David Patterson, candidate for New York's all time worst governor, blamed the media for trying to push him out of next year's election. They're racists and "We're not in the post-racial period," Paterson said in an interview.

The truth came from state Senator Kevin Parker a black Democrat from Brooklyn. "He's given the media more than enough to feed on with the incompetence shown in his administration," he said.

This nonsense of using race as a buffer to fend off criticism of your performance has got to end. If anything is preventing a "post-racial" period it is that pathetic ploy. Race had nothing to do with the scathing attacks on Bush, Cheney, Rice, Palin etc. It just goes with the territory and you don't get to avoid it by crying race.

"Seeking Water and Nourishment in More Fertile Grounds"

The LA Times reports that:

"Narcotics agents said Tuesday they had little doubt that the nearly 90,000-acre La Brea fire was started by Mexican drug traffickers who were tending a large, sophisticated marijuana farm planted on the side of a mountain.

The growers apparently fled as firefighters approached the source of the fire and are still at large, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said. Their abandoned site was similar to other illicit plots planted by Mexican nationals and discovered by drug agents in recent years.

Investigators found 30,000 top-grade cannabis plants ranging in height from 2 feet to 6 feet. Stacks of propane tanks, melted irrigation tubing, empty fertilizer canisters, mounds of trash, a torched cooking stove and a semiautomatic rifle were also found at the Los Padres National Forest location, the sheriff and other agents said.

U.S. Forest Service fire investigators believe a propane-fed camp stove sparked the fire Aug. 8.

"This is the trend," Russ Arthur, a special agent for the U.S. Forest Service, said at a Santa Barbara news conference. "I've been involved in hundreds of arrests and all of the suspects have been Mexican nationals."

Drug rings south of the border send workers to plant in densely forested areas of the U.S. in early spring. The workers care for the plants for four to five months, camping out until it is time to harvest, agents said."

Evidence Eludes ElBaradei

Israel says the International Atomic Energy Agency is holding back incriminating evidence of Iran's nuclear weapons program.

British, French, German and US senior officials have recently pressured Mohamed ElBaradei, the IAEA chief, to publish the information, the Haaretz newspaper reports. But, ELBaradei says he does not have any evidence suggesting Iran is developing a nuclear weapons program.

Haaretz reports its sources say that new evidence was submitted to the IAEA in a report signed by the head of the IAEA team in Iran.

He believes the public option is the best way to achieve those goals."

Which is it transparency team? Where does the White House really stand?

Oh, and while they're answering that one perhaps Baghdad Bob could courteously explain his sneering response to Major Garrett's question regarding unsolicited White House emails. It seems Garrett's question had merit despite Bob's look of disdain and now the administration is busy trying to lay the blame on third-party groups and online petitions.

A Teaching Moment for Obama and Gates

What a difference attitude makes.

Bob Dylan was treated like a complete unknown by police in New Jersey when he was found wandering about in Long Branch, about a two-hour drive south of New York City.

Dylan had no identification with him and officers asked him to accompany them. They went to the Ocean Place Resort and Spa, where tour performers with Dylan were staying. The tour staff vouched for Dylan who cooperated with the police throughout the whole incident.

Unlike Obama's pal Gates, Dylan doesn't seem to have berated law enforcement for not knowing who he is nor did he suggest a meeting with anyone's mama.

Isn't it amazing how a little humility and a good attitude can keep the peace?

Retail sales fell in July after two straight months of gains, the government reported Thursday, a drop that surprised economists.

Without car sales from the "Cash for Clunkers," the numbers would have been even worse. Just remember we will sell less cars later because of the Clunker Cash spent now. Then we will get the bill for the clunkers down the road too.

Walmart reported an unexpected decline in its key measure of U.S. sales. Just wait until the back to school retail numbers are all reported. If people aren't shopping at Walmart, they ain't shopping.

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment rose to 558,000 last week, surprising economists who were expecting jobless claims to drop to 545,000 claims. Economists being surprised is no surprise at all.

