CNN tells us about Police Chief Paul Goward "who was tired of looking around his department and seeing blubber hanging over the belts of some of his officers." He issued a memo to the department asking the "jelly bellies" to get fit. So what happens? He's forced out of his job because some cops took offense at the memo. Obviously some of these looney lawmen are unfit mentally as well as physically.
One of the complaint letters, an anonymous note from one of the fearless fatmen, said, "This letter shows the type of harassment and hostile work environment we have. The chief of police is constantly 'bad talking' us in every way possible and we have had enough of his arrogance."
If wanting your police force to be fit is harassment then too damn bad for these sissies. A cop should be mad of sterner stuff and thank goodness the majority of them elsewhere seem to be. These slackers' names should be posted on a lard ass list and given 90 days to shape up or ship out. And, reinstate Chief Goward!
