of religion by State and local officials resulting from the threat of potential litigants seeking monetary damages and attorney fees. In lieu of attorney fees under Title 42, United States Code, Chapter 1988, a civil action brought under 42 USC 1979 alleging a violation of the Constitution’s establishment of religion clause would be limited to the sole remedy of injunctive relief and not reimbursement of attorneys' fees.

The American Legion supports the intent of H.R. 2679. This country was founded by men of profound religious belief. In fact, the first sentence of the First Amendment to the Constitution states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." This is another example of a vocal minority trying to impinge on the rights of the majority. All members of The American Legion family should contact their congressional members and urge them to become co-sponsors of H.R. 2679."

An Important Day In History

August, 29th.

Hey Chirac, remember this day in history?

1944
American troops marched down the Champs Elysees in Paris as the French capital continued to celebrate its liberation from the Nazis.

Hey Democrats, remember this filibuster, today in history. Do you really want to keep up the tradition?

1957
Sen. Strom Thurmond, D-S.C., ended a filibuster - the longest in Senate history - against a civil rights bill after talking for 24 hours, 18 minutes.

Bush and Congress Preparing A BOHICA

BOHICA = Bend Over Here It Comes Again!

Get ready to be sold out. The plan is in the works to keep 10 million or more illegals in our country with a symbolic slap on the wrist and the wink of an eye.
Any politician that votes to support this abomination should be tarred and feathered and ridden out of town.

Pay close attention during the coming weeks and watch the Washington marketing machine in motion, as it attempts to set us up to swallow the rotten fruit of its own misadventures and failure of the last several decades.

Remember the previous amnesty? That was to be the final one and so we were lied to again and again and again. It needs to stop here and now. We must make sure Washington understands we will not accept this travesty of justice.

PHOENIX - Struggling to pacify his party's warring wings, President Bush is moving toward allowing illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. before February 2004 to qualify for guest-worker visas. People smuggled in after then would be deported.

Bush and his advisers are caught between their supporters in the business sector, who believe the economy needs those workers, and conservatives whose priority is to clamp down on illegal immigration. The White House hopes to have a detailed proposal to Congress in late September or early October.

According to administration and congressional officials who took part in a series of White House meetings this summer, Bush does not favor requiring illegal immigrants to be sent home to apply for the visas.

From the Sierra Vista Herald.

Another Attack On Our Border Patrol

This is just another example of the violence illegals bring to our borders. This also confirms their disdain for our laws and their disrespect for our country.
In their effort to avoid apprehension they deliberately endangered the lives of our Border Patrol Agents.

Illegal immigrants threw rocks at a Border Patrol helicopter, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing when one of the rocks damaged the rotor, the agency said.

Neither the pilot nor the Border Patrol observer was injured.

The A-Star helicopter was two miles west of the U.S. Port of Entry in Andrade, Calif., on Tuesday when a group of immigrants began throwing rocks at the aircraft.

One baseball-sized rock gashed the rotor, forcing the pilot to land nearby, said Michael Gramley, spokesman for the Border Patrol sector based in Yuma, Ariz.

Gramley said he did not know how high the helicopter was hovering when it was struck, but he said it was being repaired and is expected back in service soon.

After the incident, 17 people were apprehended for illegally crossing the border, and two of them were being investigated for smuggling. Ten immigrants evaded capture.

The investigation into the rock-throwing was continuing.

Al Sharpton And David Duke, Together At Last

When you are continually bumbling about the edges of the extreme, you are bound to begin espousing some of the equivalent opinions and dogma of your enemy. This would be a good warning sign, were you sane and intelligent enough to recognize it, that perhaps you have strayed too far and should reconsider some of your decisions. Unfortunately, by the time you have arrived at that point you are usually beyond being able to make the needed adjustments.

Thus, the reverend Al finds himself on the same side as David Duke, each of them trying to pitch their own unbalanced tent next to Cindy Sheehan's and create the greatest three ring circus of all time. Cue the calliope music, the clowns have arrived.

The Rev. Al Sharpton will go to Texas on Sunday to support anti-Bush protester Cindy Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq and who is demanding a troop pullout from that country.

"She's shown real moral courage. She's put a face on the war," said Sharpton, an anti-war advocate who will participate in an ecumenical breakfast on Sheehan's behalf in President Bush's home town of Crawford at 11 a.m.

Sharpton noted that the event with Sheehan will mark the 42nd anniversary of the historic civil rights march on Washington and Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.

"I want to do whatever I can to support her," Sharpton said.

NY Post

Cindy Sheehan, a mother who lost a son in the Iraq War, is determined to prevent other mothers and fathers from experiencing the same loss.

Courageously she has gone to Texas near the ranch of President Bush and braved the elements and a hostile Jewish supremacist media to demand a meeting with him and a good explanation why her son and other’s sons and daughters must die and be disfigured in a war for Israel rather than for America.

Recently, she had the courage to state the obvious that her son signed up in the military to protect America not to die for Israel.

From the beginning, this war was orchestrated from top to bottom by Jewish Neocons that saw the war as one for Israel’s strategic objectives. They ramped up the war through Jews such as Perle and Wolfowitz, the false intelligence through CIA analyst Stuart Cohen and by Israel’s Mossad, and had a compliant Jewish-dominated media to cheer on the war.

Clueless in New York

Just a Saturday laugh, hope you're all having a great weekend.

Dear Abby:
My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows he cheats on me. It is so humiliating.
Also, since he lost his job four years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does is buy cigars and cruise around and shoot the bull with his pals, while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our daughter went away to college, he doesn't even pretend to like me and hints that I am a lesbian.

What should I do?Signed,Clueless-------------------------------------

----------------------------------Dear Clueless:
Grow up and dump him. For Pete's sake, you don't need him anymore. You're a United States senator from New York. Act like it!

Utah Battles ACLU Over Porn Access For Kids

Excerpt from the desertnews.com follows.

