Here A Lobbyist, There A Lobbyist, Everwhere A Lobbyist

It keeps getting better folks.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has chosen Mark Patterson another former lobbyist to be his chief of staff. What were the odds?

There is not even a pretense of keeping the promises regarding lobbyists in the Obama white house.

So far in addition to Geithner and Patterson, we have William J. Lynn III, who up until July was a lobbyist for defense contractor Raytheon, now blessed by Obama as the number two Defense Department guy.

And finally, let's not leave out William Corr, the new deputy secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services. He lobbied through most of last year as an anti-tobacco advocate.

No cries of foul from the media though. Whatever Barack does is just fine with them.

He Won't Allow It, Unless he Does

While campaigning, Obama said about lobbyists, “They won’t work in my White House!” He said that more than once, so saying he misspoke, whatever that means, won't cut it. Later he said that even if they did work in his White House, “You will not be able to go lobby for an industry that you regulated, and I won’t hire somebody into my administration regulating the industry he or she worked for.”

Then, his new treasury secretary is announced and it's Tim Geithner, a former lobbyist for Goldman Sachs. Tim Geithner, a tax evader who failed to pay in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Even if these were mistakes as Geithner claims, why would we want such a bonehead for treasury secretary? Why would Obama want him?

So much for Barack's new ethical era. It's Illinois politics gone national.

And Tell Him It Smells Like Roses

Well, Obama is getting feedback to his friendly overtures toward America's enemies. Iran's president has responded to the new US president by demanding an apology for past US "crimes" committed against Iran.

Thanks to the another spineless liberal we once elected, the Iranians never paid in blood for their invasion of the American embassy and the taking of our citizens as hostages. They still owe the unpaid bill for that crime.

Will Barack continue his groveling to get the blessing of the great unwashed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Why not, after all the liberals think America's at fault anyway.

President Dolittle Talks To The Terrorists

While Obama is busy kissing up to the islamomaniacs on Al-Arabiya, the Palestinians are busy violating the cease fire with Israel.

They detonated a bomb next to an Israeli army patrol along the border with Gaza Tuesday, killing one soldier and wounding three. Mushir al-Masri, a Hamas leader, said his group had not agreed to a full cease-fire but only to a "lull" in fighting. "The Zionists are responsible for any aggression," he said. Israel should lull this lunatic to everlasting sleep.

While Obama figures out how fawning and obsequious he wants to be with the wild eyed fanatics of the muslim madhouses, the terror, torture and murder will continue unabated.

The Arab world gets what they have long wanted, an American president groveling before the prophet's psychotics.

Stand And Deliver

What is going on? Where is the good news, promised by the Obamamaniacs?

VP Biden says, "There's been no good news and there's no good news on the immediate horizon."

Say it ain't so, Joe! How can this happen? You and Barack vowed to jumpstart the economy. Where is the immediate $1,000 you promised as emergency energy rebate to help families pay rising bills? Where are all the quick fixes you had up your sleeves?

No excuses guys. The time has come to deliver on your promises.

First The Reaping, Then The Weeping

What a circus! Beginning with a rhyming racist prayer, the new administration proceeds to let the clowns out of the tiny electric car. Cue the calliope music Rahm. Let the racist rant by the midget Robert Reich commence.

According to the Obama boys, white people don't embrace things that are right and stimulus money shouldn't simply go to go to high skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers.

Take that all you educated, white people. Those of you who voted for this classless carnival and sideshow prepare to reap the whirlwind.

Are You Less Safe Then You were Before

And so the end begins. Obama is expected to sign several executive orders today directing the CIA to close its network of secret foreign prisons and order the closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp within a year. The New York Times reports that the "orders would bring to an end a CIA program that kept terrorism suspects in secret custody for months or years and also prohibit them from using coercive interrogation methods.

After all, eight years of security has offended liberal sensitivities. We have not suffered the way liberals think America should for all our past sins.

So, where is the alternate plan? There is none, so we must hear from idiots like the old traitor Murtha. He says he'd be willing to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in his congressional district. "Sure, I'd take 'em," said Murtha, "They're no more dangerous in my district than in Guantanamo."

