Tunnel Vision In Washington

According to the LA Times, Customs and Border Protection officials have reported that it will take about $2.7 million to fill the tunnels under our border that have been dug by Mexicans to illegally smuggle people and drugs into our country.

Not only is it a big job to fill these rat holes, but some of them run under the private property of US citizens.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif, lefty looney toon, thinks the border agency should find the money in its budget to plug these security risks. "The department should move, find money, and do it," Feinstein said. "This is a huge department with a huge budget. And if they don't have the money, they should tell us, and we will seek to get it in the emergency supplemental."

The question, Dianne, is why should the American taxpayer assume the cost to fix the vandalism inflicted by Mexican nationals? Why are we not giving the bill to the Mexican government or deducting the cost from the billions in aid we give them? Why is there no attempt to recoup the public and private financial loss of American citizens? When will someone in Washington take their oath seriously and, once again, protect and defend these United States?

Dirty Harry Reid Cleans Up In Arizona

Dirty Harry Reid seems to have been caught doing it again. Despite all the vows about honest government, he keeps getting involved in questionable practices. He doesn't seem to comprehend that if you are going to nominate yourself as the paragon of virtuous, good leadership, your actions must be beyond reproach.

Here now, the latest from the
LA Times. "It's hard to buy undeveloped land in booming northern Arizona for $166 an acre. But now-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid effectively did just that when a longtime friend decided to sell property owned by the employee pension fund that he controlled."

That's the opening, read the article for all the details. Those of you who persist in being mind controlled by the left will ignore it, the rest of us who are conservatives, or in some other way normal, will file it as Democrats "New Direction" material.

Milque-Toast Diplomacy

The Commander of the Arizona National Guard, Major General David Rataczak, will testify today before a homeland security committee of the state Legislature. He is expected to be questioned about the incident earlier this month when Guard troops fell back as armed men, wearing bulletproof vests, approached their post near the Mexican border. The Guard contacted the Border Patrol who were unable to locate the invaders.

"As I learn more about this, I am more alarmed about this situation," said Republican Representative Warde Nichols of Chandler, the committee chairman, who believes the troops should have captured the gunmen.

The National Guard seems to have done as it was instructed and therefore it is difficult to fault them. The real fault is with the Federal Government that uses the Guard for "show" and seems to think it is completely acceptable for armed incursions to occur along our border at regular intervals. Is no one appalled that gun toting foreigners are crossing into US territory as they wish and no one in Mexico is held to account for it? Where is the outcry from the media?

What pathetic Milque-toasts we have as "leaders". Teddy Roosevelt must be spinning in his grave.

We Get it, Kerry's the Joke

Did Kerry botch another joke or are we to take him seiously this time? Now, Kerry criticized what he called the "unfortunate habit" of Americans to see the world "exclusively through an American lens." Those of us who are "real" Americans would do that as opposed to the "gifted" like Kerry who can look through the lenses of Benedict Arnold, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong Il, Genghis Khan etc. etc. etc.

"When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto, when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa, when we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy," Kerry said. Well, who could fault kerry's expertise in duplicity and hypocrisy? Perhaps the Clinton's, but just about no one else.

Will someone, anyone shut up this arrogant pompous buffoon?

It's Just A Matter Of Time

While our politicians vie for the power not to protect our nation, the debacle at our borders continues unabated. By way of the Daily Bulletin comes this little piece that should keep us all from sleeping soundly tonight.

On September 5th, near Mexico, the Border Patrol apprehended a man calling himself Miguel Alfonso Salinas along with three other illegals. Nothing unusual until you find out that Salinas lied about who he was, where he came from and what he was doing. You see, Miguel Alfonso Salinas was actually Ayman Sulmane Kamal, an Egyptian Muslim.

This is not an isolated incident. According to the Border Patrol, in 2005 they apprehended approximately 1.2 million people in the U.S. illegally. That detail is staggering enough, but 165,000 were from countries other than Mexico, and roughly 650 were, from countries of "special interest", like Egypt.

