It's Not About Immigration, Obama Tells Mexico

US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce our immigration laws. This was announced after Mexico petitioned the administration not to use the troops to go after illegal immigrants. It's nice to know Barack Obama listens more to Mexico than to the American people.

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, "It's not about immigration." Isn't that interesting. "We have explained the president's announcement to the government of Mexico and they fully understand the rationale behind it," Crowley said.

Isn't that great? I guess when Obama talked about transparency he meant with everyone except the American people. We can't get an explanation about the White House job offer to
Joe Sestak, but Obama can fully explain the movement of American troops on American soil to the Mexican government.

Meanwhile, the Feds have issued a terror alert for the Mexican border with Texas, but no troops are being used to lock that border down. In fact, Obama has ignored pleas for assistance from the governor of Texas for a year and a half. Governor Rick Perry has sent letters to Obama, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano requesting troops. Perry should ask Felipe Calderon to make the request for him.

This administration must go and the sooner, the better.
