Terrorists Crossing From Mexico

The National Intelligence Director, Mike McConnell, is concerned that terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda are paying more attention to the Southwest border as they look for ways to enter the United States -- where their goal is to cause "mass casualties.". In an interview with the El Paso Times he confirmed that terrorists have been crossing the Southwest border, but the numbers and other details are classified. In the interview McConnell, speaking about Iraqis crossing the Mexican border last year, says, "Now some we caught, some we didn't. The ones that get in, what are they going to do? They're going to write home."

It is absolutely outrageous that we are still arguing over building the wall, deporting illegals and tolerating class action lawsuits by the ACLU on behalf of those detained because they're on terrorist watch lists.

Murdering Muslims are hell bent on delivering a devastating blow to this nation and whatever inconveniences we have to put up with, whatever sensibilities we must offend, then so be it. Get over it hand wringing wimps of the left.

The government's terrorist screening database flagged Americans and foreigners as suspected terrorists almost 20,000 times last year. But only a small fraction of those questioned were arrested or denied entry into the United States. This, of course, fueled the privacy paranoids and other critics. Yet, using this same database, U.S. and international authorities prevented numerous attempts at entry into the United States by the Egyptian, Omar Ahmed Ali, who went on in 2005 to commit a suicide bombing in Qatar that killed one British citizen and injured 12. That alone should be sufficient cause to maintain our vigilance.

The amnesty bill has been defeated for the time being, but we must step up the pressure to secure our borders and protect American citizens.
