From The Washington Times comes a report of ten Iraqis with forged passports and documents attempting to enter the US by way of a flight from Peru to Los Angeles. An eleventh suspect is still at large while the ten are being held at Lima's Lurigancho prison.
One of the men arrested is thought to have links to al Qaeda, according to Peruvian National Police Colonel Roberto Lujan. The suspects were not employed during their stay. "Someone was funding them but we do not know who yet," Col. Lujan said.
And still our government refuses to secure our borders. At least the Senate had approved a proposal prohibiting the Transportation Department from spending money on a NAFTA program giving Mexican trucks access to U.S. highways.
