Tunnel Vision In Washington

According to the LA Times, Customs and Border Protection officials have reported that it will take about $2.7 million to fill the tunnels under our border that have been dug by Mexicans to illegally smuggle people and drugs into our country.

Not only is it a big job to fill these rat holes, but some of them run under the private property of US citizens.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif, lefty looney toon, thinks the border agency should find the money in its budget to plug these security risks. "The department should move, find money, and do it," Feinstein said. "This is a huge department with a huge budget. And if they don't have the money, they should tell us, and we will seek to get it in the emergency supplemental."

The question, Dianne, is why should the American taxpayer assume the cost to fix the vandalism inflicted by Mexican nationals? Why are we not giving the bill to the Mexican government or deducting the cost from the billions in aid we give them? Why is there no attempt to recoup the public and private financial loss of American citizens? When will someone in Washington take their oath seriously and, once again, protect and defend these United States?

Hat tip, NewsMax.
