Carter 's Incontinent Mouth

Why is a former president of the United States undermining his own country ? This pathetic old fool, goes to a foreign country and then denigrates us from their shores.
Can we establish an asylum for former presidents who can no longer control themselves? There, we could stow Jimmy, until that merciful moment when we commit him to a caisson ride down Pennnsylvania avenue.

This pea brained, peanut farmer has no filter between that brain and his mouth. If only there were some sort of oral depends to catch the logorrhea spraying from his pie hole.

BIRMINGHAM, England -- Former President Carter said Saturday the detention of terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay Naval base was an embarrassment and had given extremists an excuse to attack the United States.

Carter also criticized the U.S.-led war in Iraq as "unnecessary and unjust."

"I think what's going on in Guantanamo Bay and other places is a disgrace to the U.S.A.," he told a news conference at the Baptist World Alliance's centenary conference in Birmingham, England. "I wouldn't say it's the cause of terrorism, but it has given impetus and excuses to potential terrorists to lash out at our country and justify their despicable acts."

Carter said, however, that terrorist acts could not be justified, and that while Guantanamo "may be an aggravating factor ... it's not the basis of terrorism."

Justice For The Justices

This is great. It's about time these judges suffer the fruits of their own inept rulings. The Supreme Court justices seem to see their role as that of Olympian gods, holding the fate of Americans between their fickle fingers and subjecting us all to their personal ideological whims.
The constitution has already been written successfully. What we need now are caretakers not remodelers.

PLAINFIELD - If the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire and its allies have their way, someday two stone monuments will stand on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer's Plainfield property.

Short of that, the Libertarians hope to cause Breyer some discomfort for his vote last month on a controversial court decision freeing cities and towns to take land and turn it over to private developers. They are planning a petition drive asking Plainfield voters to take Breyer's 167-acre vacation retreat by eminent domain at their 2006 Town Meeting. After ousting the Breyers, the Libertarians would create "Constitution Park," to include one monument commemorating the U.S. Constitution and another for the New Hampshire Constitution.

"The point is: What goes around, comes around," said Mike Lorrey, the Libertarian Party's vice chairman in New Hampshire's Second Congressional District. "This is a way of saying, 'You're going to be held to your own standard.'"

The effort follows up a California businessman's proposal to test that court's decision by taking Justice David Souter's Weare farm by eminent domain and replacing it with a "Lost Liberty Hotel." Lorrey said that Edward Naile, president of the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers, has recruited some Plainfield residents to seek signatures for the petition involving Breyer's land.

Another Plus For America, If Cheney Would Run

Helen Thomas has said she will kill herself if Dick Cheney runs for president. Wow, that's tempting. Would she be willing to up the ante and take a few more of her ilk with her? It could be a journalistic Jonestown. We'll mix up a batch of poisoned latte and on the six o'clock news, while Dan Rather gets instructions from Edward R. Murrow, they can lift off to that great gray lady in the sky. It is then that Dan will finally learn what the frequency is and why Kenneth is his code name. Courage!

Please use the comments section to nominate your choices to join Helen in her gift to America. Thank you!

Small Plane Penetrated Discovery's No Fly Zone

Was this just a dumb mistake or was the pilot attempting to interfere with the launch? It will be interesting to see what happens when they finally track this guy down.

The pilot of a small plane that penetrated the no-fly zone around Kennedy Space Center shortly before the space shuttle's launch Tuesday disappeared after being forced to land, Air Force officials said.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating, the officials said Thursday.

The civilian Piper Cub had gotten within 20 miles of the launch site just three minutes before Discovery's liftoff before being intercepted by two Air Force F-16s.

That means the small plane had penetrated half of the 40-mile temporary no-fly radius set up by the FAA.

The fighters were flying security patrol and deployed three flares to get the pilot's attention, the officials said.

The fighters escorted the plane to an airport about 50 miles north of Kennedy Space Center, they said.

When law enforcement officers got to the airport, the aircraft was on the ground, but the pilot was gone, the officials said.

No Religious Tests Allowed

I think we need to administer a test on the Constitution before you are allowed to hold or even run for public office. Several of our moonbat senators, Duplicitous Dicky Durbin for example, do not seem to have a grasp of the obvious. The following is from our Constitution.
Article. VI. Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

What part of "no religious test shall ever be required" don't they understand? Durbin needs to go!

Catholic League president William Donohue criticized Sen. Dick Durbin's attack on Supreme Court nominee John Roberts: "After Senator John Cornyn laid to rest on Monday any concerns that Judge Roberts would allow his religious views to affect his rulings on the bench, we thought this matter was closed. We were wrong: Senator Durbin told a CNN correspondent yesterday that he 'needs to look at everything, including the nominee's faith... .' Now match this up with what Durbin has said previously:
Speaking about questions regarding the religious beliefs of a nominee for the federal bench, Durbin said on April 15, 2005, 'By the Constitution and by law, we cannot even ask that question, nor would I.'
On June 11, 2003, Durbin took umbrage at Circuit Court nominee William Pryor when Pryor merely noted the historical relationship between Christianity and the nation's founding: 'Do you not understand,' he said, that this 'raises concerns of those who don't happen to be Christian that you are asserting an agenda of your own, religious belief of your own inconsistent with separation of church and state?'
After taking flack for his remark, Durbin said on July 23, 2003 that members of the Senate Judiciary Committee ought 'to expunge references to religion from this point forward.' He added, hypocritically, 'This is beneath the dignity of the committee.'
The very next day, July 24, he reversed himself, saying, 'If Senator [Jeff] Sessions is suggesting that anyone who has a religious belief should never be questioned about it, even if it has political implications, I just think [that] is wrong-headed.'
On July 31, he reversed himself again, this time having the audacity to co-sponsor a resolution saying, 'It shall not be in order to ask any question of the nominee relating to the religious affiliation of the nominee.'
"Durbin's duplicity is mind-boggling. But of greater concern is his determination to force Roberts to submit to a religious test."

Terrorist Sentence Should Always Be Death

This Algerian swine will be free to make more attempts on innocent lives. We need a law in place that anyone plotting, aiding in or carrying out acts of terrorism against this nation shall receive a mandatory sentence of death. The fact that they may be unsuccessful in their attempt should carry no weight, only intent needs to be proven. Then we need to reinstate the gallows to mete out the sentence. Film at eleven, Al - Jazeera.

As for Judge Coughenour, the reason we need military tribunals is because simpering spineless judges like him think this is actually justice. Prosecutors had asked for a 35 year sentence.

SEATTLE, Washington (AP) -- The man convicted of plotting to blow up the Los Angeles airport on the eve of the millennium was sentenced Wednesday to 22 years in prison. Ahmed Ressam got a lighter sentence than prosecutors had requested, reflecting his cooperation in telling international investigators about the workings of terror camps in Afghanistan But Ressam, 38, could have received a shorter sentence had he not stopped talking to investigators in early 2003. Prosecutors argued that his recalcitrance has jeopardized cases against two of his co-conspirators In sentencing Ressam, U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour said he hoped to balance U.S. resolve to punish potential terrorist acts with Ressam's cooperation. Coughenour also said he hoped to send a message that the U.S. court system works in terrorism cases "We did not need to use a secret military tribunal, detain the defendant indefinitely or deny the defendant the right to counsel. ... Our courts have not abandoned the commitment to the ideals that set this nation apart," he said.Ressam could be out of prison in 13 to 14 years with credit for time served and potential reductions for good behavior, but then will almost certainly be deported.

