However, if I removed you and I shouldn't have or if you were never on it and you want to be, please comment and I will be happy to rectify the situation. Thanks.
I am told the following is true, but I'm skeptical. Still, any and everything has become possible in our joke of a judicial system (especially if it involves the ninth circus court) and this makes for a funny story.
A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire, among other things. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.
The lawyer sued and won. In delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated, nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be "unacceptable fire" and was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires.
After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of arson. With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.
Lawyers, insurance companies, judges, what a recipe for legal mumbo jumbo.
The following is from FOXNews.
The body of a U.S. citizen kidnapped nearly three weeks ago has been found in Tijuana by police, who said he had been beaten, strangled, stripped naked and stashed in the trunk of a car.
Investigators said they found the remains of a seafood wholesaler who worked in Tijuana but lived in San Diego, on Friday morning.
He was kidnapped three days after another U.S. businessman was abducted as he drove to his job in eastern Tijuana.
Don't hold your breath waiting for screams of outrage from Mexico City or Washington DC, for that matter.

Dick "the turban" Durbin has got to be one of the worst senators ever to pollute the halls of government. Besides comparing our troops to Nazis, he is just an ignorant human being even when it comes to basic facts he should have at his fingertips. What follows is just a small part of an interview from "Your World with Neil Cavuto."
CAVUTO: Senator, do you know how much, out of curiosity, is built into a gallon of gasoline, the profits of the oil companies? Do you know what's the average?
DURBIN: Well, let me see. ExxonMobil, what did they make in three months? It was $10 billion, if I'm not mistaken, the largest corporate profits in the history of the United States.
When Durbin speaks, there should be calliope music in the backround.
He doesn't answer the question, because he doesn't know the answer. Why doesn't he know? Because he is more concerned about misdirecting the blame for our nation's problem when, in fact, it is the government that has done nothing to solve the problem. The same as they have allowed illegals to invade us at will.
So, let's label the oil companies the evil, greedy villians and perhaps no one will notice that the confederacy of incompetents in Washington, of which Durbin is a chief dunce, have failed to come up with a comprehensive energy policy over and over again.
Years after 9/11 they are still incapable of securing our borders. They claim FEMA doesn't work and want to dismantle it, but who put the bureaucratic nightmare of FEMA together in the first place. They did! And, they continue to whistle while skipping like morons through the graveyard of social security.
Those Americans who continue to return spineless cretins like Durbin to office should be ashamed. Let's vote these idiots out and find solid Americans to run this country. I say we give Durbin's job to Neil Cavuto.
More of the interview can be found here.

It is the "brainchild" of Jacques Chirac intended to counter the "misunderstandings, prejudices and fear among peoples and civil societies."
This is so French, I'm amazed John Kerry didn't think of it first. As usual, the Frenchies think everyone else in the world should put on kaleidoscopic lenses and view distorted images instead of stark reality. Coupling this almost psychotic view of the world, with the over intellectualization that is so typically French, has fueled the deterioration of this former world power so that now it is a mere footnote of history.
Expect these workshops to become another forum for European self-deprecation and Muslim anti-Israel tirades.

Queen Mary College has issued a report, commissioned by the Department for Constitutional Affairs, that says, "It is important to recognise that the term homosexuality is considered inappropriate by many gays and lesbians today."
As a result, the Lord Chancellor, one Lord Falconer, has ordered that the word "homosexual" be banned from all official documents in his department. Thus, it joins a nasty group of other offensive words, among which are immigrant, Asian, man and wife, mixed race, West Indian and asylum seeker.
Last June, I posted about the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, in Belfast Ireland. They declared that the term "brainstorming" might be offensive to people with epilepsy and those with brain tumors or injuries. They decided to replace "brainstorming with "thought-showers."
Ridiculous? Don't forget, there are those among us who would do the same. The best weapon against these morons is ridicule. We should react to them the same way children at the circus react when the clowns continue to keep coming out of the tiny car. Faced with such absurdity, one can only point and laugh.

The mysterious Chupacabra vampire has been spotted in Russia. First sighted in Puerto Rico, back in the early 90s, this may be its first appearance outside the Americas.
An article from Mosnews, states:
Reports of a beast that kills animals and sucks on their blood came from a village in Central Russia back in March 2005, when a farm had 32 turkeys killed overnight. The beast left the corpses bloodless, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily said.
Then reports came from neighboring villages, where more than 30 sheep and goats fell victim to the vampire. Again, the blood had been drained from corpses but the flesh remained intact. All the slaughtered animals had similar puncture wounds on their necks, different from the marks that wolves, dogs or lynx leave on their victims.
Finally, eyewitness descriptions match the traditional description of the Chupacabra, said to resemble a kangaroo and a dog with huge teeth.
I hope the investigators check the vodka consumption levels of these eyewitnesses before they expend too much time and money researching the vampiric appearances. Still, it's nice to have a strange news item, now and then, to take our minds off the really horrific events of the day.
Joe Cook and the ACLU of Louisiana are at it again. The mayor of Mandeville, Lousiana started holding Bible study sessions at city hall during lunchtime. Joe Cook, executive director of the Louisiana chapter says, not everyone would feel welcome at a gathering of this type and that's a problem.
So if a group of people, on their lunch hour, get together on a topic that someone does not feel "welcome" to participate in, they should not be allowed to assemble? Regardless of whether it's public or private property, this is being done on their own time and of their own free will. The buildings are paid for by people of faith as well as atheists.
Joe Cook has a history of animosity toward Christianity. Back in August of last year, he compared school prayer supporters to the September 11th terroristes. “They have always crossed the line of separation of church and government… They believe they answer to a higher power, in my opinion… which is the kind of thinking you had with the people who flew airplanes in the buildings in this country and people who did that kind of thing in London.” He continued to flaunt his hatred by saying that it’s dangerous to have people who believe they, “answer to some higher religious power than the Constitution of the United States of America.”
After the proverbial you know what hit the fan, here was Joe's "apology": “I want to express my sincere regrets for my use of hyperbole and the analogy that I made regarding Tangipahoa Parish public school officials. I see how my unfortunate choice of rhetoric could be interpreted as disdain for religious beliefs, but that is absolutely not my position, nor the position of the national ACLU or any of its affiliates.”
Note, he does not step back from the premise that people of faith are dangerous, only that he may have exaggerated how dangerous. He made an unfortunate choice of words, that's all. But, there is no wiggle room in his statements. Disdain for religious beliefs would be putting it mildly. It reflects the thinking of the ACLU, that this bigot has remained as one of its state officers when it is so clear what hatred his heart holds.

"Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic — it's just not going to work," Bush said. "You know, you can hear people out there hollering it's going to work. It's not going to work."
Translation: I am one of those responsible for permitting this problem to get out of hand and now, I want an easy fix, amnesty.
He then played his tired compassionate conservative song, "One thing we cannot lose sight of is that we're talking about human beings, decent human beings that need to be treated with respect," the president said.
The same could be said about the American citizens victimized by this onslaught of illegals. What about the stolen and destroyed property of American ranchers and homeowners living on the border? How about the victims of the murderers, rapists, pedophiles and addicts? How about the casualties from wrecks caused by criminals attempting to evade law enforcement.
Aren't all those Americans decent human beings that need to be treated with respect? Thay were probably under the impression that the US Constitution covered them, but that would mean having a president who took his oath of office seriously. In case you forgot, Mr. Bush:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Our president is rapidly falling in the polls because he no longer has the support of the American people. The Republicans are about to pay a heavy price at election time, midterm, because they have failed to deliver on their promises. Americans do not want amnesty and anything short of securing our borders and sifting carefully through who is here and deciding, case by case, who goes and who stays is unacceptable.
Bush senior lost an election by demonstrating how out of touch he was with the American public. Junior is about to make his party pay the price for his folly.
Much like the UN itself, the buildings are well past their useful life. The current plan is to build a temporary structure on the lawn and begin renovation of 10 floors at a time of the building.
If only 100 million dollars could actually fix the UN body, which is undoubtedly more vermin infested than any building they may occupy.
What a waste of time, money and prime real estate!

Knowing this man lied before and misrepresented in a shameful way the record of his fellow soldiers, why would anyone listen to him? It is shameful that he serves in our nation's Senate, disgraceful that he was nominated for president and tragic that any crowd would assemble for him unless it involved tar and feathers.

Tomorrow morning at 10 AM, two minutes of silence will be observed while a siren is sounded across the country. The "Every Person has a Name" ceremony will begin at 11:00 in the Knesset, during which the names of the Holocaust victims will be read aloud. Other memorial ceremonies will be held tonight and tomorrow.
Meanwhile, this past Friday in New York, the Islamic Thinkers Society (there's an oxymoron) held an anti-Semitic rally outside the Israeli Consulate in Manhattan, carrying signs that said “Islam will Dominate” with a picture of an Islamic flag over the White House.
The group chanted slogans such as, "Israeli Zionists, What do you say? The real Holocaust is on its way! ... Allahu Akbar!... Israeli Zionists, What do you say? How many women have you raped today? ... Zionists, Zionists You will pay! The Wrath of Allah is on its way! The mushroom cloud is on its way! The real Holocaust is on its way! ... We will not accept the United Nations, they are the criminals themselves... We know many government services are watching us, such as the FBI…CIA…Mossad, Homeland Security… May the FBI burn in Hell CIA burn in Hell, Mossad burn in Hell, Homeland Security burn in hell! ... Islam will dominate the world, Islam is the only solution!"
Anti-Semitism is still alive and well, as evidenced by these hate mongering Muslims. Cheap imitations of the Nazi monsters they try to emulate, they will suffer the same fate of all those who attack God's chosen.
Over 5,000 Jewish youth will be taking part in the annual March of the Living in Poland tomorrow. The three-kilometer march between Birkenau and Auschwitz commemorates the Death Marches that the Nazis forced Jews to take along that very route in the 1940's; tens of thousands of Jews perished in three of these Death Marches.
The Jewish people have the will and determination to overcome any odds as evidenced by the transformation of bleak desert into the prosperous state of Israel. Against that, the hate and bitterness of the Muslim world stands forlorn, wretched and pathetic.

The federal government charged three men Friday with smuggling people for financial gain after a deadly wreck near Sonoita.
They are charged with bringing 21 illegal immigrants into the United States, according to the United States Attorney for the District of Arizona.
Fernando Montes-Carrillo and David Ezquiel Tellez-Gutierrez, both Mexican citizens born in 1974, and Juan Carols Pineda-Navvaro, a U.S. citizen born in 1986, are charged with being co-conspirators involved with transporting illegal immigrants for private financial gain.
Two were allegedly drivers of trucks carrying illegal immigrants, one of which crashed in Santa Cruz County on Thursday, killing four people and injuring 21.
On Wednesday, the trio in two vehicles was spotted on Elgin Road near Sonoita, according to the federal complaint.
The federal agents were in a known smuggling route area when they saw two sets of vehicle lights. The agents who responded witnessed the two vehicles, one a Ford F-350 and the other a GMC Yukon, “driving in tandem from the area.”
“Approximately two minutes later, Border Patrol agents received a sensor alarm from the same area and dispatched a patrol vehicle to investigate,” the federal complaint’s synopsis stated.
The trucks’ drivers attempted to flee after spotting the Border Patrol.
Montes-Carrillo, who, the complaint states, matches the description of the driver of the Ford, lost control of the stolen pickup and rolled the F-350.
Survivors identified Tellez-Gutierrez, who was injured in the wreck, as the guide who brought the group into the United States from Mexico, the government said.
As for Pienda-Navarro, the driver of the other vehicle, he attempted to turn around and flee but was stopped and removed from the vehicle by Border Patrol agents.
The wreck occurred shortly after midnight Thursday. It took a response from seven helicopters and 13 ambulances to transport the victims, who were taken to various medical facilities in Sierra Vista, Benson and Tucson. Three of the people died at the scene and another succumbed in a hospital.
Three material witnesses, Jose Luis Sanchez-Gomez, Antonio Antonio Leon-Nidar and Jorge Moreno-Parra, no ages given and all Mexicans, stated, “once they reached their final destinations within the United States, they were to make arrangements to have money wired to pay for their transportation,” according to the federal government’s complaint.
The cost to America should be passed on to Mexico but we'll never see that happen. Instead, American taxpayers, who are innocent victims, will bear the cost of scrambling helicopters, ambulances, law enforcement etc. to aid these foreign lawbreakers.
"Nowhere does the [Taiwan Relations Act] explicitly require the U.S. to go to war with the mainland over Taiwan," she stated.
Of course, she wouldn't be influenced by the fact that her husband has some significant investments in Communist China. He has, in the past, received special access to government officials when he has accompanied Feinstein on her trips to China.
She has worked against the sale of arms to the Taiwanese and has actively supported more trade with the mainland every chance she's had.
Now this California liberal piece of trash wants us to sell out a true democratic ally so she can cuddle up closer to her Communist cronies. What a disgrace.

