The British navy has suspended all boarding operations of cargo vessels in the northern Gulf as a result of Iranian intimidation. It is a sad day, indeed.
The Iranians are the ones who were where they shouldn't have been, making an incursion into Iraqi waters. They illegally seized British military personnel who were there by UN mandate, held them hostage and abused them.
The only review the British should be making is how they will retaliate. I am afraid, however, those days are long gone and the British lion has lost its will to fight.
The US and Australia will continue to board cargo vessels, while the Brits lick their wounds.
