Jefferson's Political Future Put On Ice

Democrat William Jefferson of Louisiana was convicted Wednesday on 11 of the 16 corruption charges against him in a case that included the discovery of $90,000 in his freezer.

This is the same weasel who, after Hurricane Katrina,
used National Guard troops to check on his property and rescue his personal belongings. He did this while New Orleans residents he represented were trying to get rescued from rooftops.

He faces a maximum possible sentence of 150 years in prison, with sentencing tentatively set for October 30. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist and wait and see if he doesn't show up on Obama's pardon list somewhere down the road.
