At George Washington University Monday, Stephen Hawking called for a renewed commitment to space exploration. His logic is that “we don’t appear to have been visited by aliens. I’m discounting reports of UFOs. Why would they appear only to cranks and weirdos?"
How can you argue with that? Someone should let Ron Paul know.
Hawking added, "Issuing an insurance policy against abduction by aliens appears to be a pretty safe bet.”
As for the universe, the famed theoretical physicist thinks, “primitive life is very common, but intelligent life is very rare. Some would suggest we have yet to see it on Earth.” And, if you were to read Kos and the Huffington Post exclusively, you'd have to agree.