The article also states, that DEA intelligence reports, the link between terrorism and narcotics has been well known since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. Yet, getting our politicians to address the danger is impossible because most of them won't even acknowledge what is happening along the U.S. border. The intrusions on American soil by the Mexican military is a perfect example.

Inept and ill-informed idiots, like
Silvestre Reyes (D-El Paso) head of the House Intelligence Committee, refuse to confront the issues or even allow themselves to become educated as to the dangers to America.

Read the entire article and if you are not deeply troubled and concerned, then you are part of America's problem.

Jimmy's Secret Solution

Well, the evidence of Jimmy Carter's anti-semitic attitude is starting to pile up. According to an article in WorldNetDaily, Monroe Freedman, the former executive director of the Holocaust Memorial Council, Carter once complained it consisted of "too many Jews." He also said a noted Holocaust scholar who was a Presbyterian Christian was rejected from the council's board by Carter's office because the scholar's name "sounded too Jewish."

Add to this the recent revelation by The New York Sun that Jimmy interceded on behalf of the Nazi prison guard, Martin Bartesch, and his recent anti-Israel book and Carter's motives start looking mighty suspect.

The chief Nazi hunter and director of the Jerusalem Office of the Simon Weisenthal Center, Efraim Zuroff, told the Sun that "Carter was never particularly sensitive on Jewish issues" and that the news of his appealing on behalf of a former Nazi "doesn't surprise" him. Mr. Zuroff described Mr. Carter's approach as "a classic case of misplaced sympathy syndrome."

That's about as nice as you can say it, but the truth is Carter seems to think there are "too many Jews," and seems to have a pattern of coming to the defense of those who would reduce their number.

Kerry Cuts Another Tour Short

On Wednesday John Kerry announced he would not bumble into the 2008 presidential race. Once again, changing his mind and attempting to cover up the truth he said he wanted to spend the next two years making up for the fact that he had voted the wrong way in 2002.

Still, on the Senate floor, in a moment of Kerry wistfulness reminiscent of his Cambodian Christmas fantasies, he said, "We came close, certainly close enough to try again." Choking back crocodile tears, he continued, "But I have concluded this isn't the time to mount a presidential campaign. We have to find a way to end this misguided war and bring our troops back home."

Of course dropping out had nothing to do with the fact that he can't compete with Hillary, Obama or even John Edwards. No, Kerry wants us to believe he is sacrificing for the greater good by staying in the Senate to remain a pimple on the butt of progress. If he really wanted to do America a favor, he'd do a "you won't have John Kerry to kick around anymore" speech and fade away for good.

Taste more of Kerry's waffle syrup at The Boston Globe.

Why Are They Smiling?

While George W. is laughing with the Democrats and proposing an amnesty that is not an amnesty because he won't call a spade a spade, the nation continues to be overrun by illegals. According to this article, more than 750 were arrested this weekend in metro LA alone. Despite the efforts to smear those who would protect this nation's sovereignty as racists, the truth will come out. These are not just Mexicans or other Hispanics; those arrested included illegals from India, the Ukraine, Japan and Poland.

AP went along on the raids and reports the arrest of a 29-year-old illegal immigrant wanted for a driving-under-the-influence conviction. The Feds are now looking for his brother, a registered sex offender. At another stop, the agents were looking for a convicted rapist and immigration fugitive. Instead, they arrested six men who could not provide legal papers and discovered that all six were illegal and four had criminal records. The rapist they were after had moved out the week before.

While Border Patrol agents are incarcerated in solitary confinement and drug smugglers are rewarded and set free, our president, our speaker of the house and the jackals that attend them both smile. I can only surmise they are so pleased with the success of their treachery, they cannot contain their delight. Other than that, with the Republic on the verge of destruction, what reason is there to smile?

