British Security System Successful

Here's an interesting piece from The Scotsman.

Airport-style security systems have been tested on platforms in London stations and judged to be "extremely successful." British Transport Police officers with stop-and-search powers and sniffer dogs used mobile airport-style scanners to check passengers. A two month trial in London resulted in 100 arrests and 68 knives seized.

We need this to make our trains and subways safer an the icing on the cake is it will piss off the ACLU.