The prediction here is the economists are in for even greater surprises in the months ahead.

In an interview with the Detroit News Monday, Senator Debbie Stabenow, a really dopey Democrat (which is why she was recently appointed to the Senate Energy Committee), wanted to make it very clear that fighting "global warming" is high on her dumb things to do list.

"Climate change is very real," she parroted while pushing for cap and trade's massive tax increase on her home state's industry. "Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I'm flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes."

Debbie, Americans feel engulfed by your complete stupidity while you're speaking. You are an unmitigated moron. And, if you're reelected after making such an asinine remark then your constituents are even bigger cretins.

Gabby Won't Gab With Voters

I went to a protest outside a Gabby Giffords' office today. This woman is what passes for a representative in my district.

Anyway, we signed petitions to be mailed, not that she will read them. She has no interest in constituents with opposing viewpoints. Her office has made that quite clear.

She is avoiding her constituents because like so many of Obama's lackeys she fears being confronted and made to answer questions about Barack's government health encyclical. Like the rest of these cowards she will make herself as scarce as possible until she can run back to Washington to do her master's bidding.

The last time Americans were taxed to death without representation they revolted. Gabby and her fellow Royalists in hiding would do well to keep that in mind.

Movie Alert

Want to see a really good movie? Hollywood just doesn't make them this good anymore. You'll leave the theater feeling upbeat.

Today my younger daughter and I went to see Julie & Julia. We both agreed it was an excellent movie. She's 17 and interested in becoming a pastry chef, so that accounts for some of her interest. However, Meryl Streep will make you believe she's Julia Child and the movie is so well done and acted you will find it hard to believe 2 hours and 3 minutes can go that fast.

Top White House officials counseled Democratic senators Thursday on coping with public events on health care this summer and promised the party and allies would respond with "twice the force" if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising.

The AFL-CIO announced plans to mobilize labor "activists" to attend town hall meetings in 50 congressional districts this month to counter conservative protesters. See thugs in action.

White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina used the expression "punch back twice as hard" in what seems to be a desire to escalate differences of opinion to the stage of physical attack. Why else would you choose those words?

The administration's desire to escalate to violence seems to be working.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the police showed up toward the end of the forum held by Democrat Representative Russ Carnahan. One conservative activist, interviewed at a local emergency room where he was being treated for injuries, said he was attacked by some of the individuals who were arrested as he passed out "Don't tread on me" flags.

This is what Obama wants. The greater the crisis, the better opportunity to seize more power.

Section 163 of the health care bill states that the government would be allowed real-time access to a person's bank records - including direct access to bank accounts for electronic fund transfers.

Even-though the bill mentions privacy aspects, the fact remains that if approved, Obama's health care plan will give the government permission at any time to your personal bank records.

Arizona Congressman John Shadegg says people have the right to be concerned.

"It's pretty Orwellian, it certainly gets the government pretty darn deeply involved in private matters in our lives."

The Kennicott Conspiracy

Jefferson's Political Future Put On Ice

Democrat William Jefferson of Louisiana was convicted Wednesday on 11 of the 16 corruption charges against him in a case that included the discovery of $90,000 in his freezer.

This is the same weasel who, after Hurricane Katrina, used National Guard troops to check on his property and rescue his personal belongings. He did this while New Orleans residents he represented were trying to get rescued from rooftops.

He faces a maximum possible sentence of 150 years in prison, with sentencing tentatively set for October 30. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist and wait and see if he doesn't show up on Obama's pardon list somewhere down the road.

Another Obama Obfuscation

Regardless of how good you think Bill Clinton is at throwing the bs around, no rational person can believe he brokered a deal for the release of 2 women from North Korea. Also, no rational person can accept the White House bs, as shoveled by Baghdad Bob Gibbs, that this was a "solely private mission to secure the release of two Americans."

"Clinton expressed words of sincere apology to Kim Jong Il for the hostile acts committed by the two American journalists against the DPRK after illegally intruding into it," North Korea's state-run KCNA news agency reported.