It has not proven effective
In truth, while it may not reduce crime, it certainly seems to make apprehension of the actual criminal(s) quicker and easier, thus freeing up needed resources for other duties. I have no statistics on this, but my guess would be conviction becomes easier also. That, to me, is effective.
It is susceptible to abuse.
What isn't? Any law enforcement tool can be and probably has been abused. There are unethical people and there always will be, that is no excuse to tie the ethical hands that preserve our freedoms by their dilligence.
Lack of limits or controls on camera use.
This is a concern that can be addressed, however probably never to the satisfaction of the ACLU. Even if most Americans are content with suggested checks and balances, the ACLU will always find a reason to gainsay the arguments of rational people. That is because the ACLU's concern is not about the security and peace of mind of the majority of the American public, but rather the ability of fringe groups to act out and disrupt.
It will have a chilling effect on public life.
This is one of those vague and nebulous statements the ACLU is so fond of throwing into the mix even though it can never be proven or disproven empirically. From personal experience, the chilling effect on public life is cast by the ACLU on the everyday lives of those who would display evidence of their mainstream religious beliefs and traditional family values.

America hating and peace preaching actor Danny Glover has been accused of lashing out at a paparazzi photographer. While in London to promote and star in an anti-death penalty play, Glover is alleged to have attacked the photographer, punching wildly and screaming "No, no, not tonight. If you take another shot, you m**********r..."
I guess Danny got some assault and battery lessons when he came out to support "his sister" Cynthia McKinney. Perhaps they can form a tag team and go into pro wrestling, a more suitable environment for their third rate theatrics.

According to two parliament deputies, the weapons were smuggled in from Syria. Jordanian Prime Minister Marouf al-Bakhit said, that the weapons impounded earlier this week "wasn't the first time that Hamas smuggled weapons to Jordan, but there had been several previous attempts that were busted."
Hamas and Syria working together is business as usual. The US has accused Syria of allowing militants to cross into Iraq to fight the multinational force there. The giraffe necked rat of Damascus, Bashar al-Asad, is a constant threat to any stability in the Middle East. This is a man who said of the Jews, "They tried to kill the principles of all religions with the same mentality in which they betrayed Jesus Christ and the same way they tried to betray and kill the Prophet Muhammad.
Among Iran, Syria and Hamas, there is no shortage of madmen and villains
More at Taipei Times.
On Friday, Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal, once again stated that his group would never recognize Israel. He also claimed there was a "fifth column" working against the Hamas led government. "What is going on now in the Palestinian Authority is not opposition, rather a plot to undermine the new government," he said. Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority Deputy Prime Minister Nasser Sha'arr called on Friday for Palestinian leaders to "moderate" their public statements.
This seems to be a result of the appointment of Jamal Abu Samhadana as chief of a new security force comprised of Hamas members. Samhadana has said that his new position would not halt his involvement in attacks on Israel. He is also number 2 on Israel's most wanted list.
Samhadana is one of the founders of the Popular Resistance Committees, a terrorist group that blew up several Israeli tanks in Gaza and killed three US security guards in a deadly bombing attack on a US diplomatic convoy.
While there are some signs that there are Palestianians who realize outrageous rhetoric is counterproductive, Hamas seems more intent on setting up a ministry of terrorism, than resolving the pepetual problems that have prevented a Palestinian state.

The NYCLU has been busy lately, fighting metal detectors that keep weapons out of school and closed circuit cameras that might catch crime or terrorist activity in public places. This last piece I posted at Stop the ACLU, yesterday, shows how badly they want to limit educational freedom. Here it is, one more time.
Congressman Vito Fossella (R-NY) plans to introduce a bill giving parents of children in private and parochial schools a $4,500 tax credit.
He is concerned that rising tuition costs are making it difficult for middle and low income families with children in private schools. He also feels, that parents should have a choice about where they send their children to learn.
Cue the leftwing nuts who are afraid some child might be learning anything, except how to write essays entitled “Global Warming, George Bush’s Energy Plan” or “Karl Rove and the Halliburton Hurricane Machine,” or reading something other than “The Boy With Two Dads In Bondage.” Their frustration at not being able to control the minds and souls of all our youth are thinly veiled in statements like the following from Donna Lieberman, the executive director of the NYCLU. “It’s a voucher dressed up like a tax credit, and it raises serious concerns about subsidizing private and religious education while undermining our public schools, which are already in duress.”
What she’s really worried about is the undermining of the plot to overthrow our way of life, by poisoning the minds and hearts of our children. In private and parochial school there’s a good chance kids are learning moral absolutes and traditional American values. The left is afraid, very afraid. As Lieberman railed on, “The taxpayers should not be supporting religious education. “They should be supporting nonsectarian education.”
How else will atheistic socialism triumph?