Same Bombs, Different Target

There's really nothing out of the ordinary about this news from ynet. A bomb exploded in the Gaza strip, just another one of the islamomaniacs acts of insanity. This one was at the offices of the Saudi owned TV channel, al-Arabiya. It is believed the station was attacked because of a report aired last week in which the Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said, "Even if God sets conditions for us, we will reject this."

This, of course, was sufficient to justify death and destruction, a favorite pastime of both Hamas and Fatah the intellectual repositories of great Muslim thought and political action for the Palestinians.
According to the ynet article, Hamas supporters refer to al-Arabiya TV as 'al-Ibriya', meaning 'the Hebraic' in Arabic instead of 'the Arab', accusing the news channel of promoting American and Israeli interests in the Middle East. Oh, those clever Arab satirists, what will they come up with next?

Looters Are Only Scavengers

It's amazing how the media participates with the looney liberals in trying to make lawbreaking seem like a trivial matter. There's always the illegal aliens becoming undocumented workers, but now they have transformed looters into scavengers.

Describing the outright theft of someone else's property, CNN has called the thieving vermin, scavengers, making light of the fact that they are robbing innocent people. Go here and read it for yourself. I long for the days when we used to shoot the kind of scum that take advantage of someone else's disaster.

Clinton II: The Other Side (2008)

THEY'RE BACK

Warning! This news is not for the faint of heart. Virtually the whole cast will be back for this sequel which will feature the return of corruption, conspiracy and criminal mayhem to the White House.

Hillary has announced her evil desires to replace Bill as the star anti-hero of the Democrat party. "I'm in. And I'm in to win," cackled Clinton.

If she wins, we lose. Although the way it's beginning to pan out, no matter who wins, America loses.

Loco Legislator Targets Minutemen

Here in Arizona, one of our resident illegal loving, leftwingers, Kyrsten Sinema, Democrat from Phoenix, has intoduce HB 2286 in the Arizona House. This bill is designed to target groups like the Minutemen and label them as domestic terrorists punishable by mandatory jail sentences.

Sinema, a former Green Party member, is a radical liberal of the worst kind. She has stated that women and moms who stay at home and don't work are dependent on men and "leeching off their husbands."She has called conservatives "Neanderthals" and has advocated public financing of campaigns to remove "overweight white men" in favor of candidates "more like myself, individuals of an oppressed minority." Kyrsten is bisexual and I guess she feels that qualifies her as a victim of society.

This is the same malicious moron that issued a press release accusing Sean Hannity of entering the US illegally. She was wrong about that, just as she is wrong about most everything else. It is bad enough that our government seems unconcerned about securing our borders from real and imminent terrorism, but to have a pernicious loose cannon like Sinema acting as a distraction and wasting precious time and resources is truly intolerable.

Say Goodnight Fritz

We just get through listening to the bigoted babblings of Jimmy Carter and along comes his veep Walter Mondale. Fritz is bad mouthing Dick Cheney's tactics and advice to the president.

Who is Mondale to criticize anyone? In 1984 this guy took the worst whuppin' of any Democrat presifential candidate, winning only the District of Columbia and his home state of Minnesota and that by only 3761 votes. He was rejected by a landslide vote.

Fritz is quoted as saying, "If I had done as vice president what this vice president has done, Carter would have thrown me out of there." Can you imagine fearing being thrown out of an office by a man who was terrorized by a bunny?

Mondale and Carter are like a third rate vaudeville comedy duo trying to have one last hurrah before they go to Forest lawn for their final act. Someone get the hook and pull these pathetic politicians off the world stage.

Jimmy Now Working For Habitat For Hamas

Jimmy Carter is at it again. The "help I'm talking and I can't shut" up former president and friend of tyrants and terrorists is using his favorite forum Al-Jazeera once again. This time he has declared that he does not consider Palestinian missile attacks on Israeli civilians to be terrorism. If only Jimmy were on the receiving end, then he could tell us if he felt terror as the rockets fell indiscriminately.