KCNA also said "the meetings had candid and in-depth discussions on the pending issues between the DPRK and the U.S. in a sincere atmosphere and reached a consensus of views on seeking a negotiated settlement of them."

The report said Clinton then conveyed a message from Obama "expressing profound thanks for this and reflecting views on ways of improving the relations between the two countries."

Why then did Baghdad Bob Gibbs tell reporters before the announced agreement that Clinton was not carrying any message from Obama.?

Gibbs also claimed Clinton last spoke with Obama during a White House visit in March.

As for an apology from Slick Willie..."That is not true," Hillary Clinton said. "That did not occur."

Personally, I find north Korea easier to believe on this one.

North Korea, Lock Up Your Women

Slick Willie Clinton is in Pyongyang on a mission to negotiate the release of two American journalists. Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire, these women are probably safer in a North Korean prison then they will be if left alone with Bill.

White House spokesman Baghdad Bob Gibbs denied that Clinton was carrying any message from the Obama administration which means of course Slick Willie has a message from the Joker for Ding Dong Il.

Time to Tell the Truth About Taxing the Middle Class

CNS News reports that on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” Sunday, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner revealed President Obama’s next move: a tax increase on middle-class Americans.

Are you shocked? The lies and deception of this president continue to mount. Still, there is no outcry from the media lackeys. Read this exchange.

Stephanopoulos asked: “The president has said that taxes won't go up for any Americans earning under $250,000. But it doesn't appear he's going to be able to keep that promise if you're going to bring the deficits down.”

“George, again,” said Geithner, "we can't make these judgments yet about exactly what it's going to take and how we're going to get there. But the very important thing, and no one is going to care about this more than the president of the United States, is for people to understand that we do not have a choice as a country. That if we want an economy that's going to grow in the future, people have to understand we have to bring those deficits down. And it's going to be difficult, hard for us to do. And the path to that is through health care reform. But that's necessary but not sufficient. We're going to do some other things as well.”

Stephanopoulos then tried to get Geithner to rule out a tax increase, which Geithner would not do.

“So revenues are on the table as well?” asked Stephanopoulos.

“Again, we're not at the point yet where we're going to make a judgment about what it's going to take,” said Geithner.

“But you're not ruling it out. You can't rule it out,” said Stephanopoulos.

“Well, I think that what the country needs to do is understand we're going to have to do what it takes,” said Geithner. “We're going to do what's necessary.”

The hands of the Obama gang are in your pockets and soon will be in every orifice of your body. They will steal the gold from your teeth if they can. They will take every nickel you have worked and sweated to make. That money will be used to support illegal welfare recipients like Barack's auntie and other parasites who'd rather not work for a living.

During his speech at a National Press Club luncheon, House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers, the doddering Democrat from Michigan, asked what was the point of lawmakers reading the health care bill before they vote on it.

“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill,’” said Conyers.

“What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”

Why do we have someone this ignorant heading up the House Judiciary is a better question.

When are we going to cleanse our government of worthless incompetents like Conyers is also a better question.

Making America Healthy

After weeks of secretive talks, three Democrats and three Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee were reportedly close to a health care compromise.

There should be no health care bill passed that congress is exempt from. It is time to start making the self appointed aristocracy of America susceptible to the illnesses it generates.

These pompous elitists who refuse to even read the bills they vote for must be reined in if America is to survive.

The way to make America healthy is to vote these asses out of office beginning with the next election.

The Obama Overseers are at it again. This time they want the Republicans to use the phrase "public option"instead of "government run" when referring to Barack's forced health care edict.

The Franking Commission, which is authorized by law to oversee mail and other communications between members of Congress and their constituents that is paid for with federal funds, sent an e-mail to John Carter's staff requesting that the wording in the message be changed.

“Why does the Franking Commission have the right to prevent me from freely speaking what I think my folks back home ought to hear and instead tell me I have to speak what the president said last night?” Carter said, referring to President Barack Obama’s televised press conference at the White House last Wednesday.