I posted this a few days ago at Stop the ACLU, but I thought it was worth posting here as well.
The mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg has announced that police, equipped with metal detectors, will be making unannounced sweeps of students at schools throughout the city this month.
This will be done as students arrive in the morning at secondary schools that do not have permanent metal detectors. The city will post notices outside schools alerting students that they can be searched on entry.
“Our reasons for doing this couldn’t be clearer or more compelling: we have zero tolerance for weapons of any kind in city schools,” said the mayor.
It certainly sounds reasonable. One would think you have a right to expect your children to be in a safe environment while they’re being educated. However, I guess that’s not one of those rights that makes the ACLU spring to action.
“We intend to ask the Department of Education a series of questions to clarify exactly what this program entails and what measures are in place to minimize the intrusions on student privacy,” said Donna Lieberman, executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union. “Schools teach by example. It would indeed be unfortunate for us to raise future generations to expect that they have no expectation of privacy.”
When I enter a government building and many commercial establishments, I forego certain rights of privacy. I know I may have to pass through a metal detector, be monitored and perhaps even be shadowed by security personnel. Why should a child have a greater expectation of privacy than an adult?
It is because we want to see our future generations grow up that we need programs that will keep our schools free from weapons. The example for them to see is that their right to live is our priority. What is truly unfortunate is that the ACLU has different priorities.

Recently two registered sex offenders living in Maine were killed at their homes and police believe the killer may have gotten the addressess from the registry.
As usual the ACLU extrapolates conclusions from data that is almost impossible to substantiate. It does, however, make for good moonbat rhetoric. Example: “This is a stark reminder that there’s no evidence that online sex offender registries increase public safety,” said Allen Gilbert, executive director of the Vermont office of the ACLU. “In fact, they might just do the opposite.”
And: “these things never work. If doing something doesn’t add to public safety and, in fact, can lead to tragedies like we’ve just seen in Maine, I think it really doesn’t make sense to have an online registry.”
And finally, the ultimate objective comes out, “They should not be making any changes to the online registry unless they can determine that, indeed, the registry increases public safety,” Gilbert said. “We think they never should have created it. They should just pull it immediately.”
I know, for a fact, that many families in the area where I live are keenly aware of local sex offenders. The online information is printed and posted at the schools and even the school bus drivers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with photos of the offenders.
It would be impossible to determine accurately how many times the dissemination of this kind of data has saved a child from a terrible tragedy. Even if the number is small it far outweighs the impact of one isolated incident by one individual. Those on the registries are there as a result of their own actions. Their illegal behavior may have caused them to be put in the position of perhaps being targets for some crazed avenger. The children, on the other hand, are totally innocent victims of uncontrolled perverts. If we are going to err, let it be on the side of the innocent.
The truth is the ACLU has never wanted these registries and is using this as another means to attack them. Back in February, I posted about the ACLU in Indiana suing to give convicted sex offenders access to parks and playgrounds. Their excuse, then, was that the offenders wouldn’t be able to see their children or grandchildren at play. Oh well, there are prices to be paid for the choices you make in life. Contrary to the ACLU, most of us prefer the cost be borne by the criminals and not the law abiding. Once again the “civil liberties” folks find themselves on the wrong side of the issue.

An article in The Plain Dealer of Cleveland says that the ACLU is challenging part of a new Ohio state law requiring applicants under final consideration for a government job, contract or license to complete and sign questionnaires to determine if they have supported organizations on a federal list of terrorists.
The ACLU challenge came about when a lawyer was told he wouldn’t be assigned court-appointed cases unless he signed a questionnaire stating he is not a terrorist and does not support terrorism.
The ACLU is arguing that only the Supreme Court, and not the legislature, has jurisdiction over Ohio’s courts.
“It’s an argument that’s absurd on its face,” State Sen.ator Jeff Jacobson said. “They’re saying that this interferes with the Supreme Court. All we’re doing is regulating who can be paid by the state.”
Be advised, Senator, absurd arguments have frequently won the day ever since the supposed “Twinkie defense” of 1978. For almost 30 years now our courts have entertained the most bizarre defenses to the detriment of society.
The article also says, the new Ohio law permits the arrest of people who refuse to cooperate when police who suspect them of committing or witnessing felonies ask them for their names. It creates a group to assess and protect security at Ohio’s shipping ports, allowing pre-certified doctors and other volunteers into secured areas after a natural disaster. It also creates harsher penalties for attacks by animal rights activists and environmentalists.
Be prepared, I’m sure the ACLU is looking for any reason, no matter how absurd, to challenge other parts of this law.

