Illegals May Get Social Security

In case you haven't heard, the Social Security Administration has released a copy of the US/Mexico Toatalization Agreement. After continually refusing to do so, the government was forced to disclose its treachery because of lawsuits filed under the Freedom of Information Act by the TREA Senior Citizens League, a 1.2 million-member nonpartisan seniors advocacy group. This betrayal of American citizens could allow millions of illegal Mexican workers to siphon away billions of dollars from the U.S. Social Security Trust Fund, a fund by the government's own admission that is on shaky financial ground already. According to the Social Security Administration, the fund will begin paying out more than it is taking in by 2017, and will be exhausted by the year 2040.

If Bush approves the agreement, which would be done without a Congressional vote, either House of Congress would have 60 days to disapprove the agreement by voting to reject it. What are the odds Bush will sign it? And, better yet what are the odds a Democrat controlled House and Senate will reject it? Prepare to pay America!

So why is our government so eager to make the fund even less solvent? Why do American citizens have to sue to find out what the government is secretly trying to do with taxpayer money? This is not a national security issue, it is a national disgrace. No wonder there are conspiracy theories about a "North American Union."