Jimmy is trying to defend his book of bigotry and lies and in doing so will say just about anything. Here's one quote, "I don't consider... I wasn't equating the Palestinian missiles with terrorism, but when the Palestinians commit terrorist acts, and I mean when a person blows himself up within a bus full of civilians, or when the target of the operation is women and children – such acts create a rejection of the Palestinians among those who care about them."

See Jimmy is concerned not about the immorality and inhumanity of such acts, but only how the Palestinians will be perceived by the world for them. His main issue with the targeting of the innocent is how it may make the killers less marketable.

In his Al-Jazeera propaganda piece, Carter accused Jewish American organizations for the criticism of his "work". He blames the Jews despite the resignation of fourteen members of the Carter Center advisory board who stated in their letter , "It seems that you have turned to a world of advocacy, including even malicious advocacy," and because of this the advisers "can no longer endorse your strident and uncompromising position".

Historian Ken Stein, a senior Carter Center adviser, resigned a month ago and said the Carter book is "replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions, and simply invented segments."

If Jimmy keeps it up, Robert Byrd may invite him over to play dress up.

Hillary Reveals Obama's Muslim Roots

The Clinton machine has fired a salvo at Obama and it's a beauty. They have discovered that Barack was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia and attended a Madrassa there for four years. When contacted by Insight magazine, where this story was featured, Obama’s press secretary said he would consult with “his boss” and call back. He has not.

This information has major repercussions for Obama, not just because of the radical teaching (the Wahhabi doctrine) found in Indonesian Muslim schools, but because of the deception by Barack in not being more open and up front about this part of his life. Hillary will use this information for everything it's worth.

These next two years should be very entertaining!

It's Snow Use

You have to really enjoy the exchanges between WorldNetDaily and the White House. This morning, WND tells us that Bush believes assurances from Abbas that his Fatah followers will not use their US supplied weapons against Israel.

Following up on a reader submitted question, "Why do we continue to give aid to un-civilized people? When will we discern these people do not want peace but to wipe the State of Israel off the map and continually fire their rockets into Israel and smuggle arms from Eygpt thru tunnels often as they can get away with it…" WND questioned Tony Snow.

Here's part of what Snow said to WorldNet. "Prime Minister Abbas has made it clear and guarantees what we think are sufficient and clear that it is his desire to try to be able to negotiate with Israel effectively toward a two-state solution. And as you know, the United Nations right now is providing humanitarian aid that is supposed to be used, and is guaranteed to be used by audits and other follow-ups strictly for humanitarian purposes. That's how we would expect this aid to be spent,"

Now, if Snow and worse yet, the president, believe Abbas or that Abbas has control and if they also believe assurances from the UN then there is a special place for them in the cretins' hall of fame. Abbas is your typical duplicitous Middle East Arab leader who must talk out of both sides of his mouth just to remain alive or at the very least to stay in practice. The UN? Well, has anybody forgotten oil for food? The only thing you can count on the UN for is corruption, rape squads and more corruption.

The Snowman is melting under the heat of WND's interrogation lamp. Read the article.

Dennis the Menace To Decide What's Fair

Is there no end to the road signs of the Democrats' detour to damnation labeled as the "new direction"?

Now, Dennis the Menace Kucinich, will be be heading up a new House subcommittee which will focus on issues surrounding the FCC. At the National Conference for Media Reform last weekend, he said that the committee would be holding "hearings to push media reform right at the center of Washington.” Is this frightening enough for everyone? Understand that this Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the House Government Reform Committee (what a name) is going to focus on bringing back the "Fairness" Doctrine so the left can freely spew its swill that no one will pay to hear (reference Air America).

Kucinich said in his speech that "We know the media has become the servant of a very narrow corporate agenda" and added "we are now in a position to move a progressive agenda to where it is visible." Read progressive as leftwing, socialist propaganda rammed down your throat, like it or not.

Beware the crazy congressman from Ohio who plans to run for the presidency again in 2008 for he is beloved by the criminally insane ward of the Democrat asylum. This is the guy who wants to create a cabinet level Department of Peace and eliminate the Patriot Act among other lunatic legislation. Ah, the "new direction" into the land of madness.