I have been following the progress of this plan since January, when I first wrote about how New York City was looking to London as an example of how to improve security in lower Manhattan. London has what is known as the "ring of steel", a system of closed-circuit cameras and narrow roads. Police can block it off while cameras scan for wanted vehicles and monitor traffic and people entering and exiting the area.
I warned in March that the NYCLU was already trying to portray this system as the final step before the placement of cameras in your living room.
These cameras in Brooklyn are the first installment of a program that will place 500 cameras throughout the city if the federal dollars come through.
The NYPD claims the money will be well spent because al-Qaida once cased the Stock Exchange and other financial institutions in lower Manhattan.
"We have every reason to believe New York remains in the cross-hairs, so we have to do what it takes to protect the city," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said in remarks last week at Harvard University.
The department "is installing cameras first and asking questions later," said Donna Lieberman, executive director the New York Civil Liberties Union.
Exactly what she means by that, I am not sure. The cameras will be restricted to public areas and the police commissioner recently established a panel of four corporate defense lawyers to advise the department on surveillance policies.
What expectation to privacy should you have in the public arena? Whatever you do in public has the potential of being viewed by someone, including law enforcement personnel.
I repeat myself, but I have to say again that the ACLU is the first to defend unlimited freedom for drug dealers, pedophiles and practioners of oddball religious rites. They proclaim the right of panhandlers to invade my privacy and personal space when I'm in public, going so far as to define begging as not just asking for money but delivering a political message.
What is it about the ACLU and its chapters that always makes them want to harass law enforcement while rallying to the causes of the vilest criminal element and the outpatients of the local asylum?
Last year, in London, the system read 37 million license plates and identified 91,000 positive matches for wanted vehicles. Nearly 550 arrests were made as a result.
The cameras in London played a key role in identifying the July 7 Underground and bus bombers. Although they didn't prevent the terrorist act they certainly assured apprehension.
Why would the NYCLU want to deprive law enforcement from accomplishing at least the same here? As I said last month, they fail to understand that without security there is no freedom and that the twin towers disaster showed us the enemy of our way of life. Again, it is not, despite NYCLU and ACLU arguments to the contrary, the NYPD.
Thanks to Newsday.

Republicans are now more trusted on immigration - 37 percent trust them , while just 31 percent trust Democrats, according to a national survey by the Rasmussen Reports Web site done April 8-9.
That marks a Democratic slide from 10 days earlier, when both parties were equally trusted on the hot issue. Thirty-eight percent said they trusted Republicans and 37 percent trusted Democrats.
Americans don't like being told what to do by foreigners who have already proven they can't run their own countries. That's why they have to try to come here for jobs.

What a pretentious, illegal loving, jackass!
Yet, here it is the Times On Line:
IRAN has formed battalions of suicide bombers to strike at British and American targets if the nation’s nuclear sites are attacked. According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action.
The main force, named the Special Unit of Martyr Seekers in the Revolutionary Guards, was first seen last month when members marched in a military parade, dressed in olive-green uniforms with explosive packs around their waists and detonators held high.
Dr Hassan Abbasi, head of the Centre for Doctrinal Strategic Studies in the Revolutionary Guards, said in a speech that 29 western targets had been identified: “We are ready to attack American and British sensitive points if they attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.” He added that some of them were “quite close” to the Iranian border in Iraq.
If it were me, I'd be more frightened to be Iranian. There has to be something in the water or maybe it's the lack of pork in the diet.
Last Monday, just before he announced that Iran had gatecrashed "the nuclear club", President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad disappeared for several hours. He was having a khalvat (tête-à-tête) with the Hidden Imam, the 12th and last of the imams of Shiism who went into "grand occultation" in 941.
According to Shia lore, the Imam is a messianic figure who, although in hiding, remains the true Sovereign of the World. In every generation, the Imam chooses 36 men, (and, for obvious reasons, no women) naming them the owtad or "nails", whose presence, hammered into mankind's existence, prevents the universe from "falling off". Although the "nails" are not known to common mortals, it is, at times, possible to identify one thanks to his deeds. It is on that basis that some of Ahmad-inejad's more passionate admirers insist that he is a "nail", a claim he has not discouraged. For example, he has claimed that last September, as he addressed the United Nations' General Assembly in New York, the "Hidden Imam drenched the place in a sweet light".
Last year, it was after another khalvat that Ahmadinejad announced his intention to stand for president. Now, he boasts that the Imam gave him the presidency for a single task: provoking a "clash of civilisations" in which the Muslim world, led by Iran, takes on the "infidel" West, led by the United States, and defeats it in a slow but prolonged contest that, in military jargon, sounds like a low intensity, asymmetrical war.
Thanks to the Telegraph.
All I can say is, this reminds me of the joke that Islamic terrorists were complaining about being referred to as towel heads. They claim they do not wear towels but rather little folded sheets. Therefore the politically correct name for them is "little sheet heads."
If this is what the EU has as their priority in the War on Terror European leaders should begin wearing big sheets on their heads. Now that I think about it, Chirac already is a "big sheet head."
He was riding around a campground when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods. A helpless liberal, wearing sandals, shorts, a "Save the Whales" T-shirt and an ACLU Hat, was struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the jaws of a 10 foot grizzly.
As the Pope watched horrified, a group of loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a thirty-aught-six into the bear's chest. The other two reached up and pulled the bleeding semiconscious liberal from the bear's mouth. Then using long clubs, the three loggers beat the bear to death and two of them threw it onto the bed of their truck while the other tenderly placed the injured liberal in the back seat.
As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over to him. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions!" he told them. "I heard there was bitter hatred between loggers and environmentalists, but now I've seen with my own eyes that is not true."
As the Pope drove off, one of the loggers asked his buddies "Who was that guy?" "It was the Pope," another replied, "he's in direct contact with God and has access to all of God's wisdom."
"Well," the logger said, "he may have access to all of God's wisdom, but he sure doesn't know anything about bear hunting.....
By the way, is the bait holding up okay ....or do we need to go back to town and grab another one?"