Eleven of the 15 plaintiffs challenging a law passed this year to protect children from Internet pornography may no longer have a case if the Utah attorney general wins a dismissal that was filed Tuesday.
Mark Shurtleff is asking a judge to dismiss the parties because they can't prove significant damages based on the law that was passed during the 2005 Legislature.
Several bookstores, local artists, the American Civil Liberties Union of Utah, various Internet service providers and others filed the original lawsuit against the state in June, attempting to prevent anti-pornography enforcement by the new law.

The law is intended to offer consumers viable protection in the form of an optional filtering system, not one that would be forced upon every user. The requirements would have no effect on Internet users who choose not to block any sites.

"Why would the ACLU want to stop parents from protecting their children from Internet pornography," said Jerrold Jensen, assistant attorney general representing the state in the lawsuit. "We have 'adult only' sections in magazine stores. Why should the Internet be different?"

A fair question Mr. Jensen and one that strikes to the heart of the matter. The ACLU continues its unrelenting war against the traditions, values and freedoms of this country. That is why there is such a ground swell of public opinion against them.

It Hurts When I Do That...Then Don't Do That

Just when you think things couldn't get more ridiculous...

As doctors warn more patients that they should lose weight, the advice has backfired on one doctor with a woman filing a complaint with the state saying he was hurtful, not helpful.

Her complaint, filed about a year ago, was investigated by a panel of the New Hampshire Board of Medicine, which recommended that Dr. Bennett be sent a confidential letter of concern. The board rejected the suggestion and asked the attorney general's office to investigate.

Bennett rejected that office's proposal that he attend a medical education course and acknowledge that he made a mistake.

Envision it.

Doctor: You need to lose weight, you're too fat.

Fat Woman: Well, I want another opinion.

Doctor: OK, you're stupid too.

People who don't want honest answers shouldn't solicit opinions and advice. They should join the lunatic left and frivol away their existence humming Kumbaya in politically correct fantasy towers, while the rest of us deal with the grim realities of life.

The Ignoble Origin Of The ACLU

Today's rant about the ACLU is short and to the point. The following is a quote from WorldNetDaily . Please follow the link and read the entire article.

"One of the great myths of the 20th – and now 21st – century is the belief that the American Civil Liberties Union was an organization that had a noble beginning, but somehow strayed off course.

That myth is untrue. The ACLU set a course to destroy America – her freedom and her values – right from the start."

Read the truth about Roger Baldwin and Crystal Eastman, the founders. Learn more about the relationship to Earl Browder, Emma Goldman and Margaret Sanger.

What is the conclusion?

"Instead of being an organization that simply took a 'wrong turn,' the ACLU has devoted itself from the very beginning to the devastation of America's most cherished traditions, values, and laws."

And, when you are done with that, visit Stop the ACLU and find out what you can do to help fight subversion in America. Remember, our traditions, values and freedoms are at stake.

Modern Day Aviation Decisions

What century are we in?

Lufthansa has decided to delete rows 13 and 17 from aircraft seating. "All over the world it is customary to take into account the widespread superstitious beliefs," the airline's website explains.

"On board Lufthansa aircraft correspondingly the 12th row is followed by the 14th. The attentive passenger, however, will also notice the absence of row 17. The reason is that in Italy and Brazil, 17 is regarded as unlucky."

But this "consideration for differing sensibilities" goes only so far. Flight LH 013 departs Hamburg daily for Frankfurt, even on Friday the 13th.

Thanks to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Able Danger Confirmed

So, more evidence that we were once again betrayed by the Clinton cabal. Yet, his wife has the temerity to offer herself as a potential presidential candidate. Bill and Hillary have no morals and therefore have no shame.

Pay a visit to Blogs Against Hillary and keep an eye on the continuing Clinton conspiracy.

A respected Naval intelligence officer stepped forward last night to confirm that a secret Pentagon program raised alarm bells about the 9/11 ringleader more than a year before the attacks.

Capt. Scott Phillpott, a former manager of the controversial unit code named Able Danger, issued a brief statement saying the data-mining program identified hijacker Mohamed Atta as a possible threat.

"My story is consistent. Atta was identified in January/February 2000. I have nothing else to say," Phillpott said in the statement issued through the office of Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.).

Phillpott, a 22-year Navy veteran who is still on active duty, is the second military officer to surface in the last week with reports that potentially valuable clues surfaced in advance of the terror attacks.

Veteran Army intelligence officer Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer said last week that Clinton-era lawyers blocked Able Danger managers from alerting the FBI that Atta and three other 9/11 hijackers were in the United States.

Richardson's Border Debacle

What's really going on at the border ? Doesn't our government also have a duty and an obligation to protect American citizens at home and abroad? And, if so, why don't the governors call out the National Guard ?

It would seem Richardson and Napolitano are interested only in the political benefits they might derive from posturing over this travesty.
Richardson won't call out the New Mexico Guard and he's against a wall. Why? Because, "that sends a message that America is not valuing immigrants," he told ABC.

What a crock! First of all, the only people interpreting it that way are those who want the invasion to continue and secondly, what kind of message is Richardson sending to American citizens? The same devisive one he has always sent since he was in the House, talking about illegal immigration being "unfairly attacked". American Patrol has one of his infamous quotes posted.

The Mexican staging area for illegal aliens that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson demanded this week be bulldozed is among hundreds of similar sites along the border sponsored and maintained by the Mexican government.
Many of the sites are marked with blue flags and pennants to signal that water is available. Others, such as the Las Chepas site that Mr. Richardson denounced, are a collection of old, mostly abandoned buildings or ranch houses where illegals gather for water and other supplies -- sometimes bartering with smugglers, or "coyotes," for passage north.
Las Chepas, law-enforcement authorities said, also is a center for drug smugglers looking to move marijuana and cocaine into the United States.
Rafael Laveaga, spokesman for the Mexican Embassy in Washington, yesterday said his government "has a duty and obligation by law to protect Mexican citizens at home and abroad."