Attacks On Border Patrol Increasing

Not only is the increase of violence disconcerting but the fact that we have tied the hands of our law enforcement is equally troubling. We need to have our border control in full aggressive mode, engaging, chasing and bringing to ground each and every potential criminal they see. Anyone crossing our border illegally is a criminal. A number of them are very dangerous. Why won't our government protect us?

Assaults against U.S. Border Patrol agents along a 260-mile stretch of the Arizona/Mexico border known as the Tucson sector, a desolate expanse of territory that is the nation’s major artery for illegal immigration, are on a record clip. In the first eight months of fiscal year 2005 there have been 163 recorded acts of violence against border agents compared with 118 for all of fiscal year 2004, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

The violence “is indicative of the desire by the type of people coming here” to protect their illicit cargo, said Shawn Moran, a border patrol agent and San Diego local union official. “[President] Bush likes to say just good hearted people are trying to come across our borders,” Moran said, “but a number of them are hardened criminals with a criminal past and they are willing to do anything it takes.”

The State Department also is warning U.S. citizens about the violence, alerting the public about “the continuing unsettled public security situation” along the border. The warning says there is “violent criminal activity fueled by a war between criminal organizations struggling for control of the lucrative narcotics trade” and that the “criminals are armed with an impressive array of weapons.”But union officials and agents said that they are often frustrated by internal policies that keep them from taking aggressive action against illegal immigrants.

McCubbin said that because of personnel shortages, the border patrol has shifted from active patrols to a policy of “high visibility” in which agents are basically static or in “watch mode” until an actual incursion is noted and they have to respond.

Some agents complained that they are rarely allowed to pursue illegal immigrants, regardless of the situation.

“If anyone runs from us, we don’t chase them,” said one California-based border patrol agent who requested anonymity. “We could have information that there is a nuke in the back of a van but we don’t have authority to chase them,” the agent said. “We’ve had radiation pagers go off and we’re still not allowed [by our supervisors] to give chase,” he said. “They are scared to death something will go wrong and there will be a huge liability.”

California Measures Cow Pollution

Personally, I think they should do their testing in Congress. I'll bet Ted Kennedy puts out more pollution than a fleet of old cars in need of valve jobs.

Cows are being kept inside 'bio-bubbles' so scientists can measure gas emissions.

The University of California project will be used to help write the state's first air quality regulations for dairies.

Cows are placed inside the bio-bubbles where monitors measure the gases that they emit.

It's been estimated that an average herd of cows causes more pollution than a car.

Chavez, Castro & Glover Comedy Special Hits The Air

Chavez and Castro the Tweedledum and Tweedledumber of Latin America go to the airwaves assisted by none other than Danny Clarabell Glover. They should entitle their show "Tres Pendejos". I will never spend a dime on anything Glover, that ignorant communist piece of garbage, can derive income from. I hope he gets crushed by the "giant of the north."
It is not enough that the long suffering, freedom loving people of Cuba have had to endure Castro's cruelty, now Chavez and Glover want to subjugate the rest of Latin America. As for the Nobel Peace Prize, if Arab rat Arafat could get one, well, enough said.

A new TV station backed by Venezuela's government began transmitting Sunday in various countries across Latin America, carrying praise by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the American actor Danny Glover and others.

The Telesur network, which organizers call a Latin alternative to large media outlets like CNN, was being seen in Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil and Cuba as well as Venezuela, Chavez said. "This is part of an awakening of our peoples," Chavez said by phone to a televised inaugural ceremony in Caracas. Chavez, a close ally of Cuban leader Fidel Castro, called the channel a key step toward regional integration. The station, funded by Venezuela and also backed by Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba, has drawn concern in the U.S. Congress, where House members last week approved a measure to transmit radio and television broadcasts to Venezuela to ensure citizens receive "accurate news." Chavez has ridiculed the U.S. plan and has said Venezuela is prepared to jam the broadcasts. He also said Venezuela would prevent any signals from interfering with Telesur's programs.

The president likened the satellite channel to the cooperative oil projects Petrosur and Petrocaribe, aimed at sharing Venezuela's fuel with neighboring countries under preferential terms. He said U.S. leaders, through seeking conflict with his government, want "to assure themselves" Venezuelan oil. "We want to keep supporting the American people to the point that we can, supplying them energy, but not only to large U.S. companies, or the established power in Washington," said Chavez, whose country remains a major supplier to the United States.

Some critics call Telesur a way to spread anti-American propaganda in South America - an accusation strongly denied by Venezuelan Information Minister Andres Izarra, the station's president. "It's an initiative against imperialism," Izarra said. "That shouldn't be interpreted, however, as an initiative against the American people."

The station, headquartered in Caracas, is to offer news programs, opinion shows, documentaries and Latin American films. It is to be on the air four hours a day at first, and eventually 24 hours a day. Test transmissions began two months ago. Some in Colombia have already expressed concern about promotional footage that used a protest scene in which Colombian rebel leader Manuel Marulanda briefly appeared. But director Aram Aharonian of Uruguay has brushed aside such criticism, saying the channel will support independent journalism.

Glover, a station board member and strong supporter of Chavez, said the station has a key role acting as a counterbalance to the "giant to the north." Other advisory board members include the Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Perez Esquivel and the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano.

Fonda Being A Traitor

Too young to have actively supported Stalin and Hitler, Jane has chosen to make her mark with Ho Chi Minh and Abu Musab Al Zarqawi. A lover of ruthless killers who disguise themselves as freedom fighters, Jane admits that she has restrained herself too long and must now board the bus to treason town once again. So, she is back where she belongs, arm in arm with the Michael Moores and Dick Durbins of the world, card carrying members of the Benedict Arnold Society.

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Actress and activist Jane Fonda says she intends to take a cross-country bus tour to call for an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.
"I can't go into any detail except to say that it's going to be pretty exciting," she said.
Fonda said her anti-war tour in March will use a bus that runs on "vegetable oil." She will be joined by families of Iraq war veterans and her daughter.
They plan to return to the Santa Fe area, where she was promoting her book, "My Life So Far" on Saturday.
Prompted by a question from the audience, Fonda said war veterans that she has met on a nationwide book tour have encouraged her to break her silence on the Iraq war.
"I've decided I'm coming out," she said.
Hundreds of people in the audience cheered loudly when Fonda announced her intentions to join the anti-Iraq war movement.
"I have not taken a stand on any war since Vietnam," she said. "I carry a lot of baggage from that."
Fonda incited controversy in July 1972 when she was photographed sitting on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun while on a tour of the country to drum up support to end the war.

The Traitors Who Misrepresent Us

The government isn't worried that our laws are being broken, that our sovereignty is violated or that our security is in peril. No, all they're worried about is currying favor with minority voters.

Telling us, the majority that our votes and opinions count for naught, the Republicans and Democrats would rather base their reaction to illegal immigration around garnering more votes with those who support the breaking of existing laws. Everyone of these traitorous sellouts needs to be tarred and feathered and run out of Washington. Most of our representatives on both sides of the aisle make me want to puke.

WASHINGTON - Worried that the tone of the immigration debate is pushing Hispanics away from the Republican Party, the White House is working with political strategists to create a broad new coalition of business groups and immigrant advocates to back a reform plan President Bush could promote in Congress and to minority voters in the 2006 elections.