Donks Detour South

Jan Schakowsky, Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee and Zoe Lofgren

More "new direction" is coming our way, this time its southerly. Zoe Lofgren, liberal pro illegal alien Democrat from California is taking over the House subcommittee on immigration.

This from The Boston Globe: "I like to believe that if everybody can lower their voice, just stop yelling and go through the issues one by one, that we can come to consensus," said Lofgren, whose subcommittee will serve as a starting point for the immigration debate. "I have this hope that we can produce a practical and bipartisan bill that gets broad support." Translation, get ready for amnesty and the complete destruction of American sovereignty.

Lofgren serves on the Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing, and Terrorism Risk Assessment as well as the Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims. In her previous life before politics she was an immigration lawyer. No wonder we can't secure the borders.

Yes, the "new direction" is to the south both literally and figuratively, as we are assimilated by Mexico and sent straight to third world hell.

X Caught By Alert Saudi Sages

In a stunning display of Islamic intellectualism, the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Saudi Arabia has condemned the letter "X".

Now, mind you, this group has has the ultimate say in all legal, civil and governance matters in the kingdom of the koranic kooks. They have issued a fatwa against the infidel letter consigning it to damnation along with Piglet, women who drive, Jews, the pope, prophet drawing cartoonists and Christians among others.

The letter's condemnation resulted from an inquiry about whether a Saudi businessman could be granted trademark protection for a new service with the English name "Explorer.” Fortunately the alert Saudi guardians of muslim moronity seized upon the suspicious looking letter and revealed its pathetic attempt to disguise itself. They exposed it for what it is, a cross!

Web sites are already speculating that the plus sign may be next and I wouldn't put it past these clever clerics to soon be looking very hard at the letter "T".

Remember,it was only in 1974 that this commission issued a fatwa declaring that the Earth is flat.

I wonder how Malcolm X would have felt about this?

Thanks, NewsMax.

Choudary Continues Inciting The Insane

Anjem Choudary seems to be at it again. Known as one of Britain's most extreme muslim preachers, he is now suspected of using a fake name on a secret jihadist website so he can rally islamomaniacs to do "holy" war in Somalia.

Contacted by The Sunday Times, Choudary refused to confirm whether he was using the alias Abou Luqman or if he knew of the website.

This insane islamic cleric, who fills in for his banned from Britain Lebanese lunatic pal Omar Bakri Mohammed, has a history of fanatacism that makes one wonder why he is still alive, never mind on the loose. He was never even been prosecuted for his death threats against the pope, saying anyone who insulted Prophet Mohammed would be "subject to capital punishment". He also is quoted as saying, “The Pope needs to be careful in what he says because you only need to see what happened to Theo van Gogh and Salman Rushdie. People should be aware that certain punishments in Islam are justified for certain actions.”

If this psycho preacher is proven to be spreading his creed of hate and violence once again, it's time for Britain to give him the boot if they haven't the stomach for giving him what he deseves. As he, himself, said, justified punishment for certain actions.

Patrick Mercer, Tory spokesman for homeland security, put it well: “Choudary must be closed down. It’s appalling that the Home Office has not done anything against this man so far.”

Blame Game At The Border

Here we go, again. A Border Patrol agent shot and killed a male Mexican on the US side of the border, not far from Naco, Arizona. The shooting happened on Friday and the Sheriff's Office said it began as a rock-throwing incident. I think it is safe to say it was not the agent throwing the rocks.

"The officer was in fear of his life and took the actions he deemed appropriate," Lt. Commander Mark Dannels said.

Yet, the Foreign Relations Department of Mexico condemned the shooting on Saturday saying "The department expresses its profound concern over this kind of disproportionate violence that results in the loss of human lives. Above all, when force is used against people who do not represent a threat to United States authorities.