The truth is Barack and the rest of the Borg cannot stand differing view points.Just listen to the buzzing of the Democrat drones.

Obama Fails At Damage Control

This keeps getting better.

At a new press conference Obama said, "Because this has been ratcheting up -- and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting it up -- I want to make clear that in my choice of words, I think, I unfortunately... gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge police department or Sergeant Crowley specifically."

Ya think. What is it Barack? Was he acting stupidly or not?

"And I could have calibrated those words differently," he said.

But, you didn't and you said what you meant to say which would be just fine with your friends who are radicals, agitators and miscreants. You forgot not all Americans hate the police and other authority figures.

"I continue to believe, based on what I have heard, that there was an overreaction in pulling Professor Gates out of his home to the station," Obama continued.

It doesn't look like Gates was pulled out of his home. It's more like his hate drove him to follow the police officer outside where he continued to berate him for doing his job. It seems Gates thinks he's above being questioned, just like our president.

Obama wants this incident to go away quickly because it shows his own racism and prejudice. Now, that's a teachable moment!

Obama, Gates, Gibbs and Cambridge

Two weeks before the Barack Obama launched his presidential campaign, he paid parking tickets he received while attending Harvard Law School. He received 17 parking tickets in Cambridge between 1988 and 1991. The only two he paid while he was a student he paid late. Once the spotlight was on him, he decided to do the right thing.

Records show that Obama received the tickets between Oct. 5, 1988, and Jan. 12, 1990, for violations including parking in a resident-only area, blocking a bus stop, and failing to put money in meters.

Barack probably thinks the Cambridge police ticketed him because he was black and they were acting stupidly then too. And now, these same Cambridge police must be abusing his buddy Gates.

But, more to the point Baghdad Bob Gibbs made it quite clear what the administration's view of law enforcement is when he dismissed a suggestion that the current backlash from police groups could be troublesome for the White House. "I think the Fraternal Order of Police endorsed McCain, if I'm not mistaken." Gibbs remarked snidely.

So there you have it. This administration is only for those Obama considers friends, like Henry Louis Gates Jr.

More Tales Than Scheherazade

Barack loves making up stuff to try and make himself look like a good American. This time he was with astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin in the Oval Office July 20 to commemorate the historic Apollo 11 landing.

"The country continues to draw inspiration from what you've done. I should note, just personally, I grew up in Hawaii, as many of you know, and I still recall sitting on my grandfather's shoulders when those capsules would land in the middle of the Pacific and they'd get brought back and we'd go out and we'd pretend like they could see us as we were waving at folks coming home. And I remember waving American flags and my grandfather telling me that the Apollo mission was an example of how Americans can do anything they put their minds to."

Sounds good doesn't it. There's just one little problem. The Apollo 11 splashdown took place on July 24, 1969. Guess where Obama was. He was living in Indonesia and not with his grandfather. So his tale is another fabrication, another lie, another pathetic attempt to paint himself as an all-American child.

If he isn't trying to connect his parents marriage to marches in Selma Alabama that took place years later, or having his relatives liberate Auschwitz when they weren't there, then he's running to the beach in Hawaii all the way from Jakarta, Indonesia. What an amazing life our president has had. Too bad none of it's real. And neither is the great and mighty wizard Ozbama.

Science Czar, Holdren the Terrible

Here's a piece by Jim Pinkerton on Obama's Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, John Holdren. It reports that Holdren in the past has called for forced abortions, mass sterilizations and mandatory population controls.

Holdren along with two other authors of the book "Ecoscience" wrote: "To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people." I wonder who gets to decide who those fewer people are. Their plans included forcing single women to abort their babies or put them up for adoption; implanting sterilizing capsules in people when they hit puberty; and spiking water reserves and staple foods with a chemical that would make people sterile.

To help achieve their goals, they formulated a "world government scheme" they called the Planetary Regime, which would administer the world's resources and human growth, and they discussed the development of an "armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force" to which nations would surrender part of their sovereignty.