Iranian Government And Women's Rights

Here is a cause for the Hollywood looney crowd. What stars will be flying off to Tehran to protest? How many who stay home will gather outside the Iranian embassy? Will Ahmadinejad be the butt of jokes at all the Glitter Town gatherings? Will George Soros dip into his fanny pack and produce millions to start organizations aimed at bringing down this government?
The question is, how much rage and venom will this evoke from the outspoken left? Zip!

Tehran, Iran, Aug. 20 – The man designated by Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as his Minister of Justice vowed on Saturday that “improperly-veiled women” will be treated as if they had no Islamic veil at all.

Jamal Karimi-Rad told the local press, “Being improperly veiled and not wearing a veil are no different. When it is clear from the appearance of a woman that she has violated the law, then the crime is obvious and law enforcement agents can take legal measures against her”.

“Crimes such as mal-veiling or other prohibited acts, which happen before the eyes of a law enforcement agent, are evident crimes and must be dealt with in accordance with the law”, Karimi-Rad said.

Karimi-Rad also made it clear that members of the para-military Bassij and the notorious Ansar-e Hizbollah, government-organised gangs of hooligans, are regarded as law enforcement agents in clergy-ruled Iran.

Women have been facing a harsher crackdown since the June elections that led to Ahmadinejad’s presidency.

In July, Iran deployed squads of women-only vice police to clamp down on “un-Islamic” dress. The semi-official Jomhouri Islami recently reported that women have been arrested in Iran for “disrespecting Islamic virtues and for having repulsive and immoral attire”.

With the arrival of a top commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as the country’s new police chief, a new summer-long crackdown on “social vice” in Tehran was launched targeting young women.

State-run news agencies reported that “mal-veiled or unveiled individuals inside and outside of cars” would be the target of arrests by Iran’s State Security Forces, the paramilitary police force. The police would also embark on a systematic clampdown on “shops and public places where public chastity and Islamic values are ignored”.

Pernicious Prattle

"America needs to drop its obsession with being number one. It is time for the United States to become a member of the world community rather than a murderous bully."

That is a quote by Jason Miller whose affiliations include Amnesty International, the ACLU and the Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

Where can you find the entire liberal rant? Why in your friendly neighborhood copy of Al-Jazeera.

The article is filled with the self-righteous pontifications of the looney tune left. Under it all, you can hear the unbridled glee that the war may not be going well and the joy that America might fail. A disgusting diatribe from the poisoned pen of the left, etched into the parchment of our enemy. God save the Republic, from scoundrels such as these.

Yesterday, I was too exhausted to blog. But, when I see twisted, subversive garbage like this Al-Jazeera opinion piece, I am energized to come to America's defense .

A Culture Of Corruption

One of Mexico's biggest problems is that so many of its people in authority can be bought. The system is corrupt, often from the top down.

The mass exodus of people from Mexico will never be halted until the internal problems of the country are addressed and fixed.

The Mexican government admitted that corruption is an extended practice in the country, long rooted and therefore “part of the national culture”, and will take many years to eradicate.
A report on fraud and corruption among small and medium companies done by public relations company Consulting and Research, CEI, showed Mexicans begin paying bribes at the age of twelve, that on any average day 507 crimes of that nature are committed by such companies and that the overall annual cost exceeds 29,7 billion US dollars.

Government House spokesperson Ruben Aguilar said that the report “must be addressed by government at all levels”, adding that the eradication of such practices requires a joint effort from government and bills that promote transparency, as well as from common citizens and companies willing to pay in exchange for some kind of favour or privilege.

“Corruption in Mexico is a cultural practice deeply ingrained for decades and has become a cultural referent adopted in daily life by the vast majority of Mexicans at all social levels”, added Mr. Aguilar.

However he said that since conservative president Vicente Fox took office five years ago the country has advanced in building a legal framework to help prevent and detect corruption acts as well as given greater transparency to government procurement.

If You Build It They Won't Come

From the Arizona Daily Sun.

A state lawmaker believes Arizonans are so frustrated with illegal immigration that they're willing to raise fees -- and possibly tax themselves -- to build a fence along the state's southern border.

The idea has some support from those who live with the problem of border crossers, like Jack Ladd whose Cochise County ranch includes about 10 1/2 miles along the border. Bud Strom, whose ranch comes within a quarter mile of the border, also likes the idea.

Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, is crafting a measure to ask voters next year to spend the money to erect a climb-proof fence wherever possible from Yuma to east of Douglas.

The idea got a chilly reception from Cochise County Supervisor Paul Newman whose district includes a large stretch of border land -- including Ladd's property. He said it would be a waste of state money, as federal officials have plans to build their own fence.
Newman said a fence will "resolve nothing," saying the real solution is a good guest worker program
.

Here's some info on Newman that I wrote back in February:

Newman, What Are You Smoking Now?

Paul Newman, a supervisor of Cochise County, Arizona is more concerned about the activities of US citizens than he is about illegals. Sierra Vista Herald article has the details.

What's the matter Paul, afraid your marijuana shipment might be delayed? Folks, this is one reason why we have such major border problems. Too many of our "representatives" have no respect for the law and think they do not have to abide by or enforce that with which they do not agree.

Newman is an out of touch, loose cannon and a disgrace to Cochise County. Hopefully that will be fixed next election.

Also, I happen to know the rancher, Bud Strom, who spent three decades in the US Army before retiring as a brigadier general. I suspect his opinion has a lot more value than Newman's. You have only to meet Bud once and you respect him forever.

If the Federal government will not protect our property, liberty and lives then we must look to other means.

The Bigoted View Of The ACLU

The ACLU consistently advocates, not what is in the best interest of our nation, but what will further their atheistic, socialist agenda. It is an attempt to destroy the American way of life from within. By cloaking itself in altruism, it seduces and manipulates young idealists and adds to them a sprinkling of anarchists, a healthy dose of socialists and a rich assortment of anti -social psychotics and dropouts. Whether it's spiritual, psychological or physical the ACLU is sure to defend, espouse and promote the societal aberrations most abhorrent to the majority of Americans and those that will leave our country decadent and most vulnerable.