Their failure to disrupt national elections and a constitutional referendum last year "was a tactical admission by Zarqawi that their strategy had failed," said Lt. Gen. John R. Vines, who commands the XVIII Airborne Corps.
"They no longer view Iraq as fertile ground to establish a caliphate and as a place to conduct international terrorism," he said in an address at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
I hope this is true and Zarqawi, the human vermin, gets exterminated while hiding in a rathole.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy was hit in the face with a hammer when an entrepreneur, demonstrating shock absorption, accidentally sent the hammer's head flying at Kennedy's mouth.
Kennedy received six stitches in his bottom lip after the incident Wednesday during an economic development meeting, his spokeswoman Robin Costello said.
What a wimp. Teddy would have said, "Hit me again and this time make it a double!"
Up from the meadows rich with corn,
Clear in the cool September morn,
The clustered spires of Frederick stand
Green-walled by the hills of Maryland.
Round about them orchards sweep,
Apple and peach tree fruited deep,
Fair as the garden of the Lord
To the eyes of the famished rebel horde,
On that pleasant morn of the early fall
When Lee marched over the mountain-wall;
Over the mountains winding down,
Horse and foot, into Frederick town.
Forty flags with their silver stars,
Forty flags with their crimson bars,
Flapped in the morning wind: the sun
Of noon looked down, and saw not one.
Up rose old Barbara Frietchie then,
Bowed with her fourscore years and ten;
Bravest of all in Frederick town,
She took up the flag the men hauled down;
In her attic window the staff she set,
To show that one heart was loyal yet,
Up the street came the rebel tread,
Stonewall Jackson riding ahead.
Under his slouched hat left and right
He glanced; the old flag met his sight.
'Halt!' - the dust-brown ranks stood fast.
'Fire!' - out blazed the rifle-blast.
It shivered the window, pane and sash;
It rent the banner with seam and gash.
Quick, as it fell, from the broken staff
Dame Barbara snatched the silken scarf.
She leaned far out on the window-sill,
And shook it forth with a royal will.
'Shoot, if you must, this old gray head,
But spare your country's flag,' she said.
A shade of sadness, a blush of shame,
Over the face of the leader came;
The nobler nature within him stirred
To life at that woman's deed and word;
'Who touches a hair of yon gray head
Dies like a dog! March on! he said.
All day long through Frederick street
Sounded the tread of marching feet:
All day long that free flag tost
Over the heads of the rebel host.
Ever its torn folds rose and fell
On the loyal winds that loved it well;
And through the hill-gaps sunset light
Shone over it with a warm good-night.
Barbara Frietchie's work is o'er,
And the Rebel rides on his raids nor more.
Honor to her! and let a tear
Fall, for her sake, on Stonewalls' bier.
Over Barbara Frietchie's grave,
Flag of Freedom and Union, wave!
Peace and order and beauty draw
Round they symbol of light and law;
And ever the stars above look down
On thy stars below in Frederick town!
John Greenleaf Whittier
What follows is a quote of Nadine's from an interview in 1995. You may read the entire interview here.
"The whole subject of child pornography is a separate one because I am proceeding from the premise that mature individuals are capable of, and should therefore be entitled to, their own choices about what they see, what they read, what they produce, and what they perform for. When we're talking about a very young person, that person is not capable of making those choices. Now I think the complex and interesting issues are where exactly you draw the line -- [the] ACLU argues for reproductive rights to be given to people who are minors: If they're old enough to get pregnant, then we have to give them some opportunity to show that they are mature enough to make a decision about an abortion. Well then, why not about performing for pornography?"
Did you catch the twisted trail of liberal logic leading to the subtle blessing of adolescent porn? If they're old enough to get pregnant, then they're old enough to decide on abortion which, in turn, means they're old enough to perform porn. Well, girls have been known to get pregnant at twelve, do we want to be part of the society that the ACLU envisions, where twelve year olds are performing sex acts for money?
Want to know a little more about Nadine? Would you be surprised if I were to tell you That in 2001 she appeared as a guest in "The Vagina Monologues" at the National Theater in Washington, D.C. ?
She is also a member of the advisory board of NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. And a profile of her, by the New York Law School, tells us she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Is it any wonder the ACLU panders to the perverse when it claims to be addressing civil liberties?

Fly The Flag Today
RAGGED OLD FLAGI walked through a county court house square
On a park bench an old man was sitting there
I said, "Your court house is kinda run down"
He said, "Naw, it'll do for our little town"
I said, "Your flag pole has leaned a little bit
And that's a Ragged Old Flag you got hanging on it"
He said, "Have a seat" and I sat down
"Is this the first time you've been in our little town?"
I said, "I think it is," he said, "I don't like to brag
But we're kinda proud of that Ragged Old Flag
You see, we got a little hole in that flag there
When Washington took it across the Delaware
And it got powder burned the night Francis Scott Key
Sat watchin' it writing "Say Can You See'
And it got a bad rip in New Orleans
With Packinham and Jackson tuggin' at its seams
And it almost fell at the Alamo
Beside the Texas flag but she waved on through
She got cut with a sword at Chancellorsville
And she got cut again at Shiloh Hill
There was Robert E. Lee, Beauregard and Bragg
And the south wind blew hard on that Ragged Old Flag
On Flanders Field in World War I
She got a big hole from a Bertha Gun
She turned blood red in World War II
She hung limp and low by the time it was through
She was in Korea and Vietnam
She went where she was sent by her Uncle Sam
Native Americans, brown, yellow and white
All shed red blood for the Stars and Stripes
In her own good land here she's been abused
She's been burned, dishonored, denied and refused
And the government for which she stands
Has been scandalized throughout the land
And she's getting threadbare and wearing thin
But she's in good shape for the shape she's in
'Cause she's been through the fire before
And I believe she can take a whole lot more
So we raise her up every morning, take her down every night
We don't let her touch the ground and fold her up tight
On second thought I do like to brag
'Cause I'm mighty proud of that Ragged Old Flag."

The House, which is more representative of the majority of American voters, passed legislation late last year that makes illegal immigrants subject to felony prosecution.
So, Hastert betrays his fellow representatives and Frist continues to disappoint in the leadership role as they cave in to pressure by socialists, anarchists and foreigners who would tell us how to run our country. If Frist is thinking of running for president, he has just managed to torpedo his own ship.
This entire debacle is playing out as if it has been scripted to delude the American people. It seems the decision to make citizens out of millions of illegal trespassers on our soil has already been made and now the play is in its final act.
The illegals are here because our government has deliberately refused to enforce existing law. The illegals will remain because the government deliberately refuses to enforce the will of the American people. What is going on in Washington is merely the lipstick on the pig.