The strategists say Mr. Bush is planning to make immigration a top-tier priority as early as this fall, once the current focus on a Supreme Court vacancy has passed. The push is being planned to coincide with next year's campaigns for the House and Senate, in which Hispanic voters could be critical in several states, and it is part of a broader White House strategy to forge a long-lasting majority by drawing more minority voters.

SF Supervisors Disrespect US Military

This is how much the liberals hate America. They have rejected a WWII memorial because of their gay and anti-war agendas. How sad for us that these people are voted into positions of power and when they act disgracefully are not even held to account.
I will never visit this city and I hope it is skipped over by tourists more times than its own crosswalks.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors today voted 3-8 against a resolution urging the San Francisco Congressional Delegation to support the permanent berthing of the USS Iowa as a museum at the Port of San Francisco.

The congressional delegation secured $3 million in 2000 to move the USS Iowa, which was present at the signing of the treaty between Japan and the U.S. in 1945, from Rhode Island to the Bay Area, the proposed resolution says.

A study commissioned by the Port of San Francisco concluded that the ship would attract more than 500,000 people during its first year at the waterfront, according to the proposed resolution.

But Tom Ammiano said today he didn't want the ship berthed in San Francisco because of the military's treatment of gays and lesbians and its "don't ask, don't tell'' policy.

"It's dehumanizing,'' Ammiano said. "You are not allowed to be a gay or lesbian in the military except when there is a war and then when the war ends, you are kicked out.''

Supervisors Ross Mirkarimi and Chris Daly also spoke out against the resolution, citing their opposition to the US occupation in Iraq.

"I am sad to say I am not proud of the history of the United States of America since the 1940s,'' Daly said.

Supervisors Sean Elsbernd, Fiona Ma and Michela Alioto-Pier voted in favor of the resolution.

Anita Hill, Talking Trash

So, I guess Anita Hill is saying that we should choose justices for the Supreme Court based on race, ethnicity and gender rather than merit. Adding this to her attacks against Clarence Thomas one might conclude she just doeasn't want conservative males on the court.
Although she admits she knows little about Roberts' ideology, the fact he is a white male is enough to exclude him, in her opinion. If this kind of prejudicial tripe were coming from a white male, there would be hell to pay but Anita Hill will get a free pass from the press.

Anita Hill, the woman who opposed Clarence Thomas for the Supreme Court by alleging sexual harassment, is now blasting President Bush's selection of John Roberts, claiming it's a step back for diversity and fears it could lead to "an all-white-male Supreme Court."

Did Durbin Leak Details Damaging US Security?

Hold onto your hats! If this is true, including all of its implications, Durbin shouldn't be able to get away with a half-assed apology this time. Of course, the MSM will try to bury it and keep the light on Rove. This story will need watching, stay tuned.

The Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into whether Democratic Senators Dick Durbin, Jay Rockefeller and Ron Wyden leaked details about a secret "black ops" CIA satellite program last December in a move that may have seriously compromised national security, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Jed Babbin said on Saturday.

"The CIA made a request to the Justice Department to investigate and possibly bring criminal charges against these three [senators]," Babbin told WABC Radio host Monica Crowley. "My information is that investigation is ongoing."

"The formal request for a leaks investigation would target people who described sensitive details about a new generation of spy satellites to The Washington Post, which published a page-one story about the espionage program Saturday [Dec. 11, 2004]," a Justice Department official told The Associated Press at the time. But the same official told the AP that Justice "has not decided whether to investigate."

"The fact of the matter is that [Durbin, Rockefeller and Wyden] divulged something that was above and beyond top secret and frankly, they probably blew the strategy and the hundreds of millions of dollars that were being spent to pursue it," Babbin told Crowley. "The acknowledgement of [the "black ops" program's] existence is not even proper and the acknowledgement of them and the details of them can very well damage national security," Babbin added.

Asked if he thought the three Senate Democrats should have their security clearances revoked for the duration of the leak probe, the former Defense Department official said: "Absolutely and forthwith. I mean, they should have been revoked at the time of the leak." "There's really not much doubt about the leak having occurred," Babbin told Crowley. "It's in the press records, it's in the Congressional record. We know what they did." "The only question," he explained, "is how much damage was done by the leak. And that's part of the criminal investigation right now - to do a damage assessment, to figure out how much this is going to cost us strategically and militarily."

California Donks Want Legal Status For Illegals

At a time when national security is endangered, why would you want to tie up the time and resources of the Immigration department, so you could reward law breakers by granting them legal status? Once, again the left shows how out of touch it is with the wishes of the majority.

More than 200,000 Central Americans in Los Angeles and nationwide could receive green cards under a bill introduced Friday by Rep. Howard Berman, D-Van Nuys. The legislation would allow men and women who came from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras before Dec. 1, 1995, to apply for legal status. Many are in the U.S. illegally, while others are living under a temporary protection for foreigners whose homelands remain unsafe after wars or natural disasters.

Supported by Reps. Hilda Solis, D-El Monte, and Linda Sanchez, D-Lakewood, the Central American Security Act has languished in Congress several times in the past.

Still, the measure will likely face opposition from the Judiciary Committee, where Republican leaders favor tight restrictions on immigration.

"There is no good argument for giving people who sneak into our country citizenship ahead of those who have been following the rules and laws of the United States," Rep. Elton Gallegly, R-Thousand Oaks, said in a statement.

Kerry, Keeper Of The Records

Do the dorky donks go out of their way to look stupid? Kerry is not even a member of the Senate Committee addressing this, so why is he sticking his nose and the rest of his repulsive countenance into it? And why would the guy, who dragged out releasing all of his own military records when he wanted to be chief executive, chide anybody else about releasing all their records in a timely fashion? Apparently those pathetic college grades, he was trying to hide, were well deserved.

WASHINGTON — Democratic Sen. John Kerry urged the White House on Friday to release "in their entirety" all documents and memos from Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' tenure in two Republican administrations.

"We cannot do our duty if either Judge Roberts or the Bush administration hides elements of his professional record," said the Massachusetts senator who was his party's presidential candidate last year.

Kennedy And Guantanamo

The real disappointment for Kennedy was he didn't get to put underwear on his head and squeal like a pig. I wish they'd send Durbin to visit the Gitmo guards. They could throw him a blanket party.

During his inspection tour of Guantanamo Bay this week, Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy got an earful from U.S. troops running the facility, who blasted Kennedy for his anti-war statements and similar comments by other Democrats.

Soldiers from Kennedy's home state gave him "a piece of their mind," Pentagon officials told the Washington Times Bill Gertz and Rowan Scarborough.

One official said that Kennedy "got a stiff reaction from those home-state soldiers. ... The troops down there expressed their disdain for that kind of commentary, especially comparisons to the gulag."

Hawaii Democrat Daniel Akaka, who visited Gitmo along with Kennedy, reportedly got a similar reaction.

Deferred Success Is A Failure

Thank goodness this moonbat is retired because she had to be in perpetual success deferment mode throughout her career. These pc mad cretins are in our schools corrupting our children, in the workforce corrupting our productivity and in the government poisoning our republic. It's time to accept the fact that we all fail at times and some make a lifestyle of it knowing the liberals have created a safety net for them.

A retired primary school teacher has called for the word “failure” to be banned from the classroom and replaced with “deferred success”.
Liz Beattie, who taught for 37 years, said that children’s aspirations to learn are crushed as soon as they are deemed failures and that they should be praised instead.