How do they know if a threat existed or not? Have they done an investigation and even if they had who are they to determine what our law enforcement considers a threat and the reasonable and justifiable use of force? Would they allow us to determine that for Mexican authorities, not bloody likely! So here we go again with the Mexicans applying their double standard to international relations. The blame game behavior is typical for dysfunctional nations as well as individuals.

Juan Williams Has Had Enough

There's a really good piece at the Dallas Morning News with Juan Williams discussing his book, "Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America – And What We Can Do About It".

Although, I do not always agree with Williams, he is a reasonable man who argues more from fact than emotion. I plan to buy and read his book which takes people like the "reverends" Jackson and Sharpton to task for failing the legacy of Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement.

Here's a sample from the interview:

All of these accomplishments! All this kind of stuff goes on, and yet you don't see them celebrating, and pointing out to young black people the examples of successful black people in America. It's as if anyone like a Condoleezza Rice, a Colin Powell, an Alphonso Jackson – all of that is like: "Oh, well, they're mainstream, they're Republican, there's something wrong with them. They're inauthentic because they're successful."

It's just shocking once you step back and look at it. And yet, this whole pig is swallowed by the American media on a daily basis.

Read the article, then you, too, may want to read the book. There's more about it here.

Sorry, Nancy

There's more fishy happenings with Pelosi's "new direction" for ethical purity and open honesty.

The House voted to raise the minimum wage
from $5.15 to $7.25 by 2009. Guess what? The bill includes employers in the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands, but exempts American Samoa, another Pacific island territory. Why do you think that is? Could it be because Samoa is the site of DelMonte Corporation's StarKist Tuna packing plant and Del Monte is headquartered in Pelosi’s San Francisco congressional district. Also, about 75 percent of Del Monte stock is owned by shareholders of the H.J. Heinz Company, whose heirs include Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of John "I was in Vietnam" Kerry.

Of course there's no connection according to Pelosi. Sorry Nancy, we don't believe you.
Thanks, NewsMax.

Cleaning House With A Dirty Mop

In this interesting "new direction" the Democrats are taking us, you know the ethical, open and honest one, here's another of their interesting selections. Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-W.Va.) was chosen to head the House Appropriations Committee's subcommittee for Science, State, Justice, Commerce and Related Agencies, which oversees the Department of Justice, including the FBI. The problem with this is he is under investigation by the FBI.

The Donks think everything is ok because Mollohan has promised to recuse himself from budget matters involving the Bureau, the Justice Department and the Attorney General while he is under investigation. Still, he has influence over the Justice Department in other ways and this is clearly a conflict of interest and another interesting pothole in the Democrats' "new direction" road.

Back in February, The National Legal and Policy Center
(NLPC) filed a 500-page Complaint on with the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia detailing hundreds of ethics law violations by Mollohan. According to their press release (link given previously), for the period 1996 through 2004, NLPC found that the Financial Disclosure Reports:

1. repeatedly failed to disclose real estate assets which public records showed were owned by Mollohan and his wife
.
2.repeatedly failed to disclose financial assets which public records showed were owned by Mollohan and his wife.
3. repeatedly failed to disclose major loans which were used in the acquisition of financial assets which were not being disclosed.
4. failed to disclose interests in companies which owned major assets.

5. grossly undervalued assets, giving purported valuations which were a small fraction of the assets’ true value.

Pelosi's picks continue to underwhelm.

Enough Of Nagin Is Enough

It didn't take long. The citizens of New Orleans are not happy with the man they put back into office just a short time ago.

Anderson Cooper's blog says that on Thursday people from all over New Orleans marched on City Hall and although Mayor Nagin tried to address them, they would not let him speak. The down side of this is I'm sure we missed a memorable quote. Read my post from May where I listed a few of his gems. It seems the crowd has taken Nagin's recent quote of "enough is enough" to heart and has applied it to his asinine rhetoric.

As I said in August, New Orleans reelected this inept, racist, loser so they deserve what they get. How many times do these people have to be hit in the head with a 2x4 before they say "OUCH"!?

