An article by Bill Goldcamp, a diplomatic historian and a former political analyst at the CIA, needs your attention.
In it he states, "Not since 1980 have American voters faced a starker choice in philosophy of governing than they will face in November 2012. Had Jimmy Carter defeated Ronald Reagan in the 1980 election, we would have lost the Cold War and become a footnote in history. If Obama is re-elected in 2012, he will complete the transformation of the U.S. from the beacon of freedom that it’s been to a nation bereft of its reason for being, descending to its knees, and poised to be drowned by the tide of mediocrity."