The real danger to the district and the rest of the country is Murtha himself. He only has a minimum security prison in his district, but that doesn't seem to matter. These guys are his friends, the US military is his enemy.

When the Obamanation ends, the question will be "Are you less safe now then you were before?" I hope there are some of us left to answer.

Impunity?

President George W. Bush on Monday granted early prison releases to two former U.S. Border Patrol agents who had been convicted for shooting a Mexican drug dealer. Their supposed "victim" is a Mexican national, Osvaldo Aldrete Davila. He was shot in the butt while trying to escape at the Texas border. He has admitted smuggling several hundred pounds of marijuana on the day he was shot and pleaded guilty last year to drug charges related to two other smuggling attempts.

Mexico, of course, complained about the sentence commutation. They never miss a chance to interfere in the affairs of the United States, even though they don't want us telling them what to do in Mexico. Their Deputy Secretary for Foreign Relations, Carlos Rico, admitted Mexican officials had lobbied against the release of the agents. Knowing how Bush was in bed with the banditos to the south of us, that's probably why there was no pardon.

"This is a message of impunity," Rico whined, "It's difficult to understand."

Impunity? Impunity, meaning exemption or freedom from punishment? Isn't that what you want for your hordes of lawbreakers violating our laws on a daily basis, Carlos?

What's difficult to understand is why you refuse to respect the territorial integrity of the United States of America. What's even more difficult to understand is why our presidents and congress who are sworn to protect America are complicit in helping you break our laws and they do so with impunity.

Meanwhile, Over In Pyongyang

North Korea is busy doing what it does best, sabre rattling. They have just threatened to "shatter" South Korea.

In a statement from the Korean People's Army, read on television by a uniformed officer, it was announced, "Now that traitor Lee Myung-bak and his group opted for confrontation, denying national reconciliation and cooperation, backed by foreign forces, our revolutionary armed forces are compelled to take an all-out confrontational posture to shatter them."

To complicate matters, reports are saying that North Korea has plutonium ready for up to five nuclear bombs.

Our soon to be new president has other issues besides the economy that need his immediate attention. I'm sure Hillary and Leon will tell him exactly how to handle this.

God help us.

Is Weirdo Waxman Watching the Weather?

Has anyone noticed that Henry Waxman looks like the spawn of Alan Colmes and James Carville?

Waxman began the new Congress' first hearing on global warming by announcing that inaction on the climate is causing uncertainties that make it more difficult to emerge from the recession.

Meanwhile, Chicago has the most consecutive days of snowfall since 1884 and it hasn't been this cold there in 10 years. Flint, Michigan broke a 95-year-old record early Wednesday morning when the temperature plummeted to 19 below zero. The previous record was minus 10, set in 1914, according to the National Weather Service.

One of the most dangerous Democrats, Waxman will bring us many hours of liberal lunacy during the coming years.

And Now, Mexico And Pakistan

Here's a piece of news that comes as no surprise.

Mexico is one of two countries that "bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse," according to a report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command on worldwide security threats.

The command's "Joint Operating Environment (JOE 2008)" report, which contains projections of global threats and potential next wars, puts Pakistan on the same level as Mexico. "In terms of worse-case scenarios for the Joint Force and indeed the world, two large and important states bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse: Pakistan and Mexico.

There has never been any doubt that both these countries have been on the brink of anarchy for some time. Mexico, because of its corruption and abuse of the poor and Pakistan because of its maniacal Islamists.

For years now we have been an enabler to Mexico's wanton disregard for its people. Instead of forcing them to confront and fix their problems, we have subsidized their economy by compromising our laws and sovereignty. American taxpayers have borne the brunt of the cost of Mexican corruption.

Pakistan cannot control its own nation; the federally administered tribal areas being a prime example. It wouldn't matter all that much if they weren't a nuclear power.

What will Obama do to prepare for complete and total chaos on our southern border and a rogue nuclear nation next door to India? Oh, that's right he's going to send Hillary to chat with them.

