Running For The Global Presidency

Not content with being a citizen of America, Obama has now proclaimed himself a citizen of the world and it seems he's running for world office. He's sponsoring a plan that requires the US president to "develop and implement" a policy to "cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, debt relief" and other programs.

Of course, no mention is made on what the cost to the American taxpayer will be. Why isn't the press asking questions? For instance, why are our elected representatives wasting time on this, but allow our borders to remain unsecured. Why would we send money to others, but let our banks become broke. Why would we take money from American citizens as their energy costs spiral of control?

When will we get some people in Washington who are concerned about their fellow Americans? If Obama is elected, we can expect much more of our money to be funneled into ill conceived liberal global programs, none of which will benefit this nation.