All the while, the ACLU would have you believe it has no agenda, that it is completely nonpartisan and free from bias. It claims it exists to protect all our freedoms when in truth our liberties need protection from the ACLU.

And now, from the mouth of one of their own directors spews the prejudice and bigotry of the ACLU. Unable to contain or disguise his hatred of those who worship God, he compares them to terrorists who murder and destroy.

When you are finished reading, go to
Stop the ACLU and join the fight. Do not allow the ACLU to continue its suppression of the free expression of religion in America.

The director of the Louisiana ACLU compared the mindset of school prayer supporters in Tangipahoa Parish to that of the 9-11 terrorists in comments to Eyewitness News Monday.

Joe Cook, the ACLU director, made his comments when asked about classes being held in Tangipahoa Parish Monday as school system officials tried to explain to teachers and administrators what can and can’t be done as far as prayers in the school room.

The ACLU director, who has made legal moves against the Tangipahoa Parish school board following some incidents of prayers being said over loudspeakers and in classrooms, said the system has done little to enforce a judge’s rulings.

“They don’t want to abide by the agreement,” said Cook. “They have always crossed the line of separation of church and government… They believe they answer to a higher power, in my opinion… which is the kind of thinking you had with the people who flew airplanes in the buildings in this country and people who did that kind of thing in London.”

Cook defended his statement, saying that it’s dangerous to have people who believe they, “answer to some higher religious power than the Constitution of the United States of America.”

As much as it must pain your wizened, evil soul, Joe Cook , the Constitution is there to protect those very people from bigots like you. May God bless, America.

Hypocrites Head For The Border

PHOENIX - Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano declared an emergency Monday in four border counties because of problems related to illegal immigration and moved to provide local governments in those counties with up to $1.5 million in state funding. Napolitano's order said failure by the federal government to secure the border allowed a flood of illegal immigration that threatened public health and safety, "thereby necessitating immediate action by the state ... to aid its border counties."

Napolitano's order directly released $200,000 from the state's emergency fund for disasters while her emergency council released an additional $1.3 million, spokeswoman Jeanine L'Ecuyer said. The money is intended for use by counties and municipalities for a variety of purposes, including overtime pay for law enforcement officers, repairs of border fences, costs related to illegal immigrants' deaths, L'Ecuyer said.

Napolitano's action followed by three days a similar declaration by New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.

Once again I will ask where is the National Guard. Two democrat governors have now declared a state of emergency but will not supply troops to protect us. Why?
Because they are using this as a political issue and couldn't give a tinker's damn about the citizens.
This is a new tactic started by none other than the queen of deceit, Hillary, who is calling for high tech border enforcement but pandering to illegals by offering their children tuition breaks and possible amnesty. Richardson and Napolitano have tried to block every attempt by the voters and the state legislators to stem the tide of illegal immigration. This is an attempt by the democrats to show on one hand that they are concerned about the tragedy on our borders while with the other beckoning for more illegals to come here. Democrats are the masters of duplicity.

Out, Out Damned Spot

In his book "Off With Their Heads", Dick Morris writes of Clinton, "it may well be his failure to fight terrorism that will dominate his legacy."

Clinton's foreign policy was run by Warren Christopher, Tony Lake, and baggy pants Berger. What was Sandy stuffing down his trousers? More than likely something damaging to the infamous whoring reputation sleaze bag Bill would like to turn into a legacy.

As Morris points out, by Clinton's second term, he was so disgraced by scandal, Monica, perjury and impeachment, Clinton "lacked the political and moral authority to stand up to international terror."

But Bill wants a real legacy so badly he is desperate to rewrite the truth. Lie often and long enough and maybe the people will buy it. The man is devoid of integrity and a stain upon our presidential history, worse than any stain on Lewinsky's dress.

Ex-president Bill Clinton now says he would have taken out Osama bin Laden before the 9/11 attacks – if only the FBI and CIA had been able to prove the al-Qaida mastermind was behind the attack on the U.S.S. Cole.

"I desperately wish that I had been president when the FBI and CIA finally confirmed, officially, that bin Laden was responsible for the attack on the U.S.S. Cole," Clinton tells New York magazine this week. "Then we could have launched an attack on Afghanistan early." "I don’t know if it would have prevented 9/11," he added. "But it certainly would have complicated it.”

We're Closed

I have business to take care of that will probably keep me from blogging for the next few days. I will be back at the keyboard as soon as I can, Lord willing and the creek don't rise (Where I live that's a real possibility). Hopefully this brief hiatus will renew my vigor. I look forward to chatting with you all very soon again.

Guess Who's Quoting The ACLU?

The Pentagon is trying to block the release of new video evidence of prisoner abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison, arguing that they would incite public opinion in the Muslim world, according to documents unsealed in federal court in New York.

According to ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero, the real reason the Pentagon is trying to stop the release of the new video and photos is because it demonstrates "the failure of American leaders who placed our young men and women in compromising situations and are now seeking to blame them for it."

The preceeding is a quote from an article at Aljazeera.com.

The ACLU is feeding the frenzy of the Islamic maniacs by its undisciplined presumption. Knowing full well that if these images are made public, there will be more rioting and attacks the ACLU continues to press for their release. There is no reasonable doubt that making the video public will not only assist the muslim terrorists in recruitment but will also endanger the lives of our military and civilian personnel throughout the muslim world and beyond.

If anyone is guilty of trying to place our young men and women in harm's way it is the craven confederacy of the ACLU.

Do not point your accusing finger at our military leaders, Mr. Romero, we have met the enemy and it is you.

Tell Off The ACLU

The following is from WorldNetDaily:

A Chicago man has launched a website to mobilize millions of Americans to consign the American Civil Liberties Union to the "ash heap of history."

Nedd Kareiva says his two main goals are to send 1 million letters to the ACLU's headquarters in New York and to coordinate a march of 1 million Americans at each ACLU office in the nation.