The motion to remove the word “fail” from the educational vocabulary will be put formally to members of the Professional Association of Teachers (PAT) at the union’s annual conference in Buxton, Derbyshire, at the end of the month.
Critics said that it was just another example of “politically correct madness” creeping into the classroom, but Mrs Beattie, who lives in Ipswich and is the Suffolk Federation Secretary of the association, said that children responded better to encouragement than to being told they had passed or failed.
She said: “I think we all need to succeed at something. You need encouragement rather than being told you haven’t done very well.
“Learning should be lifelong and it should be something that everybody knows they can do and knows they can have a bash at. I’d rather tell kids that they have done jolly well. You can then say, ‘Tomorrow we should try that’, rather than just saying, ‘You have failed’.”
The union of 35,000 teachers already recognises that pupils have “differing abilities and learn at differing rates and that all individual achievement should be recognised”. Mrs Beattie, 68, insisted that the association should go further. She said: “I would be surprised if we didn’t get the motion through because there are enough teachers at all levels who know that, with little ones, you’ve got to get them motivated and with the older ones you’ve got to give them confidence going into exams.”
But the idea was denounced as “politically correct madness” by Suzanna Proud, 28, a mother of two. “When you apply for university they are hardly going to say, ‘Well you have had some deferred success so we’ll let you in’. They will say, ‘Sorry, you failed your exams. You don’t meet requirements’.” If the motion to ban the word is accepted by the union, its ruling council will make it part of policy for its members in primary, secondary and nursery schools across the country.
Howard Martin, 54, who runs an online campaign against political correctness, said: “When children go through school they should learn how life works. Mollycoddling them will have completely the opposite effect.”

Polygamy, The Next Cause Of The ACLU?

Each time the ACLU wins a point, it is only one step in a long journey. Now, that they're gaining on same sex marriage, the next step is polygamy. What's after that, marriage with children, siblings and pets? Compromise leads to more compromise and before you know it we'll be sanctioning carnal knowledge of items people keep in their pantrys and crispers. We must draw the line in the sand and stop the madness now.

David Frum, a scholar for the American Enterprise Institute, remarked, "Today, the people who are advocates of same-sex marriage are denying that polygamy is ever going to come up. But this is not a prediction. This is an observation. It is already coming up “

Even the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has weighed in. The president of the ACLU recently said that they support "the freedom of choice for mature, consenting individuals," and that polygamy is one of the "fundamental rights" they will defend.

ACLU, A Monster That Cannot Be Satiated

This is one of many reasons why we need someone on the Supreme Court who will not "read into" the constitution.

Not being satisfied with removing God from the courtroom, the ACLU is trying to interpret the court's approval as only for long standing displays. There is no end to these weasels and their nefarious schemes. And notice, how they extorted $150,000 in legal fees for their treachery.

A decision by Barrow County commissioners to pull down a copy of the Ten Commandments from the wall of its courthouse could refocus a civil liberties group on a display in Henry County, an attorney for the group said Thursday.

In 2003, the American Civil Liberties Union sued to have the Barrow display removed from a breezeway in the county courthouse. Last year, Henry County commissioners accepted a similar framed copy from the League of the South, and hung it along side six historical documents in the historic courthouse in McDonough.

Earlier this week, Barrow commissioners agreed to take the display down, ending the lawsuit and agreed pay the complainant, a John Doe, $1 and the ACLU $150,000 in legal expenses.

"The Ten Commandments display in Henry County is now on our radar screen," said Gerry Weber, the legal director for the ACLU in Atlanta.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled last month on several cases of Ten Commandments displays, limiting where they are appropriate.

Henry County commissioners believe they are on firm legal footing because their display is surrounded by six historical documents, including the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Magna Carta.

"These are foundation documents," said Henry County Commissioner Gerry Adams.

"The Ten Commandments says 'thou shalt not kill' - it's illegal to kill," he said. "What more appropriate place to put these documents, including the Ten Commandments, than where laws are adjudicated?"

Courthouse visitor John Hopkins agreed.

"I think the majority of the citizens of this county, this state, this country agree it's an important part of the make-up of this country," said Hopkins, a DeKalb resident who was at the courthouse Thursday.

The ACLU's Weber would not say whether the organization is planning a challenge to the Henry display, but said it interprets the recent high court decision to mean only long-standing displays, such as the one in the court's chambers, are allowable under the law.

"Unless a Ten Commandments display is an antiquated old document that's been there for decades and decades, it's subject to challenge," he said.

In 2003 a federal court ordered then-Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore to remove a two-ton granite Ten Commandments display from the courthouse there. He was removed from office after he refused to remove the display.

Later, the ACLU sued on behalf of a John Doe to have the Borrow display taken down.

Last July, the group League of the South donated a framed copy of the Commandments to Henry County, and asked that it be displayed in the courthouse. It was a move meant to test commissioners, some of whom were facing a bitter primary election that month.

Later, the group held a rally on the McDonough Square that was attended by supporters of the display, some Barrow County commissioners and the group Ten Commandments Georgia, which was collecting money to fight the ACLU's case in Barrow.

No Henry commissioners attended the rally.

Georgia League of the South Chairman Ray McBerry, a Henry resident, believes the display here will stand because it's part of a "historical display."

"The decision that was handed down by the Supreme Court two weeks ago makes it crystal clear that the type of display we have in Henry County is absolutely untouchable," he said.

London Underground Attacked Again But, Brits Standing Tall

I love the British and their stiff upper lip. This was a nation that defied Hitler and his V2 rockets and that same spirit seems alive and well today. I hope we would react the same.

At a news conference, Prime Minister Tony Blair praised the police operation and urged Londoners to remain calm.
"We know why these things are done. They're done to scare people and to frighten them, to make them anxious and worried," he said.
Blair, who referred questions on operations to police and emergency services, told reporters: "Police and security services are pretty clear about what's happened.
"The police have done their very best and the security services, too, in this situation. And I think we just have got to react calmly and continue with our business as much as possible as normal."

Better Late Than Never

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen was the first Hispanic woman elected to the US Congress. She was born in Cuba and was a childhood refugee from Fidel. She undoubtedly has a healthy distaste for repressive regimes.
Of course when Jimmy Carter gets wind of this he'll probably fly to Tehran and sing Kumbaya with the terrorists and offer to help build something for Habitat for Hezbollah and Hamas.

London, Jul. 20 – Several members of the United States Congress are expected to introduce a bill on Wednesday calling on the U.S. judicial authorities to begin legal proceedings against Iranians who were involved in the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran in November 1979 and the subsequent captivity of 52 American hostages for 444 days, the pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat reported today.

The bill’s principal sponsor, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Florida Republican who chairs the Sub-committee on the Middle East and Central Asia, said she and her colleagues in Congress want U.S. courts to try those suspected of taking part in the 1979 hostage-taking in Tehran.

The bill considers the event as falling under the provisions of counter-terrorism legislation and will require the federal government to investigate the involvement of the suspected hostage-takers “in cooperation with the hostages”.

The bill does not specifically mention Iran’s newly-elected ultra-conservative president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but his alleged involvement in the hostage-taking became a national issue in the United States earlier this month. Despite efforts by Iran’s clerical authorities to clear Ahmadinejad of any involvement in the 1979 hostage crisis, well-informed sources inside the Islamic regime insist that he was involved. Six former American hostages publicly identified Ahmadinejad as being one of the hostage-takers and interrogators of the hostages.