And Obama put this nut in a position of power and the Senate confirmed him. Folks we're in deep trouble.

Don't Confuse Obama With the Facts

"I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played," Obama said Wednesday night while taking questions after a White House news conference.

Yet he can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "acted stupidly" in arresting a man after a confrontation at the man's home. How can he do that? Easy, the man was black so of course the white cop is at fault. Who's the racist now? Obviously our president is doing his own profiling, but the media doesn't seem to mind.

A president of all the people would be above such comments, but it seems we have a president of only some of the people now. Little by little the resentful and bitter Obama emerges and he plans to make America pay for his bitterness.

President Obama is going to try and toss another anvil to the drowning US economy. Now, they must turn their personal health decisions and those of their families over to him.

No teleprompter can possibly be good enough to feed that tripe to an already doubtful public. Watch closely however, for the veneer of fakery is beginning to crack. You can see it in the eyes narrowing and the smile turning sardonic. The real angry man is about to break through because Barack does not like to be questioned or asked to justify his decisions. Prime Minister Netanyahu is making things clear as possible for the Obama crowd. After the State Department called in Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren last week to warn Netanyahu’s government not to permit a 20-apartment building on a piece of privately owned land in Jerusalem, there was a need to spell things out for the president who claims he doesn't believe in interfering in the internal affairs of other nations.

It has been the policy of all Israeli governments, Netanyahu said, that “united Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people and of the State of Israel.”

It is obvious Obama has a different set of rules when it comes to Israel. Like Jimmy Carter and Jeremiah Wright he seems to think the problem is the Jews. I wonder if he has relatives in Argentina.

Taxpayers Provide Casino Conference

A Social Security Administration "motivational management conference" held at a Phoenix resort last week cost $700,000. This was sanctioned even though Social Security will start paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in 2016 and the program's trust fund will be depleted by 2037.

Costs for the conference at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa included airfare, hotel entertainment, dancers, motivational speakers, and food. Dancers? Entertainment? An after-hours casino trip? Family members staying at the hotel?

Proof once again that our government is out of control and has no regard for the hard earned tax dollars it robs from American citizens. Now, they want billions more for universal health care which will include, I'm sure, important "conferences' for the inept that are hired to administer that program. How much longer will we permit these outrages to continue?

A friend just sent me this bit of advice. I thought I'd pass it on.

If you are bothered by occasional or frequent constipation, look in the mirror and repeat the following phrase three times in succession when symptoms occur:

Franken Follies Commence

The Democrats placed their newest buffoon, Al Franken, on the Judiciary Committee. The loud mouthed jackass didn't wait a minute to begin his obnoxious braying.

"One of the things that I think is of tremendous value in these confirmation hearings is not just weighing the qualifications of the nominee ... but also as a sort of education for the American people," he said. "I’ll represent the American citizen watching the confirmation hearings ... more than anybody on the panel."

If asinine Al thinks he is representative of the American people, he is dumber than he looks.

He told Sotomayor that she is “the most experienced Supreme Court nominee in 100 years.” Did anyone test Al on his knowledge of former nominees? I'll bet he couldn't name a dozen without assistance. And even if he could what qualifies Franken to determine the value of anyone's legal experience?

Franken is just another fool foisted upon us by the liberals. Given time he will do what he does best, make an ass of himself.

The federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time in history. That's nothing folks. Thanks to the ongoing misreading, misunderstanding and outright ineptitude of the Obama boys it could well grow to nearly $2 trillion by this fall.

Government spending continues to rise along with unemployment which in turn destroys the tax base the economy relies on.

How long must we endure the Obama Biden vaudeville team? I don't think we can survive another three and a half years of slapstick stimuli. Get the hook and pull these buffoons off the stage.

According to the NY Post Sunstein supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.

Little by little, every day the Obama boys are chipping away at our freedom. Yet, not one word of protest comes from those who feigned concern over our anti-terrorism laws. Where is the concern for freedom of speech?