Kareiva told WorldNetDaily in an e-mail that while there are public-interest law groups such as the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defense Fund standing up to the ACLU in court, citizens can do little apart from making financial contributions.

"In this past election," he says on his website, "the ACLU and its activist allies were sent a clear message not to tamper with the institution of marriage" with the passage of 11 out of 11 amendments defending traditional marriage.

But that didn't matter to the ACLU, Kareiva says, as litigation already is challenging measures passed in Georgia and Oklahoma.

"The ACLU wants same-sex marriage imposed upon America through radical activist judges," he says.

Do you want to help stop the ACLU? It's easy to assist and little is required. To get the whole story go to Stop the ACLU and read the details. Thanks.

State Of Emergency Declared By New Mexico's Governor

Why doesn't Bill Richardson call out the National Guard? Why does he say he's been reluctant to take steps to protect his fellow citizens? What spirit of understanding and cooperation are the Mexicans referring to? Is it that they ship their drugs and unwanted citizens over here and we get to grin and bear it? Those days are about to be over, muchachos. When an Hispanic, democrat governor has to call a state of emergency because things are so bad at the border of his state you can bet things are about to heat up.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson declared a state of emergency Friday in four counties along the Mexican border that he said have been "devastated" by crimes such as the smuggling of drugs and illegal immigrants.

The declaration said the region "has been devastated by the ravages and terror of human smuggling, drug smuggling, kidnapping, murder, destruction of property and the death of livestock.

The Mexican government issued a statement in which it acknowledged the problems along the border, but said it continues to make consistent efforts to target them along with U.S. authorities.

It said some of Richardson's views stem from "generalizations that do not correspond to the spirit of cooperation and understanding that are required for dealing with problems of common concern along the border."

"My people on my side asked me to take this step, and I've done so reluctantly," Richardson told CNN. "As governor, I have to protect the people I represent."

He noted he is the nation's only Hispanic governor, and "we're a state that's been very good to legal migrants. ... This action, I believe, had to be taken."

Kolbe's Town Beating

This town meeting took place about 20 miles from where I live. Talking to Kolbe is a waste of time because he just doesn't get it. He talks about failed government policies but he's been a representative in the House for the last twenty years. I'd say you own a large portion of that failure Jimbo and you deserve to be fired come next election.

Kolbe's hooked up with Kennedy in the past to promote gay agenda items and now they're dancing together again. This time, along with John McCain they are pushing legislation that will give the equivalent of amnesty to millions of illegals. That's Kolbe's plan to secure our borders and protect our nation. What do you expect, the guy can't secure his own house.

SIERRA VISTA - If members of America's National Guard and reserves can be in Iraq, they can be on the southern border of the United States protecting the country from the growing flow of illegal immigrants, people told a congressman on Monday.
If there was one message that came out of U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe's town hall meeting, it was the continuing anger local people perceive about the lack of control along the border. The illegal immigration issue took up most of the 90 minute meeting.

Kolbe responded there have been actions taken to "harden the border," limiting access of people who cross the international boundary illegally. But the congressman admitted that places like Cochise County are still bearing the brunt of failed polices of the government that forced funneled illegal immigrants to use Arizona as an avenue north.

The Twilight Come And We Put You In Home

Poor old Harry just keeps getting in deeper. Why these leftwing celebrities choose to open their mouths thereby ending all doubt of their ignorance and stupidity is a mystery.

Belafonte has managed to further insult the Jews, get rebuked by the author of the book he used to support his claims and ended by saying I am not a bigot because some of my best friends are (his wife in this case) Jewish. Harry, it's time to take de "money and run Venezuela".

I encourage you to read the whole article, so you can see why the man from the banana boat no longer has appeal. Sorry!

Entertainer/activist Harry Belafonte has retracted some of the controversial comments he made at a civil rights march in Atlanta regarding Jews working for Hitler, but his retraction may have created even more controversy for the singer.

During an interview with Cybercast News Service at the Aug. 7 march, Belafonte asserted that Adolf Hitler's regime in Germany included Jews and that blacks working in the Bush administration should be compared to Jews working for Hitler.

On Thursday, Wyman Institute Director Rafael Medoff responded to Belafonte's assertion that the Jewish people claim "a high and pure morality." Medoff said Belafonte's new statement "smacks of bigotry," and he called on Belafonte "to retract and apologize for his remarks." "Hitler and his regime murdered six million Jews and launched a world war that caused more than 40 million deaths. How can that be compared to current U.S. government policy?" Medoff asked.

Belafonte used a 2002 book entitled "Hitler's Jewish Soldiers" to back his claim that Jews were involved in the Third Reich. "Jews did have a role, some did, in the demise and brutal treatment of the Jewish people," Belafonte told the Jerusalem Post. "Was it rampant? Absolutely not," Belafonte told the Post. "But these things happen, and people are not exempt from their behavior," he added. "Let's not be dishonest about all of us. The more we know the truth, the better we'll be [at] improving humanity," he said.

But the book's author, Bryan Mark Rigg, repudiated Belafonte's attempt to use his book as the basis for his controversial statements. "Belafonte continues to distort history," he said. Belafonte should take the trouble to read the books he cites before claiming they support him. My book doesn't support him," Rigg added.

Noting that his wife is of Russian-Jewish heritage, he has visited Israel and he does "the best version" of "Hava Nagila," Belafonte said: "I've always been supportive of the right of Israel as a state, and I've always fought against anti-Semitism, even in my own community."

ACLU Defenders Of Druidism

The ACLU has picked a fight with the law in South Carolina. Why? They feel druids are being persecuted. And who said they're bogging down our legal system with frivolous lawsuits?

Why are we wasting time and money trying to find a loophole in the justice system for someone driving with a suspended license, improper plates and no proof of insurance?
Why does this loser's right to be a scofflaw takes greater priority than the property rights of countless Americans just trampled on by the supreme court? How does the traffic citation of a "druid" become more important than the right to demonstrate against abortion mills? Ask the ACLU.