Is that so? And who is McCarrick to determine that? This is a man who publicly prayed to Allah, yet claims to worship the one, true, triune God of Christianity.
Last September, in a speech at Catholic University, the good cardinal offered a prayer "in the name of Allah, the merciful and compassionate."
Here is the entire speech:
"Traditional Islam: The Path to Peace"
Remarks by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to King Abdullah II of Jordan
Archbishop of Washington and CUA Chancellor
A few months ago, when I was privileged to pray for you on another occasion in this capital city, I asked Allah, the compassionate and merciful Lord of all the world, to bless you and to help you make your country a bridge across which all nations might walk in unity, fellowship and love. As I listened to your words today, I believe my prayer is being answered.
Indeed, the Amman Message of November of last year is a blueprint and a challenge not only to the great world of Islam, but to the whole human race. Your thoughtful leadership is a stirring invitation to all of us, especially to the people of the Book, the family of Abraham, who share so much and who are called to be brothers and sisters in God's one human family.
Your Majesty's call and that of the Holy Father are in so many ways the same. May Allah, the merciful and compassionate, continue to guide your steps along this noble path. May He guide and protect you, your family and your beloved country and may peace and justice come to all lands and all peoples through your efforts, your vision and your courage.
In the name of Allah, the merciful and compassionate God, we pray. Amen.
And that my friends tells me all I need to know about Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and his integrity. You cannot have Allah as your god, Cardinal, and still claim to worship the Christ. They are not the same.
Hat tip to Sermon Index.
Here are some of the poll's findings:
By a margin of 56 to 40 percent, respondents said they want the wall built from sea to shining sea. I would call that a clear cut majority that wants a real wall, not a virtual, "let's all pretend to feel secure," wall.
62 percent told Time that they favored using the military to guard the border. Just 35 percent opposed. Are you listening, Mr. President and do you intend to fullfil your oath to protect and defend us? If the Democrats ever got serious about impeachment this would be the issue but, people in glass houses, etc.
51 percent, said the U.S. would be "better of" if all illegals were deported and the border sealed to prevent any more from coming in. Just 38 percent disagreed. Even the 3percent margin can't make this one close.
75 percent say illegals should be denied government supplied health care and food stamps, with 21 percent saying they should get those benefits. A majority, 69 percent, say illegals shouldn't be allowed to get U.S. drivers licenses. Is that enough of a majority for you idiots in Washington? We already fought a revolution over having no representation, are we going to have to do it again?
Too many senators of both parties are refusing to acknowledge the will of the American people. Their sympathies are with causes that are anti-American and they are willing to subvert the sovereignty of this great nation to achieve them. The Faustian deal they have cut must not succeed or we will enter a new Dark Age of anarchy.
His reply? "Absolutely. I supported and was prepared to vote for amnesty from 1986."
Teresa Heinz, Kerry's wife has a favorite charity called the Tides Foundation. This is a grant making institution that funds radical groups, one of which is the Barrio Warriors, an Hispanic organization that calls for the liberation of the American Southwest.
Yet, Kerry claims to be a patriot and he actually ran for president of the United States. "Reporting for duty," John? What kind, subversive? How do these people escape prosecution for supporting organizations that have as their goal acquiring sovereign American soil? If there isn't a law there should be, but look who we have making our laws. When there is a law, they don't bother to enforce it which is how we arrived at this illegal nightmare now.
Yet, what can we expect from a man who will not be forthcoming regarding his military records?
John Kerry, release your FULL military records.

In November of last year , several of these traitors reintroduced the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. This would give illegal aliens who graduate from high school, legal residency and tuition breaks at public colleges and universities. It forces US taxpayers to subsidize education of people who are here in violation of our laws. If we are going to spend taxpayer money should it not be for American students and immigrants who are here legally?
The Senate Judiciary Committee led by Senator Hatch passed this rip off of American tax dollars but it has been stalled in the Senate. The only senators on the Judiciary committee who voted aginst it were Jeff Sessions, Saxby Chambliss and Lindsey Graham. The rest will be trying to sneak it through with the new illegal amnesty bill that they are plotting now.The sponsors were Richard Durbin (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Richard Lugar (R-IN). The other original cosponsors were Norm Coleman (R-MN), Larry Craig (R-ID), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Mike DeWine (R-OH), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Edward Kennedy (D-MA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Joseph Lieberman (D-CT), John McCain (R-AZ), and Barack Obama (D-IL).
Illegal alien students even had a mock graduation ceremony where they dressed in caps and gowns and received fake diplomas signed by fake American senators, Orrin Hatch, Dick Lugar and Dick Durbin who all sponsored this atrocity. This took place in our nation's Capitol, obviously with these senators approval. The Benedict Arnold club is alive and active.
This dream need to die permanently, along with the careers of those who spawned and support it.

All immigration judges would step down after serving seven years. Replacements are retricted to attorneys with at least five years' experience practicing immigration law. Most of these would be attorneys who represent aliens in the courts, mostly liberals who would not be enthusiastic about enforcing immigration laws.
Dick "The Turban"Durbin (D-Ill.), who compared our soldiers to Nazis, continues his season of treason by repealing a 1996 law that prohibits state universities from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens. Make sure we pay those terrorists to get an education while they're plotting to blow us up, Dickie. The fact that this American military bashing vermin still pollutes the Senate with his malodorous attempts at oratory is disgraceful.
There's a lot more in the article showing why we can no longer trust that the welfare of the nation is being attended by the US Senate. It's a must read.