Ellison Infiltrates Judiciary Committee

Guess who the Democrats have named to the House Judiciary Committee? Why it's the new Muslim representative from Minnesota, Keith Ellison.

The former Farrakhan fan said, "I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen's civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years." He also said this week he'd like to see a ban on racial profiling. If being associated with Farrakhan doesn't make you a racial profiler what does? Oh, that's right anti-semitism doesn't count.

Do you think Keith has a special agenda? I'll bet he does and being named to this committee is going to help him carry it out.

More Meaningless Maneuvering

According to CNSNEWS, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a massive homeland security bill Tuesday without holding hearings beforehand and some are worried that the Democrat's desire to look proactive may cause flawed policy. Really?

The question is why this many years after 9/11 is the government still trying to figure out what it needs to do to protect this nation. If there is a rush now it's politically motivated as the Donk's try to make themselves look security conscious before the 2008 election.

If there are flawed policies it is largely because of political pandering to the looney internal malcontents, foreign interests and any other party whose sensitivities may be offended by our taking strong action to protect the American people.

Implementing every recommendation of any government commission is just wrong, but so is waiting this long to address obvious security failings. When the National Guard is retreating from armed intrusions at our borders, there is something vastly wrong with our perception of what protecting this nation means.

Pelosi is using our vulnerability to play politics, but this is no different then what Bush and his cronies have done. The same manure as usual continues to stink up Washington, only the flys are different.

Air Strikes In Somalia

CNN reports that a U.S. AC-130 gunship attacked suspected al Qaeda targets in southern Somalia. Associated Press is now reporting new strikes have been launched. The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower had moved within striking distance of Somalia and its planes may be involved.

It seems like we could take some lessons from Ethiopia who haven't hesitated to take the fight to the islamomaniacs including al Qaeda. The Somali militant group, the Islamic Courts Union, has long been accused by the US of harboring suspects in the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. It's way past time for retribution. Let's pray the time has come at long last and these muslim murderers get to rendezvous with allah.

US Murder Suspect Finds A Friend In Canada

Why is it our neighbors find it absolutely ok for them to meddle in the internal affairs of the US, yet are super sensitive about anything they perceive as an American influence on their nation?

Now Canada is trying to get US assurance that an escaped American murder suspect will not face the death penalty if deported back to the US.

Timothy Wallace is wanted for the murder of his ex-wife and her boyfriend. The murders took place in Arkansas in 2005. He fled first to Mexico and then Canada. Back in October, during an Immigration and Refugee Board hearing in Canada, Paul Kyba, the adjudicator, said,''I do at this time order your exclusion from Canada. Canada is not to be a place of refuge for person's fleeing criminal charges in another country." Well, so much for that piece of Canadian drivel, just hand over the fugitive and mind your on business, eh.

One more good reason to secure both borders.

Run Away, Run Away

Here's a little more on that story about the routing of the National Guard in Arizona by what seems to have been armed aliens.

The Border Patrol is trying to determine who these men were and what they were doing. The Guard outpost in question sits on a hillside overlooking the border. The Washington Times reports that some agents believe the incursion may have been made to find out what the Guard troops would do if they were confronted by drug or alien smugglers. The paper quotes a veteran agent as saying, "I guess they got their answer. When in doubt, the troops will run."

That is so sad. According to the Times, earlier this year several Border Patrol agents said they had been assigned to guard National Guard personnel, given standing orders to be within five minutes of the troops deployed along the border. The agents, who referred to the assignment as "the nanny patrol," said most of the Guard troops are not allowed to carry loaded weapons, despite a significant increase in violence directed at Border Patrol agents during the past year.

The deployment of unarmed cooks and mechanics by the National Guard has done nothing to help secure our borders and protect us from terrorism. Bush and the rest of the government, both Republican and Democrat have made a mockery of the sovereignty of this nation. From the Guard all the way up to the President the response to the attcks on America seems to be running awy. Why are we worrying about Iraq, Iran and Korea when we cannot and will not defend our own homeland.