This is the stuff of which the ACLU is made. I am positive if this "druid" claimed he was pulled over because he had an "abortion is murder" bumpersticker on his car, the ACLU would not be involved.

What we have here is a cause celebre for the ACLU, a rallying point for every nut case on the societal fringe. Who in the name of all that's holy, takes someone calling themselves a druid seriously and cares enough to persecute them? Yet, the ACLU smells police conspiracy and a threat to the very fabric of freedom. Please!

Help us stop the confederacy of lunatics known as the ACLU. Please visit Stop the ACLU today.

The American Civil Liberties Union is demanding that the city of Greer drop all charges and apologize to a Greer couple who claim they were targeted by police because of a religious bumper sticker.Tony and D.J. Gainey said police pulled the couple over in May because of the bumper stickers on their car.One of the stickers read, "It's a druid thing."The Gaineys said they believe in druidism -- a nature-focused religion.Reserve Officer Tony Stewart and Officer Gilbert Lozada cited Tony Gainey for driving with a suspended license, not having proper license plates or proof of insurance.Gainey said he's convinced he would not have been pulled over if it weren't for the bumper sticker."I shouldn't been driving. I am guilty of that, but the stop never would have taken place if they wouldn't have violated our rights," said Gainey. In a letter to the Greer Police Department, the Piedmont Chapter of the ACLU demanded that all charges be dropped against the Gaineys.Greer City Attorney John Duggan said the officers involved in the traffic stop did nothing wrong."In my 25 years as a prosecutor I've handled -- I don't know how many cases -- where the stop started when the officer called in a routine check of a tag. The bumper sticker had nothing to do with the reason for the stop," said Duggan.Greer police have since suspended the reserve officer program and Officer Lozada no longer works for the department."I can say it didn't have anything to do with this case, " said Duggan.Greer police have since suspended the reserve officer program and Officer Lozada no longer works for the department."I can say it didn't have anything to do with this case, " said Duggan. The ACLU said it's not so sure. "Seems like too much of a coincidence that two officers who stopped the Gaineys are gone. Something happened here that wasn't right," said Mike Cubelo, a spokesman for the ACLU Piedmont Chapter. The Gaineys are scheduled to appear in traffic court next week.Tony Gainey said he's sure justice will prevail."I feel that good things will come out of this," he said.

Latte Of The Looney Left

"Starbucks has a corporate policy of supporting the homosexual agenda by sponsoring "Pride" events all over the country -- events where children will be exposed to sexually explicit materials and pedophiles as well as the extremely liberal and pro-abortion Planned Parenthood. This might be a good time to add that the owner of Starbucks made a large donation to a liberal candidate's campaign."

America, Betrayed

Jon Huntsman, Jr., the Republican governor of Utah, apparently does not care about and/or understand the US Constitution. Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution specifies: “No State shall enter into any treaty, alliance or confederation.”

Yet, Huntsman continues to woo Mexican president Fox with statements like, “We all need to pull together as nation-states,” during his recent trip to Mexico. He made repeated references to an "alliance" with Mexico and planned to have Fox visit Utah to sign an agreement.
Huntsman has led Utah into enacting "privilege cards" for illegals to aid them in continuing to violate the law. Of Course, he was thanked by the Mexican Fox. Vicente is probably giving Jon lessons in corrupt government 101 as thanks for his cooperation in undermining our immigration laws.

Huntsman is chairman and CEO of Huntsman Family Holdings, which counts among its holdings the world's largest privately held petrochemical company. He is the eldest son of Jon Huntsman Sr., a billionaire industrialist. I guess illegals are really good for the Huntsman business and we Americans should just suck it up.

It is a sad thing to see our elected officials selling out our nation with impunity. The voters must hold these enemies of the state, Republicans and Democrats, accountable for their actions.

Bozo vs Dennis The Menace

This is a letter to a local paper by an associate professor at a university. Is it any wonder that we are graduating students who have a distorted image of reality, lack logical reasoning skills and suffer from an underdeveloped perverted sense of humor?
This is what multicultural madness buys you. God help us!

Shame on The Blade for running the appalling July 28 "Dennis The Menace" cartoon, which was incredibly insensitive to all Native Americans. The cartoon depicts the Mitchell family in the Southwest visiting a "Navajo Ruins."
Dennis is standing on a lower wall of the ruins while lassoing a higher portion. His mother states, "We should be thankful they were in ruins before he got here." Despite clearly being aware of their child's destructive intent, Dennis' parents totally disregard his outrageous (and illegal) behavior and the serious physical damage he can cause to ancient and irreplaceable Native American sites - a legacy to be enjoyed by future generations.
This cartoon, so disrespectful of Native Americans and their rich heritage, has no rightful place in our multicultural society.

Another Reason To Stop The ACLU

I ran across this while I was reading an article in the El Paso Times, "ACLU seeks volunteers to keep an eye on Minutemen project" (Minutemen are planning to patrol the southern borders of New Mexico and Texas.)

In it, the ACLU coordinator, Claudia Guevara says the ACLU presence is to prevent abuses against migrants (can you say, illegals) and shed light on border conditions that lead to migrant (can you say, criminals) deaths.

Well, Claudia, perhaps the ACLU could begin a program to protect American citizens from abuses by illegals and shed light on border conditions that lead to deaths of Americans.

The following article,in the same paper, is about the ruthless murder of an American citizen by an illegal from Honduras. Will there be any outcry from the ACLU? Of course not, it's only another dead American. However, watch them all flock to the jail and trial to make sure no one looks crooked at the killer, Erminio Oliva. The poor "migrant" couldn't find enough victims in Honduras, so he was forced to come north.

In closing, I must point out that the paper also had an insert on how to join the ACLU but none on how to join the Minutemen.

Here is a link to the Minuteman HQ.

LAS CRUCES -- Doña Ana County Sheriff's investigators charged a Honduran man late Friday with the murder of a woman whose body was found Thursday in Mesquite.