Unemployment is on the rise while the economy continues to slow down. Retail sales fell in June, with clothing stores hit hardest.

Where is the stimulus? This stimulus isn't like "where's Waldo" in that it's actually there and you have to look for it. This stimulus is like "where's the beef" because it's missing completely, nonexistent.

The administration is so unsure of what's happening it has sent out it's rodeo clown, Jughead Joe Biden, in an attempt to distract people from the issues.

Things are going to worsen significantly. The back to school sales will be a disaster as parents use what they have for necessities like food and mortgages. Job loss and unemployment will continue unchecked. Meanwhile back at the White House, the social engineering will continue unabated.

Once again, ridiculous coverage of celebrities has dominated the media. The situation in Iran was abandoned because Michael Jackson succumbed to his life style. North Korea took a back seat to the illness and death of Farrah Fawcett and the cap and trade bill was all but ignored in favor of the sexual shenanigans of Governor Sanford.

What we value is an accurate portrayal of who we are and unfortunately for this nation we seem to value the shallow and superficial. Is it any wonder we are in the shape we're in?

If the proposed health care change is so wonderful then everyone, Congress and the president included, need to be subject to its rules. As long as those who make the rules exempt themselves from them, you know there is something wrong.

We should never give up our freedom to choose, to voice our opinion and to make our own decisions about something as personal as health care.

Finally, Obama has his dialogue with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who compared him on Thursday to George W. Bush.

Reacting to Obama's comment Tuesday that he is "appalled and outraged" by crackdowns in Iran, Ahmadinejad said, "Mr Obama made a mistake to say those things ... our question is why he fell into this trap and said things that previously Bush used to say."

"Do you want to speak with this tone? If that is your stance then what is left to talk about... I hope you avoid interfering in Iran's affairs and express your regret in a way that the Iranian nation is informed of it," he added.

Janet Napolitano, who for years kept the state of Arizona a safe right of way for illegals, is now giving the entire nation the fruits of her ineptitude.

She is killing the spy satellite program at the Department of Homeland Security. The program would have provided federal, state and local officials with extensive access to spy-satellite imagery to assist with emergency response and other domestic-security needs, such as identifying where ports or border areas are vulnerable to terrorism.

Sotomayor and the Santeria Sympathy Decision

That judicial sage Sotomayor told the State of New York in 1994 that it must allow prison inmates who practice Santeria to wear multi-colored beads.

In the case of Campos v. Coughlin , Sotomayor told state prison officials that their fear of a growing gang movement within the prison was less important than the right of Santeria faithful to wear religious beads. I'm sure that it was less important to her since she didn't work at the prison.

Let the Sanctions Continue

Oh, how the world loves us now. Obama, the ombudsman for the globe, has endeared us to all by apologizing for our sins, both real and imagined.

So why, according to Japanese intelligence officials, is North Korea planning to launch a long-range ballistic missile toward Hawaii on American Independence Day?

The U.S. has announced that it has deployed anti-missile defenses around Hawaii consisting of a ground-based mobile missile system and radar.

"Without telegraphing what we will do, I would just say... we are in a good position, should it become necessary, to protect Americans and American territory," Defense Secretary Gates offered. He won't telegraph our plans because we have none. The intention is to avoid any confrontation and allow this insanity to continue. In three to five years when these psychos can actually threaten the west coast of the US and we will be as unprepared as ever. Our good position then will be bent over kissing our butts goodbye.

Next, we have the North Korean ship that may possibly be carrying illegal weapons. Will we ask to inspect it? If we do and it refuses to be boarded, what are our options? We can order it to port. What if it refuses? According to the UN resolution, if a country refuses to order a vessel to a port for inspection, it would be in violation of the resolution and the country licensing the vessel would face possible sanctions by the Security Council. We all know how fearful North Korea is of UN sanctions.

You have to wonder who the real insane leaders are, the ones who act out or those who enable them.
