Dubai Enforces Arab Boycott Of Israel

Here's a gem from the Jerusalem Post. The parent company of the Dubai firm that's causing the brouhaha over American ports is part of the Arab boycott against Israel. Why would be doing this kind of business with a country that boycotts our ally?

"Yes, of course the boycott is still in place and is still enforced," Muhammad Rashid a-Din, a staff member of the Dubai Customs Department's Office for the Boycott of Israel, told the Post in a telephone interview.

"If a product contained even some components that were made in Israel, and you wanted to import it to Dubai, it would be a problem," he said.

I am becoming increasingly disgusted with our government. They are more concerned about petty disagreements amongst themselves then they are about our security. The inability of these pompous egomaniacs to set aside politics in order to secure our safety is inexcusable. This is a job that cannot be left to inept bureaucrats who have attained positions due to favors or relationships. But, I'm afraid that is who we have been left to rely upon. God help us!