Erminio Oliva, 33, of Honduras, is charged with an open count of murder and is being held at the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond, said Doña Ana County Sheriff's Investigator John Ordoñez. Even if Oliva were to post bond, he would not be released because he is in the United States illegally and the U.S. Border Patrol has placed a hold on his release, Ordoñez said.

Ordoñez also identified the victim as Gail M. Williams, 53, of Las Cruces.

Her autopsy began Friday morning in Albuquerque, but is not yet complete.

"It was a violent, brutal crime," said Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Perea.

Ordoñez called her injuries "graphic." He and Perea would not release further details.

After being questioned throughout much of Friday, Oliva confessed to the crime and was arrested about 8 p.m., Ordoñez said.

Williams leaves behind a husband, Mark A. Williams, 61, whom Ordoñez said is "not taking it very well" and suffers from health problems.

Oliva was an "acquaintance" of Williams, Ordoñez said. Perea said Oliva used to live with Williams and her husband.

Williams' nude body was found Thursday near the solid waste transfer station in Mesquite, south of Las Cruces. Her body was discovered by a passerby who called 911 about 11:30 a.m.

From the El Paso Times.

Here are a few more articles you will find in the very same paper.

Mexican man allegedly broke court windows.
A man had a short walk to jail after he was caught allegedly breaking a pair of $7,000 windows at the El Paso County Courthouse, county officials said.

Ernesto Ramos Gonzalez, 39, of Mexico, was spotted Tuesday night by a county detention officer when he threw rocks through windows of the district clerk's office, which is on the ground floor across the street from the county jail.

Pickup rams police car and is stopped in Juárez
A pickup rammed an El Paso police car, tried to run down an auto theft officer and escaped into Mexico, where the driver was arrested by Juárez police after a wild chase about 11:30 a.m. Friday near the Bridge of the Americas.

This is all in one day, in one paper. So, I ask again, where is the ACLU ? Why are they not monitoring the border for the right reasons. We don't need protection from the Minutemen we need protection from the illegal criminals invading our homeland. Obviously, the ACLU isn't about Americans who are law abiding citizens. It's about those who prey on those citizens, their lives and their property. Stop the ACLU, now!

DeLay Proposes Enforcing Our Laws

What a concept! Maybe we should start arresting lawbreakers! Has the lightbulb finally gone on?
Let's hope this is not just empty rhetoric but the beginning of citizens taking back the country.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay urged Texas police Thursday night to begin rounding up illegal immigrants, and said he backed legislation that would cut off federal funds to cities that don't enforce U.S. immigration laws.

Speaking to a gathering of Fort Bend County, Texas Republicans, DeLay said that if police rounded up illegals, the federal government would find places to house them.
In quotes picked up by the Houston Chronicle, the top Republican urged: "If you pick up 50 or 100 of them, you can call the National Guard."

As for housing, DeLay said: "Put them in tents."

Simple Decency Is Not The Message

(KRT) - Citing "simple decency," Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison demanded Friday that journalists quit poking around for details on Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' adopted children.

"Some boundaries should be placed on inquiries into the private lives of public figures," said Hutchison, who faced some uncomfortable questions after she adopted her son and daughter four years ago, when she was 58 and husband Ray Hutchison was 68.

With a month to go before Roberts' confirmation hearings, news media and interest groups continue to scour his record.

Some have also focused on other aspects of his life. On Thursday, the online Drudge Report revealed that a New York Times reporter had made inquiries about the Roberts children, Josephine and Jack, ages 5 and 4.

According to recent news reports, the judge and his wife, Jane, wed in 1996 when both were 41 and adopted the children in 2000.

Justice Happens

Every so often, life works out the way it should. Jim Kolbe, my representative, who keeps a cavalier attitude about the illegal invasion of our southern border has reaped a tiny harvest from the field of weeds he has sown.

I hope the authorities are on the look out for illegals dressed in $800 suits and aussieBum undies.

TUCSON - The home of U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe, R-Ariz., was broken into by a group of suspected illegal immigrants but little damage was done, authorities said.

Santa Cruz Sheriff Tony Estrada said a friend of Kolbe's reported the break-in on July 23 when he noticed one of the home's doors was wide open.

Sheriff's deputies, Border Patrol agents and Patagonia police responded to the home in Sonoita, which is 25 miles north of the Mexican border.

The culprits apparently showed little interest in items of value and left untouched a computer, television, and rifle. Instead, they appeared to have showered, prepared a meal in the microwave, and helped themselves to a change of the congressman's clothes.

The scene was consistent with similar cases involving migrant break-ins along the border, said Patagonia Assistant Police Chief Thomas Schenek.

"The only real items you see taken or gone through in cases like this are food and clothing," he said.

Was It Something We Didn't Say, Like Leave

You can't trust those liberals, they say one thing and do another. Their promises just aren't worth anything.

It's not too late, planes, trains and buses are still leaving, even as we speak. Do the right thing, keep your word. You have almost no credibility left as it is, don't add one more lie to the voluminous list you have amassed already.

Go now, Paul Martin and the Canadian left await.

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canadians can put away those extra welcome mats -- it seems Americans unhappy about the result of last November's presidential election have decided to stay at home after all.

In the days after President Bush won a second term, the number of U.S. citizens visiting Canada's main immigration Web site shot up sixfold, prompting speculation that unhappy Democrats would flock north.

But official statistics show the number of Americans actually applying to live permanently in Canada fell in the six months after the election.

And Nothing But The Truth, So Help Me Satan

I'm fascinated by this case in North Carolina, where the ACLU has filed suit against the state. The ACLU argues that making a witness swear on the Bible discriminates against their religion.

Now here's the part that intrigues me. Rather than trying to get the Bible removed from the court which would be the normal ACLU tactic, they want the Koran brought in. They want us to believe they are reasonable people.

