Beware, Big Brother Is Braying

The House Judiciary Committee, led by the ethically challenged John Conyers, passed a "hate crimes" bill Wednesday night. All 23 Democrats were in favor and all 17 Republicans were opposed. Every Republican attempt to amend the bill was defeated.

CNS reports,
the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1592) would expand the federal definition of hate crimes to include violence against a person because of his or her "actual or perceived" sexual orientation or "gender identity."

Under the bill, people who attack others out of "hatred" for their race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability would be committing a federal offense.

The Democrats rejected many Republican proposed amendments including those that would protect the elderly, the unborn and the military (none of whom are the pets of the "Surrender Party". The Democrat Thought Police also refused to define
"sexual orientation" and "gender identity". Any guesses as to why?

The Democrats for all their rants about free speech, liberalism etc. are really the party of censorship and thought control. They prefer their supporters to respond in zombie like fashion to simple commands, no questions asked. Is this who we want controling the government in 2008? Forbid it, Almighty God.