Ahmadinejad is not a lonely star and many of the radical Islamists who took part in the hostage-taking in 1979 rose to senior positions in the Iranian government. They include, among others, Hossein Moussavian, who chairs the foreign affairs committee in Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and is also a senior member of the country’s nuclear talks team; Massoumeh Ebtekar, the outgoing Vice-president for the Environment, who was the spokeswoman for the hostage-takers; Ebtekar’s husband Mohammad Hashemi, who was until recently a Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Intelligence and Security, the secret police; Minister of Energy Habibollah Bitaraf; Mohsen Mirdamadi, former chairman of the parliamentary Foreign Policy and National Security Committee; Mohsen Aminzadeh, currently Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia and Pacific; and Reza Seifollahi, who later became a Revolutionary Guards brigadier general and chief of police and is now a senior policy coordinator in the office of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The new bill comes at a time when more than 300 lawmakers have lent their support to The Iran Freedom Support Act, which was introduced by Ros-Lehtinen in January.

"This bill seeks to hold Iran accountable for its actions, and to help neutralize threats form this pariah state that seeks to harm our nation and persists in its efforts to acquire materials and technology to construct even deadlier weapons," the Republican lawmaker said.

“Election of a leader with Ahmadinejad's past is par for the course by Iran, a rogue nation whose unsavory behavior and associations render it one of the United States' greatest national security threats”, Ros-Lehtinen added.

"In particular, Iran's nuclear program combined with its support for terrorist organizations worldwide, raises the prospect of a potential transfer of WMD materials or components to terrorist organizations," the Florida Congresswoman said.

Kyl & Cornyn Better Than McCain, Kennedy, Kolbe & Flake

Here's a nice comparison of immigration bills by the Arizona Daily Star.

Here's another reason why our junior senator, Jon Kyl is superior.

Side by side
● Key differences between the McCain/Kennedy/Kolbe/Flake immigration bill and the new Kyl/Cornyn immigration bill:
Status of existing illegal immigrants:
Kyl - Can remain for up to five years after registration but must go back to home country to apply for guest worker program or visa.
McCain - Can apply for temporary visas while in the United States and apply for permanent status after paying a fee.
Border security:
Kyl - Additional 10,000 Border Patrol agents, additional 10,000 detention beds.
McCain - Directs the secretary of Homeland Security to come up with a plan and make recommendations to Congress.
Employer enforcement:
Kyl - 10,000 additional agents to investigate employers who hire undocumented workers, with increased penalties; creates secure, machine-readable Social Security card.
McCain - Electronic work authorization system to replace paper-based I-9 system.
Temporary worker program:
Kyl - Establishes new visa category for workers when no U.S. residents are available, with no numeric limits; two-year limit on visa.
McCain - Creates new program for 400,000 foreign workers to fill jobs that require few or no skills.
Health care:
Kyl - Requires aliens to have minimum health coverage provided by home country, alien or employer.
McCain - Provides federal reimbursement of hospitals for emergency care to both illegal entrants and those with work visas.

Ten Most Wanted

Please, please go to American Dinosaur and read his ten most wanted.

The Sins Of The Father

Well, this proves that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. What else could come out of this evironment of hatred and repression except evil madness. Like rabid dogs, these diseased animals need to be put down. The only way to end the epidemic is to wipe it out.

The father of one of the September 11 hijackers said today he had no sorrow for what had happened in London and claimed more terrorist attacks would follow.
Egyptian Mohamed el-Amir, whose son Mohamed Atta commandeered the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York, said there was a double standard in the way the world viewed the victims in London and victims in the Islamic world.
El-Amir said the attacks in the US and the July 7 attacks in Britain were the beginning of what would be a 50-year religious war, in which there would be many more fighters like his son.

Speaking to a CNN producer in his apartment in the upper-middle-class Cairo suburb of Giza, he declared that terror cells around the world were a "nuclear bomb that has now been activated and is ticking".
Cursing in Arabic, el-Amir also denounced Arab leaders and Muslims who condemned the London attacks as being traitors and non-Muslims.
He passionately vowed that he would do anything within his power to encourage more attacks.

Gitmo And Teddy's Secret

Has anyone noticed? The very day after the Armed Services Committee had testimony that prisoners at Gitmo may have been forced to wear womens' underwear, Teddy Kennedy announced he would travel there. Now, he's never gone before, although to listen to him you'd think he spent weeks at Guantanamo, since he is all knowing about what transpires there.
Is it possible the women's lingerie was just too provocative for him? Maybe he's looking for something to support his own massive mammaries. Anyway, I thought it was an amusing observation.

The Simp And The Blimp

Kennedy and Kerry, what were the odds? Kennedy, fresh off the anniversary of causing the death of Mary Jo Kopechne has serious questions. Kerry, the "Catholic" is concerned about abortion, but not the way his church is. These two are beyond belief. It is their ideological positions that put them at the outer reaches of the political galaxy.

WASHINGTON Bay State senators Edward Kennedy and John Kerry say there's no free pass for Supreme Court nominee Judge John Roberts.
Senator Kerry says there are "serious questions" about Roberts. Kerry says he's concerned about Roberts' willingness to uphold civil rights and privacy rights in Roe-versus-Wade.Kennedy didn't refer to abortion rights as Kerry did, but said Roberts has ideological positions that must be fully disclosed to the Senate.

Oliver Stoned, ACLU Poster Boy

Just a reminder to consider who you're giving your money to before you go to the movies. Does anyone really need to hear the opinion of a paranoid druggie like Stone?

With all of the talented directors available, one can only imagine why Paramount CEO Brad Grey would place at the helm of a film on 9/11 the tin foil hat-headed Oliver Stone.

Perhaps Grey did it to make the most of the controversy that will no doubt heat up after folks find out all the stuff Ollie's uttered.

Back in 1987 Stone was given an award by the ACLU. He said the following on that occasion: "Our own country has become a military industrial monolith, as rigid and corrupt as the Soviets.

"This Darth-Vadian Empire of the United States must pay. America has to bleed. I think the corpses have to pile up. I think American boys have to die again. Let the mothers weep and mourn."

You'd think the horrors of 9/11 would have chastened Stone. But sadly, only one month later he called the 9/11 attack a "revolt" against the "six companies who control the world," who "control culture" and who "control ideas."

He was talking about media companies.

Stone added that "the Arabs have a point and will be joined by the people who objected in Seattle." He then characterized the attack as something good, suggesting that "all great changes have come from people or events that were initially misunderstood."

Add these factoids to the mix. Stone focused on civilian slaughter in "Platoon," demonstrated the softer side of Castro in "Looking for Fidel," used Anthony Hopkins to "Hannibal"-ize "Nixon" and transformed Alexander of "Alexander the Great" into a frosted blond, mascara-wearing surfer dude who bores the world into submission.

Barney Franks Baffled And Bewildered

Besides being light in the loafers, it looks like Barney isn't carrying much weight between his ears. He often sounds confused, constantly having to refer to notes that seem to be given to him just before his interviews.

I saw him last night on Bill O'Reilly and he stumbled his way through that, failing to listen to the interviewer and only trying to lisp out the one point he had on his piece of paper. How do these people get elected?

Rep. Barney Frank said late Monday that Congress should begin an impeachment investigation into the Bush administration's handling of the Leakgate scandal and not wait for Special Proscecutor Patrick Fitzgerald to determine whether any laws were broken.