Well, let's suppose a Christian is on trial and the witness against him is a Satanist. Will the Christian have the right to object to that testimony since the oath taken by the devil worshipper is objectionable to the Christian? Exactly what happens when some nut case decides he wants to swear on the satanic bible?
Will theologians become part of the defense ritual arguing over the validity of an oath sworn over pig entrails? What will atheists swear on, the ACLU manifesto? Will we subject our courtrooms to a steady stream of witches, druids, voodoo practioners and their unholy "holy" scriptures or will some common sense be allowed to rule? Don't count on it, it hasn't happened yet.

The ACLU has another purpose. If it means they are allowing the Bible to remain in the courtroom, they are up to something.

It may be that they are deliberately trying to cause confrontations among religions. It could also be that they are hoping to see bizarre "religious" antics in the courtroom so they can subject any and all spiritualism to ridicule. This will serve their plans better in the long haul, because in order for their atheistic, socialist agenda to succeed, they need to label devout Christians as Bible thumping Neanderthals and segregate them from the rest of society.

Keep watching to see how all of this turns out and eventually the ulterior motive of the ACLU will become apparent. In the meantime, to learn more, go to Stop the ACLU.

This Guy Knows How To Taiwan On

A Taiwanese man is breathing easier after a surgeon removed a missing set of dentures from one of his bronchial tubes - three years after he lost them in a fall.

Well, that had to be one heck of a spill. I've fallen a few times in my life but never swallowed my teeth and I think I'd have known if I did. What was he drinking?

Italy Bans The Burqa

Europe is finally starting to show some life over this terrorism threat. At home, we still have a confederacy of cretins, known as the ACLU, trying to block every attempt to protect our nation.
Well, hooray for Italy; the Muslim fundamentalist fashion designers will just have to become more creative with the gunny sack.

ITALY has banned Islamic burqas under tough terrorism laws that provide two-year jail terms and E2000 ($3200) fines for anyone caught covering their face in a public place.

The counter-terrorism package, passed by Italy's parliament yesterday, doubles the existing penalty for wearing a burqa or chador -- traditional robes worn by Muslim women to cover their faces -- or full-faced helmets or balaclavas in public.

Police can extract DNA samples without a suspect's consent, detain them for 24 hours without a lawyer present, and deport foreigners suspected of terrorism under the new legislation. Soldiers involved in counter-terrorism have been given the same stop-and-search powers.

Watch Out Napolitano, Step Back Kolbe

We're going to take back Arizona. Is there a name in Arizona better known than Goldwater? Napolitano has to go, she is an obstructionist when it comes to carrying out the will of the majority. Kolbe is just a panderer to illegals and gays and he has good reason to fear Graf.
Goldwater and Graf, I like the sound it.
Here's the good news.

Donald H. Goldwater met recently with his boss, Department of Administration Director Betsey Bayless, and informed her he was resigning effective July 29 — that he wanted to go on to something else after seven years with the agency.

The something else is a Republican candidacy for governor for the nephew of the late Arizona senator and political legend Barry Goldwater, Arizona Capitol Times confirmed July 26. He is scheduled to announce his candidacy at an 11 a.m. news conference Aug. 2 at the Sun City West Foundation Building.

Mr. Goldwater did not return numerous phone calls requesting an interview. He is the son of Bob Goldwater, Barry Goldwater’s brother, and served as special events manager DOA.

Darcy Olsen, president and CEO of the Goldwater Institute, which was named for the late senator and presidential candidate, said she hopes Mr. Goldwater is a chip off his uncle’s block.

“I love the Goldwater family, and if Don shares his uncle’s philosophy, he’d be a great governor for the people of Arizona,” she said.

Little is known publicly about Don Goldwater’s politics. He is said to be a Ronald Reagan conservative and recently endorsed conservative Republican and former legislator Randy Graf of Tucson for the U.S. House.

Master Of Mendacity, Teddy Kennedy

John Bolton's recess appointment to be UN ambassador is drawing predictable criticism from Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy.

The move is allowed by the Constitution but it will only last until January 2007. Other presidents, from Washington on, have made recess appointments but Kennedy calls the bypass of the Senate "a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent." Of course, exaggeration, distortion of the facts and outright lies have always been at the forefront of Teddy's oratorical tactics.

Teddy if you want to know what a devious maneuver really is review your actions back in Chappaquiddick in 1969. That was devious and designed to evade the law. Sober up, senator!

Pelosi Promoting Impeached Judge

Here's an example of "quality" in government as brought to you by the left wing donks. Pelosi is pushing this former judge who was removed from office by the US Senate. Why, do you think, does Pelosi wish to replace a democrat "moderate", Jane Harman, with Alcee Hastings from the Congressional Black Caucus?

Here's some information on Harman who, by the way, has never been impeached.
She has been a Democrat member of the House since 2001, representing the 36th District of California. She was was educated at Smith College and Harvard School of Law, and was a lawyer, a staff member for Senator John Tunney, adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, chief counsel and staff director for the US Senate Judiciary subcommittee on constitutional rights, deputy secretary to the Cabinet at the White House (1977 - 1978) and special counsel to the Department of Defense before entering the House.
She is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of conservative Congressional Democrats, one of the few members who is not from the Deep South.
I would say she is reasonably well credentialed. She did, however, recently jump on the "Let's get Karl Rove" bandwagon .
Asked about a letter she sent to the White House demanding that Rove's security clearance be suspended, Rep. Jane Harman first insisted she was certain that the top Bush aide's source was someone in the administration. After further questioning by FOX News' Brit Hume, it became "See Jane Run" from her statement.

Here's the info from NewsMax.

"There's an ugly fight brewing in the House among Democrats about the House Intelligence Committee, which may have larger implications about the Democrats and national security," Klein told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show." House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings, who was impeached as a federal judge in 1989, to be vice chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Time magazine's Joe Klein reported on Sunday.
"Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader, wants to dump Jane Harman, the ranking Democrat who is a moderate, and replace her with Alcee Hastings," Klein said.

Appointed to the bench by President Carter in 1979, Hastings was impeached and removed from office in 1989 on two counts, perjury and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

The Florida Democrat, an African-American, blamed "institutional racism" for the charges lodged against him.

Hastings was elected to the House in 1992.
