This time it was a seventh-century Buddhist rock carving in Pakistan's Swat valley, northwest of the capital, Islamabad. Last week, militants blew up about 60 music, video and cosmetics stalls in a market in the valley after their owners ignored warnings to close their businesses that the Islamists deemed un-Islamic.
Six years ago the Taliban blew up the Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan because they were offensive to Islam. Just another few reasons why the islamomaniacs must be destroyed themselves. When are we going to allow our military a free hand in completing that task? Of, course if coalition soldiers had accidentally destroyed or damaged anything it would have made headlines.