When reminded that the Leakgate probe was in the hands of a special prosecutor, Frank sounded confused, telling Brown: "Yes. But it is still also the president, because I don't think not being convicted of a crime [should] be the only qualification for being deputy chief of staff."

Unfair and Imbalanced Al-Jazeera

I can't wait to see who'll be dumb enough to sponsor this Arab terrorist rag.
Well, I guess Dan Rather can continue his career after all. Courage!

The pro-terrorist Al-Jazeera International will debut early next year as a 24-hour English-language news network headquartered in the Middle East.

And efforts to bring the network to the U.S. have been "very interesting and extremely encouraging," according to Commercial Director Lindsey Oliver.

The advertising-supported network will operate out of four broadcast centers – Washington, London, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia - and Doha, Qatar, its headquarters. The international version of Al-Jazeera, which has been accused by Washington of having an anti-American, pro-terrorist bias, will launch on schedule "regardless of its subscriber count," according to the publication Broadcasting & Cable. On the network’s schedule, the first half of each hour will be devoted to hard news, and the second will largely feature talk shows and documentaries.

Hillary Wants College Aid For Illegals

The old Clinton treachery is on the loose. Hillary wants secure borders but votes against more border patrol agents and facilties to detain illegals. Hillary says she's against illegal immigrants but wants to pay for their college education. And there are people who want her for president. What a sad, sad state of affairs.

U.S. Education Secretary Margaret Spellings said Monday the "achievement gap is beginning to close" between Hispanic and white students, while Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton countered that she's not convinced the federal government is doing enough to help Hispanic youth get through school.

Spellings and Clinton each spoke at the convention of the National Council of La Raza, a four-day event that ends Tuesday.

The two did not dispute statistics that show Latino students have the nation's highest high school dropout rate and the lowest college enrollment rate, but diverged on whether the government is fixing the problem. Praising No Child Left Behind, the education law President Bush signed in January 2002, Spellings pointed to National Assessment of Educational Progress scores released Thursday that show 9-year-olds, including Hispanics, have improved their reading and math scores. "These results did not come out of thin air," Spellings said. "They came from a commitment to doing something that's never been done before, a commitment to giving every child a quality education." "The achievement gap is beginning to close," she said. But minutes later, the Democratic senator told the same group: "You are doing your part, but I don't know that your government is doing its part right now." Clinton stressed that, though younger students' scores have improved, 17-year-olds have made virtually no gains since the tests first started being given 30 years ago. "I'm not sure that we are doing everything we should to make your job easier, to make sure that the opportunity society is alive and well for everyone," she said. Linda L. Silva, a Democratic organizer and advocate for Latinos in Concord County, Pa., stood with hundreds of others to applaud Clinton, particularly when the senator called for policy changes that would allow undocumented immigrant students to receive college aid.

Border Rumors Abound

Again and again we hear about plots and plans to penetrate the border with terrorists. Yet, our government votes down more agents and the means to detain those illegals we do apprehend.
I am at a loss to explain the cavalier attitude of our government toward our security. However, I would point out that Lugar (R-Ind.) who is quoted, in this article, about concern and real threats because of the border just recently voted against adding more agents. You absolutely cannot trust what your representatives say, you must verify their sincerity by how they vote.
We need to continue to vociferously demand that our borders be secured and we must insist that we will not return to nor place in office anyone who does not accept border security as a priority.

Dirt roads trace pale lines across a desolate landscape of bald peaks and plunging canyons near Texas' Big Bend and bridge the border at dozens of improvised crossings. For decades, these routes have been used to smuggle drugs and humans. Now there is growing concern they could become deadly conduits for terrorism.

The concern is buttressed by a confidential but unclassified FBI intelligence bulletin, obtained by The Dallas Morning News, that contains the vague outlines of a possible terrorist plot.

Officials from both sides of the border played down the possible threat but acknowledged that it is the sort of scenario they have to guard against. The prospect of terrorists crossing the southern border has been a rising concern among officials in Texas and Washington.

The plot, according to uncorroborated information provided by an FBI informant, involves a man, described as an Arab who goes by the nickname "El Español," and Ernesto Zatarín Beliz, also known as El Traca, suspected of being a Mexican drug trafficker and member of the Zetas, the feared enforcers of the notorious Gulf cartel.

"El Español is gathering truck drivers with knowledge of truck routes in the United States and explosive experts" in the state of Coahuila, according to the March 11 memo, which originated in the San Diego FBI office and was made available by a U.S. attorney's office. The informant "believes that the activity in Coahuila, Mexico, is terrorist related."

In exchange for the Zetas' help in recruiting drivers, the memo says, the Arab – who barely speaks Spanish – promised to help them fund and execute a plan to free Gulf cartel leader Osiel Cárdenas from prison. The Gulf cartel is embroiled in a bloody turf war with rival traffickers for control of Nuevo Laredo, a key drug smuggling route into the U.S.

According to the FBI memo, El Traca was attempting to recruit a security guard at a Mexican government explosives factory in Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila, to assist with the Arab's plan. The region is known for producing nitric acid and ammonium nitrate, materials that are used for industrial and agricultural purposes and can also be ingredients for explosives.

The informant has "provided reliable narcotics intelligence in the past," the bulletin says, but it adds that the informant also flunked two polygraph tests.

The San Diego FBI analyst who wrote the document declined to comment. The division's spokeswoman said publication of such sensitive information would undermine the bureau's mission.

"We are trying to protect national security," said Special Agent Jan Caldwell. "We can't do that when things like this are put in newspapers."

A senior Mexican intelligence official said the information in the memo had not been corroborated.

"The informant paved a road that led nowhere," the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. He added that Mexican federal agents spent "literally weeks chasing down the information, only to come up empty-handed."

Points confirmed

However, the Mexican intelligence official confirmed the identity of El Traca as Mr. Zatarín and said El Español was a known human trafficker, specializing in smuggling Middle Easterners and South Americans, particularly Brazilians and Paraguayans.

Mexican authorities have been unable to track down El Español, the official said.

According to the March FBI bulletin, Mexican authorities arrested Mr. Zatarín in September 2003 and found an arsenal of assault rifles in his residence, described by Mexican authorities as a "bunker utilized by Los Zetas." Mr. Zatarín later escaped, however, and his picture and name are now on a poster listing Mexico's most-wanted criminals.

"FBI intelligence indicates that Los Zetas are becoming increasingly involved in systematic corruption as well as alien smuggling ... [including] special interest aliens to the U.S.," the bulletin concludes.

Since the 2001 terrorist attacks, the Bush administration and members of Congress from both parties have viewed the southern border as a weak link in efforts to keep terrorists out of the United States, even though the 9-11 terrorists entered the country with visas, some legal, others forged.

"That's been the concern all along, that there would be a bargain struck between al-Qaeda or some [other] terrorist organization and these organized crime networks that would allow terrorists to be smuggled into the country," U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said in an interview. "I think that's a very real concern."

At a hearing Tuesday of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the chairman, Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., said: "Given the threat of international terrorism, there is great concern that our land borders could also serve as a channel for international terrorists and weapons of mass destruction. The threat of terrorist penetration is particularly acute along our southern border."

Senior U.S. officials added that other criminal groups such as the Mara Salvatrucha – the Central American gang that has moved into several U.S. cities and has a growing presence along the U.S.-Mexico border – also are a top concern for U.S. authorities.

