There are some things in the news that, well just really aren't news. Often delivered as if some new revelation, they come as a surprise to no one other than the one having the epiphany.
For example, NewsMax reports that U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill told reporters the "North Koreans apparently have no interest right now in joining the diplomatic process."
When have the North Koreans ever been interested in the diplomatic process? Any time they have negotiated it is because circumstances forced it upon them and they have never kept their side of the bargain.
Saying North Korea is uninterested in the diplomatic process is like saying France surrenders. It is a given, a constant in another wise unpredictable world. That may be worth reminding people of, but it is not news.
