Kramer Cartoon Continues
This whole Michael Richards news event is turning out like a Seinfeld episode. First we had the two ridiculous "reverends" Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton brought into the script and now ambulance chaser Gloria Allred has written herself into a scene. The two men upon whom Richards launched his verbal assault want some money for their pain and suffering (no one expects to be insulted in a comedy club). "It is not enough to go on television and say ‘I'm sorry,'" Allred said. (Of course not where's the money, publicity and entertainment in that?)
"We are issuing a challenge to Michael Richards." That would require Richards to meet face-to-face with the two men in front of a judge. "We want the retired judge to make a recommendation on how much Michael Richards should pay to compensate our clients," Allred said.
Al Sharpton, being the kind of "reverend" he is won't accept an apology. Way to go and glorify God with your Christian forgiveness there Al! By the way, exactly what religion and/or church is Al a reverend for?
We're dealing with cartoon characters come to life, from Richards right on through to Allred. I hope this comedy doesn't get renewed for another season.