Mr. Lugar said 3,000 to 4,000 of the 119,000 non-Mexican immigrants apprehended so far this year trying to cross illegally into the U.S. were from "countries of interest" such as Somalia, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. That number is up from 75,371 for all of 2004 and is expected to reach 148,000 by fiscal year's end.

Adm. James Loy, former Homeland Security deputy secretary, declined to comment on the specific plot outlined in the FBI memo, but earlier this year he suggested that such a threat is real.

"Entrenched human-smuggling networks and corruption in areas beyond our borders can be exploited by terrorist organizations," Mr. Loy said in written testimony at a congressional hearing in February. "Several al-Qaeda leaders believe operatives can pay their way into the country through Mexico and also believe illegal entry is more advantageous than legal entry for operational security reasons."

Easier elsewhere?

But law enforcement officials discounted the suggestion that terrorists would use the rugged Big Bend area to transport explosives – especially in a tractor-trailer that would glaringly stand out.

"I think there would be easier ways to get explosives inside the United States,"said Benjamine Carry Huffman, assistant chief patrol agent for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Marfa. He pointed out that Interstate 10 is a two-hour drive from the border area of Presidio but that there was immediate access to it in El Paso.

But the intelligence bulletin noted that the alleged terrorist plot, as relayed by the informant, was still a work in progress, leaving open the possibility that less conspicuous vehicles might be employed. And the FBI memo said that "one possible smuggling route Traca wanted to use was through Big Bend National Park."

The border patrol's Marfa sector is its largest, covering 510 miles of border with Mexico, including part of Big Bend National Park, and bordering the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Coahuila. With some 200 agents, it has the smallest force of any sector along the Mexican border, according to Bill Brooks, the sector spokesman.

Much of the area is desert and mountainous terrain, dotted by at least a dozen informal crossings known as Class B ports of entry. These consist of makeshift bridges capable of carrying foot and some lighter vehicle traffic. Authorities tried to seal them off after Sept. 11, 2001, but several have been re-established. Officials acknowledged that agents cannot regularly police the informal crossings.

"Who ever imagined that terrorists would use passenger planes to crash into tall buildings?" Mr. Hoffman said. "After Sept. 11, we have to operate on a different mindset, one in which we take absolutely nothing for granted. Is it possible terrorists can come across this border with explosives or a dirty bomb? Absolutely."

What's In A Name?

This is the only way to keep the fox out of the henhouse. We all need to take note.

A 3ft rooster fought off a fox after it broke into his coop.

Rooster Cogburn made sure the fox did not come near his hens reports the Daily Express.

Owner Tim Stone from Shepton Mallet, Somerset said: "I was asleep when I heard a huge commotion. I went outside to see what it was all about and saw fur and feathers everywhere. There was a yelp and I saw the fox limping off. The rooster was strutting around like a boxer after a fight and crowing like mad.

"He didn't have a scratch on him so I can only imagine he beat the fox within an inch of his life. I don't think he'll be coming back."

The bird was named Rooster Coburn after John Wayne's sheriff character in the film True Grit.

PETA, Cerebrally Challenged

OK, can we just have the PETA lunatics certified and institutionalized?
The third definition of kill in Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary is channel or stream. These people have to be insane because if they were this ignorant and stupid they couldn't walk erect. If there's any promotion of violence it's on PETA's part. When normal people are confronted with this manner of moronic babbling, there is an overwhelming desire to beat sense into the culprits. How can these cretins revel in their ignorance of english vocabulary and American history? They are below the fish on the food chain!

Just when you think it's safe to look at a map, the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals strikes. The group's latest concern is directed, as it was a decade ago, at Fishkill.

To them, it's a mean moniker that promotes violence against animals. Yet this town named from the Dutch derivative — Vis for fish and Kill, meaning a stream or creek — has no intention of harming the creatures of the water.

Not good enough for PETA members. To them, the name shouldn't be anywhere, even on a map. "When they think of Fishkill, they think of abusing fish and that's not the right message," a spokeswoman for the group's fish empathy project said of those who might see the name on a map.

Maybe that's what PETA members think.

But when others think of Fishkill, they think of the brick buildings that line the Broad Street National Historic District and the 37,000 books in the Blodgett Library. The Senior Center Drop-in program at town hall also comes to mind. As does the annual Easter egg hunt, Halloween parade and the public reading of the Declaration of Independence every July 4.

Some may think of the Van Wyck Homestead, a spot on New York's Independence Trail. Of course, the First Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Fishkill, built in 1716, is testimony to the town's staying power.

PETA has even offered Fishkill an incentive to eradicate its history: if the town changes its title, the group will give $15,000 worth of soy-based fish products to local schools. We suspect the schools would pan that.

Fishkill is rich in history and home to some of Dutchess County's finest residents, who would never harm animals. It doesn't need a name change.

The Chinese Grudge

This is just some silly stuff for Saturday.

Japanese customers must apologise for their country's wartime occupation of China before getting a seat at a restaurant in the region formerly known as Manchuria, Japan's Kyodo news agency reports.

No Japanese had tried to enter the restaurant in the city of Jilin, north-eastern China, since it introduced the apology policy and hung a sign that says: "Japanese people barred from entry."

"We totally welcome those Japanese customers who can correctly view history," the manager was quoted as saying. "But as for those customers who still refuse to admit to history, we want to say we don't like them."

UN Wants To Run The Internet

Can you imagine Kofi and crew running the internet? Let's see, first they'll ok child porn and then censure any negative criticism of the UN as not being in the best interest of the new world order.

A UN panel created to recommend how the internet should be run in the future has failed to reach consensus but did agree that no single country should dominate.

In a report released on Thursday, the UN panel outlined four possible options for the future of internet governance for world leaders to consider at a November "Information Society" summit.

One option would largely keep the current system intact, with a US-based non-profit organisation, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, continuing to handle basic policies over internet addresses.

At the other end, ICANN would be revamped and new international agencies formed under the auspices of the United Nations.

Developing countries have been frustrated that Western countries which got on the internet first gobbled up most of the available addresses required for computers to connect, leaving developing nations to share a limited supply.

And some countries want faster approval of domain names in non-English characters - China even threatened a few years ago to split the internet in two and set up its own naming system for Chinese.

If Karl Goes So Should Kerry

Kerry can never follow the rules, always finding excuses for himself but he sure likes to point the finger at others.

Sen. John Kerry, who called for Karl Rove to be fired over allegations that he revealed the identity of CIA employee Valerie Plame, outed a genuine undercover CIA agent just this past April - even after the Agency asked that his identity be kept secret.

Kerry blew the cover of CIA secret operative Fulton Armstrong during confirmation hearings for U.N. ambassador nominee John Bolton.

Questioning Bolton, Kerry asked: "Did Otto Reich share his belief that Fulton Armstrong should be removed for his position?" - according to a transcript excerpted by the New York Times.

"The answer is yes," the top Democrat continued.

In his response to Kerry, Mr. Bolton did his best to maintain the agent's confidentiality, reverting to the Armstrong's pseudonym.

"As I said," he told Kerry, "I had lost confidence in Mr. Smith, and I conveyed that."

Two years earlier, Armstrong had been identified in news reports on his dispute with other officials over intelligence involving Cuba. But he was operating in a different capacity and his identity wasn't secret at the time.

"When the Bolton nomination resurrected the old accounts, however, the C.I.A. asked news organizations to withhold his name," the Times said.

