Another Naughty Word

From pink news of the UK comes some more pc idiocy.

Queen Mary College has issued a report, commissioned by the Department for Constitutional Affairs, that says, "It is important to recognise that the term homosexuality is considered inappropriate by many gays and lesbians today."

As a result, the Lord Chancellor, one Lord Falconer, has ordered that the word "homosexual" be banned from all official documents in his department. Thus, it joins a nasty group of other offensive words, among which are immigrant, Asian, man and wife, mixed race, West Indian and asylum seeker.

Last June, I posted about the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, in Belfast Ireland. They declared that the term "brainstorming" might be offensive to people with epilepsy and those with brain tumors or injuries. They decided to replace "brainstorming with "thought-showers."

Ridiculous? Don't forget, there are those among us who would do the same. The best weapon against these morons is ridicule. We should react to them the same way children at the circus react when the clowns continue to keep coming out of the tiny car. Faced with such absurdity, one can only point and laugh.