Clinton Conflict Of Interest OK

Here's a news flash: "Secretary of State nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton intervened at least six times in government issues directly affecting companies and others that later contributed to her husband's foundation, an Associated Press review of her official correspondence found."

What a shock! From the deceit ridden house of Clinton comes news of conflict of interest. It doesn't matter, nothing matters. Americans have become so inured to the moral and ethical wasteland, Washington DC, that they do not even blink an eye at what a short time ago was considered scandalous behavior.

Is That Haniyeh Channeling Baghdad Bob?

While Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was warning the Palestinian maniacs that they face an "iron fist" unless they agree to Israeli terms for an end to war in the Gaza Strip, Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, was being possessed by the spirit of Baghdad Bob.

That's right, he was telling his Muslim muggers that they were "closer to victory." He insisted on an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the opening of blockaded border crossings as part of any truce. What a joke!

Meanwhile Israelis are meeting little resistance as they pummel the Hamas rabble. They are finding tunnels leading into Israeli territory and arms hidden in mosques, proving, once again, Hamas has no interest in peace.

Barack "Scales Back"

In an interview on ABC’s “This Week” program, Obama said reviving the U.S. economy will require scaling back on his campaign promises and require personal sacrifice from all Americans.

Translation, don't try to hold him accountable for any promises he made simply to get elected. Scaling back means not keeping those promises and personal sacrifice means things are not going to get better, in fact they will probably get worse.

Obama doesn't have a clue what to do, he never did. Like Bill Clinton who broke his campaign promise of enacting a middle-class tax cut, Obama will also fail to deliver.

Obama isn't even in office yet and he's already issued almost as many disclaimers as he made promises.

The recession could last for years. Things may be worse than they appear.

That's pretty grim news from the former harbinger of hope. How did we go from "yes we can" to "let's wait and see?" I guess this isn't the America Obama knew.

If Barack keeps making choices like Leon Panetta, things are worse than we thought and they will be for years to come. This guy is hoping to lock in his second term of office early by telling us none of this can be fixed in just four short years, especially if he doesn't have carte blanche to do as he pleases.

Meanwhile, the mad Muslims, Chinese, Hugo Chavez, North Korea will all get a free pass to run amok. For that, Leon Panetta is a marvelous choice.

It's Time To Crush Hamas

Ayman al-Zawahiri, one of Al Qaeda's talking swine, is blaming Barack Obama for the current Gaza conflict.

Only the most twisted individual with the most convoluted logic could possibly blame this incident on anyone other than Hamas. If you're going to fire rockets indiscriminantly into someone's country, then do not be surprised when they fight back. If you're afraid of the horns, don't screw with the bull.

Hamas, true to its terrorist roots in the Muslim Brotherhood, needs to be dealt with in the most savage means possible. This is the only method they understand and those who have no stomach for it will be destroyed.

It Don't Get No Better Than Leon Panetta

Leon Panetta? Bill Clinton's former chief of staff will head the CIA?

Even Dianne Feinstein seemed shocked at the thought of someone so unqualified being chosen, although she seemed more perturbed about not being directly informed by the Obamamites.

With all the external threats facing this nation, what a stroke of mediocrity by our president elect.

Stand by, and prepare to be further underwhelmed.

It's All About Burris

Roland Burris is another example of what's wrong with this nation. No one has integrity anymore.

Burris, knowing full well the stench of deceit wafting from Blagojevich, should have declined the appointment. But, instead, for his own advancement, he is willing to put the whole country through hell. Of course, he is having his cronies inject the race card into the controversy. What were the odds? We have a half black president elect, but those who cling to the past won't let that stop them. No, Burris is being hassled because he's black?

Such is the new era of American politics. It's going to get even better folks!

Happy New Year to all who may still be checking in during my long vacation.

It is now 2009 and I plan to return to regular posting.

There's some good news today as our friends the Israelis sent Nizar Rayan to rendezvous with Satan. Israeli aircraft also hit a mosque described as a "terror hub," a center of operations for Hamas. If only our forces were allowed to do the same.

Anyway, 2009 begins with fireworks and my prediction is it will continue. This promises to be a dangerous year, an omen of a violent decade ahead.