National Guard Attacked In Arizona

According to the Border Patrol, somewhere along the Mexican border between Nogales and Lukeville, Arizona, gunmen attacked a site manned by the National Guard on Wednesday night. The guardsmen were forced to retreat and later the gunmen apparently returned to Mexico.

Why is this not all over the news? Our armed forces were attacked on American soil by foreign forces and nothing is being said and no action is being taken. Are the American people not entitled to know that such hostile action has taken place? Why is such an outrage not being addressed? Everytime some illegal isn't treated like a visiting dignitary we hear from every leftwing lawbreaker lover both north and south of the border. But, when our country is attacked not a word of protest escapes the lips of the left.

How many years after 9/11 do we have to wait before the government takes the threat to America seriously?

Fairness For Fares

Some cabdrivers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are refusing to carry airport travelers. The reason is the drivers' religious beliefs. Many of theairport's taxis are driven by Somalis who believe their Muslim religion strictly forbids the transport of alcohol or dogs. This includes people with guide dogs. It says something about a religion that encourages you to discriminate against the blind.

A meeting of the Metropolitan Airports Commission's management and operations committee, officials have arrived at a potential solution. Drivers who refuse fares that are not life-threatening or where the pasenger is not intoxicated would have their airport licenses suspended. The first offense would result in a thirty day suspension and the second offense would be punished by two years. Personally, if it happens twice I think the suspension should be permanent with community service at the animal shelter. Let's hope the Commission sticks to its guns.

Trouble In Tijuana

Mexico is sending more than 3,000 soldiers and police to the northern border city of Tijuana to help fight drug trafficking and gang violence. Why is it when Mexico send troops to the border it's no problem, but when the US even mentions such an action it becomes provocation and militarization?

Tijuana is across the border from San Diego, California and is a major entry point for drugs into the US. It was home to over 300 killings in 2006. Back in October, I wrote about this den of iniquity where the mayor
believes that the majority of police officers in his city are, in some way, involved in illegal drug trafficking or organized crime.

When you have neighbors like this a fence makes good sense and so does securing the perimeter. Will the Democrats give us our fence and secure the borders now that they have the power? Don't hold your breath, but watch them try and blame the Republicans when the next terrorist act explodes upon the scene.

Illegals May Get Social Security

In case you haven't heard, the Social Security Administration has released a copy of the US/Mexico Toatalization Agreement. After continually refusing to do so, the government was forced to disclose its treachery because of lawsuits filed under the Freedom of Information Act by the TREA Senior Citizens League, a 1.2 million-member nonpartisan seniors advocacy group. This betrayal of American citizens could allow millions of illegal Mexican workers to siphon away billions of dollars from the U.S. Social Security Trust Fund, a fund by the government's own admission that is on shaky financial ground already. According to the Social Security Administration, the fund will begin paying out more than it is taking in by 2017, and will be exhausted by the year 2040.

If Bush approves the agreement, which would be done without a Congressional vote, either House of Congress would have 60 days to disapprove the agreement by voting to reject it. What are the odds Bush will sign it? And, better yet what are the odds a Democrat controlled House and Senate will reject it? Prepare to pay America!

So why is our government so eager to make the fund even less solvent? Why do American citizens have to sue to find out what the government is secretly trying to do with taxpayer money? This is not a national security issue, it is a national disgrace. No wonder there are conspiracy theories about a "North American Union."

The Nancy Boys' Gang

Here's the latest in the open, honest and ethical new government brought to you by the Donks. Check out the John Conyers' fiasco as posted on Texas Rainmaker.

Yes, the same John Conyers who wants to impeach the president admits to using “his official staffers to work on campaigns, babysit his children, and run personal errands.” This slimeball should impeach himself.

Best of all though, the House Ethics Committee gives him a free pass and the word from Nancy Pelosi is that this poster boy for Democrat integrity will remain Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. More "good government" on its way to you via the Nancy boys gang.
