The New York Times has an article that says, John Kerry is claiming new evidence about his, "you know, I was in Viet Nam," service. His new evidence seems to be mostly of his own making (journals and movies) and is reminiscent of Nixon's "I can't let you have the actual tapes but I've transcribed everything that's important on them for you" ploy.
Why does John Kerry persist in allowing only certain individuals access to his materials instead of flinging open all the documents to public scrutiny and questioning?
