Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens would be able to receive health care coverage from their employers under the bills currently before Congress. Is anyone shocked?
Even though Obama pledged that illegals would not benefit from this health care "reform," the Democrats who wrote the House bill admit it could happen. It will happen. The Democrat response? It is not their intention to provide benefits to illegals, but it's the outcome of people breaking the law.What?
"It's possible an employee could deceive an employer with a fraudulent document, just as under current law, to gain employment, just as it's possible for all sorts of criminal activity to occur, and why we have law enforcement," said Nadeam Elshami, a spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. So why not put more penalties into this bill and make them harsh enough to deter criminal activity.
Are the Democrats admitting illegals engage in criminal activity? That alone would be a step forward.