I posted this on Stop the ACLU last night and I thought I would post it here also in case anyone missed it there. Besides, it already has attracted a leftwing looney who thinks aberrations in nature should be viewed as normal instead of deviant.
Ok, it’s time to write Court TV about airing the ACLU’s new 10-part series, Freedom Files. On April 15, they will be bemoaning the fact that gay couples are not the same as straight ones. The truth is gay couples are not the normal family environment and do not provide the desired examples that are needed to raise children in a correct social setting. The fact that gay couples cannot procreate is ample evidence to show why the whole situation is unnatural. You may be able to fool the ninth circus court because they are fools, but you can’t fool mother nature. Anthony Romero, the gay Executive Director of the ACLU wants to convince you otherwise. I wonder why?
At the same time I learned about this Court TV fiasco, I also read that there are new statistics that San Francisco has the highest percentage of gay men among major cities in the world, with a quarter of them HIV-positive. Is this a lifestyle for children to be raised in?
Write to Court TV and demand that this type of propaganda be stopped. If they will not listen, then write to your cable or satellite provider and ask them to drop Court TV. It is time that this one sided, prejudicial, gay agenda promoting assault on our families be stopped.

The more successful you have been at flouting the law, the greater your reward. An estimated 6.7 million illegals could fall into the five years or longer category. They would have to agree to learn English and there is no doubt they would do that because they are obviously trustworhty individuals who play by the rules. Give me a break!
Who will decide and how will they determine if English has been mastered? We can't teach our American born children to speak English properly, how will we teach people who have no interest in speaking it? Will we actually deport someone for failing to learn the language when we don't even deport them for breaking our laws? There's an ACLU case waiting to happen.
Next, we have the less than five but more than two years group. They must go to a port of entry, touch it and return. The only thing more childish than this are the minds of the senile old men who thought it up. This could be as many as 2.8 million, added to the group above we could be talking 9.5 million illegals getting amnesty.
The remaining illegals get to go home because they haven't broken the law long enough, thereby disqualifying themselves for amnesty and citizenship. Will they go home? Will those who are wanted by the law for various crimes sign up to this program? I doubt it. Will they be apprehended and expelled? I doubt it.
We will be no better off then we were before, no more secure (we're getting a virtual wall instead of a real one). Except now, we will have almost 10 million foreigners, most of whom couldn't give a tinker's dam about this country, running around legally. That will entitle them to more government aid, handouts and benefits, for which we will all pay dearly. Whatever we're saving in the price of lettuce will be paid out at tax time and in overburdened facilities (hospitals, clinics, post offices, motor vehicle departments, etc.) used by all of us.
The traitors in Washington should be called to account but, I am losing faith that this nation has the will to fix its problems.

Are you happy with your government today? Are you happy with a president and a Senate who have sold the citizenship of our nation down the river?
Are you happy with the disgusting display of your political parties applauding themselves for agreeing to betray the laws and sovereignty of our country? Like little children who have learned to play well together, yet do not understand the treachery they have wrought, they are the dealers of doom.
I am ashamed today to be an American. My immigrant ancestors who played by the rules and taught me to abandon loyalty of the old country and pledge my allegiance to the new must be spinning in their graves.
If this bill is allowed to stand, then we deserve the future it portends. The rule of law has been forsaken. God help us, we know not what we do. God, please, save the Republic.
This is Donna McKay, the ACLU's Director of Development. Her backround includes an eight year association with Planned Parenthood during which she spent some time as the director of program funding for its NYC affiliate. This would suggest Donna is a disciple of Margaret Sanger, whose American Birth Control League was the forerunner of Planned Parenthood. The ACLU has long adored Margaret and has espoused the most radical abortion positions. They brag about defending the mother of infanticide, the woman who wrote, "The most merciful thing that a fanily does to one of its infant members is to kill it."
Margaret was the one who spoke of the "unfit," the "irresponsible and reckless," and those "whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers." Does that sound like an endorsement for civil liberties? Obviously not! But, the agenda of Planned Parenthood dovetails with the agenda of the ACLU perfectly. Like the old Outer Limits program the ACLU wants you to "sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear."
How fitting that a Planned Parenthood alumnus should be a staff member of the ACLU.
And so, the ACLU proudly carries on its tradition of subverting the unalienable rights, endowed by the Creator. What a legacy!

It is rather troubling that someone like Cynthia McKinney has enough support to get elected and worse that she has people coming to the defense of her erratic behavior. Of course, when it is leftwing nut jobs like Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover, who leave the arms of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez to rush to your side, that says a lot about you.
McKinney has said she will be exonerated and that "this whole incident was instigated by the inappropriate touching and stopping of me, a female, black congresswoman."
For someone playing the race card she has an interesting history of racism and anti- Semitism herself. She refused to vote for a resolution condemning the anti-Semitic statements of a disciple of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and in fact called on him to help her campaign. In May 2002 McKinney was one of 17 House Democrats who voted against a Resolution (HR 392) expressing support for Israel as it faced terrorist attacks that killed more than 600 civilians. The resolution she opposed stated that, "the United States and Israel are now engaged in a common struggle against terrorism."
She is a fan of racist Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe and thinks his confiscation of white owned property is fair and just.
On a leftwing, Berkeley radio station, McKinney implied that President Bush knew in advance about the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and said that the President let thousands of innocent people die because this would profit the Bush family's wealthy friends. She admits she has no proof but that doesn't prevent her from clinging to this idiotic belief.
Her former campaign donors include Abdurahman Alamoudi, the former executive director of the American Muslim Council and the man who received a 23-year prison term for illegal dealings with Libya that include a role in the planned killing of Saudi Arabian Prince Abdullah.
Is it any wonder that NewsMax reports that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is so mad at McKinney that she's no longer speaking to her? Of course, the reason is not that of any intelligent, sane individual who would want to put some distance between themselves and this congressional ad for a straitjacket. Pelosi fears McKinney's recent assault on a policeman will distract from Republican woes.
To Pelosi's credit though, she has twice turned down McKinney’s request to regain her seniority after she was defeated and then reelected in 2002 and 2004.
The simple fact is that Cynthia McKinney is a victim of her own self importance and it is unfortunate that she can garner enough publicity so that the rest of us have to be exposed to her nonsense.
Hopefully, at some future point in time, her district will regain its dignity and its sanity and dismiss this pernicious bitch to the trash heap where she belongs.