Apparently the CIA directive wasn't good enough for Sen. Kerry - who outed Armstrong anyway and later defended the move by saying his Republican colleague, Senator Richard Lugar, had also mentioned the name.

And besides, said Kerry, the secret agent's name "had already been in the press."

Clinton, Kerry And Biden Abandon Border Control

America, know now who your real enemies are. The Government refuses to protect you. What a surprise among the culprits are Biden, Clinton and Kerry the three donks who want to lead us to our demise as a free and sovereign nation.

If there is a terrorist attack that happens because of our failure to secure our borders every senator, Democrat and Republican that voted against these amendments should be led to the gallows and dispatched. I have included the links to the votes so you can see who the villans are!

The Senate voted yesterday against fulfilling its pledge from last year to hire 2,000 more Border Patrol agents and fund 8,000 new detention beds for illegal aliens in fiscal 2006, as some potential presidential candidates weighed in on border security and illegal immigration.
The intelligence overhaul bill that Congress passed and President Bush signed into law in December called for 2,000 new agents and 8,000 new detention beds every year for the next five years in order to meet a threat posed by illegal aliens.
Yesterday's votes were on amendments to the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, which funds only 1,000 more agents and 2,240 more detention beds in fiscal 2006.
Sen. John Ensign, Nevada Republican, had called for another 1,000 agents, and Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, called for 5,760 more beds in order to meet the goals set by last year's bill, with both increases being paid for by reducing grants to state and local governments.
"Anybody who comes into the United States of America across our southern border today and is from a country other than Mexico, 95 percent chance they will continue their journey to wherever they want to go," Mr. McCain said. "We don't have enough detention facilities. We don't have enough beds."
But Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, said the amendments would sap funds from local law enforcement.
"That's the problem here. It's not in strengthening the borders. It's in taking away money from the people every day who defend us and, since 9/11, have new duties," he said.
Both amendments failed -- Mr. Ensign's by a 60-38 vote, and Mr. McCain's 56-42. Later in the evening, the overall Homeland Security bill passed 96-1, with Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, voting against it.
The Senate debate came as Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff testified to both chambers of Congress that better homeland security requires a broad immigration policy change.
Meanwhile, potential presidential candidates weighed in on yesterday's amendments and immigration policy, with Majority Leader Bill Frist, Tennessee Republican, voting for both amendments.
"Immigrants have enhanced our history, and they will enhance our future, but we must make sure they come to America legally," Mr. Frist said. "It's a matter of security in a time of war. It's also a matter of morality for a caring nation and a nation of laws."
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, New York Democrat, who had made a splash recently with comments about cracking down on illegal immigration, voted against both amendments, as did Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the 2004 Democratic nominee, and Democratic Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware, who has said he plans to run.
Mrs. Clinton's office didn't return a call for comment, but other prominent Democrats who are considered presidential candidates said they didn't want to vote for cuts in first-responder grants to localities.
"Homeland security isn't served when we steal from firefighters, police officers and other first responders to hire Border Patrol agents," said David Wade, a spokesman for Mr. Kerry. "If the Republicans who run Congress had drafted a bill that actually meets our needs, none of these votes would be necessary."
Norm Kurz, a spokesman for Mr. Biden, said the Delaware senator introduced his own bill earlier this year calling for an increase in agents and voted for the intelligence bill last year.
"He just doesn't support doing these things at the expense of police, fire and EMTs," Mr. Kurz said.
Mr. Kurz said Mr. Biden's bill called for 1,500 agents, although the text only shows 800 agents and 300 investigators.
Sen. Rick Santorum, Pennsylvania Republican, and Sen. Evan Bayh, Indiana Democrat, voted against the Border Patrol increase but for the detention bed increase.
Mr. Bayh's spokesman, Dan Pfeiffer, said the Homeland Security Department has said it can only train 1,200 to 1,500 agents a year right now anyway. He said Mr. Bayh voted for the detention beds because 90 percent of aliens who aren't detained never show up at their deportation hearings.
Robert Traynham, a spokesman for Mr. Santorum, agreed, saying the detention bed money could be spent this year.
"The senator is for border security, but he would like for us to spend it in a responsible and approriate way," Mr. Traynham said.
Sen. Ken Salazar of Colorado was the only Democrat to vote for both amendments.

All The News That Prints To Fit

NewsMax has caught the Times with her pants down, which seems to be the perpetual state of the Old Gray Lady these days.

This paper tells so many lies the Clintons should be the editors.

The New York Times took a breather yesterday from covering the Karl Rove pseudo-scandal to tout "The Evolution of Hillary Clinton" - a tribute to the ambitious Democrat's newfound voice of moderation.

Among the maneuvers cited by the Old Gray Lady was Mrs. Clinton's purported shift to the right on the hot-button issue of immigration.

Included in the evidence cited by the Times: Hillary's quote to WABC Radio's John Gambling on Feb. 11, 2003, wherein she proclaimed, "I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigration."

The only problem is, Mrs. Clinton never spoke those words.

Apparently, the Times was offended by what she actually said, which was: "I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants" - a quote first reported by NewsMax an hour after Clinton uttered it.

The distinction is important, since, in the Times version, Mrs. Clinton is condemning the crime of illegal immigration, while in realty, what Hillary did was state her opposition to the immigrants themselves.

That's not very politically correct. In fact, we'd venture to guess that if a Republican had blurted out that he was "adamantly against illegal immigrants," the Times would undoubtedly condemn the hapless GOP'er as a racist.

Somehow, every other news agency that has picked up Mrs. Clinton's blast at "illegal immigrants" in the ensuing two years - including the Washington Times, the National Review, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and MSNBC - managed to get the quote correct.

Only the folks at America's so-called "paper of record" decided that Hillary's words needed doctoring.

Hillary, The Hellhound Of Family Values

This is a laugh. The most morally corrupt, dysfunctional family to ever inhabit our Whitehouse has the nerve to have its mother of moral depravity preach to us about protecting family values. This woman has the moral integrity of one of Satan's concubines. Another example of how she will say or do anything to further her evil agenda.

WASHINGTON - In media events Wednesday and Thursday on Capitol Hill, Sen. Hillary Clinton burnished her image as the nation’s leading Democrat who is both tough on national defense abroad and tough on cultural depravity at home.

Clinton called Wednesday for boosting the Army by 80,000 soldiers over four years, and was back in front of television cameras again Thursday calling for a new law to punish video game retailers who sell violent or pornographic games to teenagers and children.

The senator’s legislation would impose a $5,000 penalty on retailers who sell to underage consumers video that are rated “M” (for mature) or “AO” (adults only) by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, an industry group.

She told reporters that her legislation would not, at least not initially, give federal authorities the power to get an injunction to stop a retailer from selling violent or smutty to minors.

'A line of defense'
“We need to do everything we can to make sure that parents have a line of defense against graphic and violent video games and other content that goes against the values they’re trying to instill in their children,” Clinton said.

Where There's Smoke There's Fire

The ACLU would like to cloak itself in altruism, claiming it exists only to defend the basic rights of people. Well, let's look at its history of protecting the rights of non-smokers. You would think that would be high on the ACLU's list, as it is for most of the left wing crowd. It is a great favorite of the Hollywood lefties.

The attitude of the ACLU toward tobacco products took an interesting turn after an infusion of cash hit their coffers.

Even though this is an old story, it is representative of an organization that, while claiming to be driven by high ideals, is actually morally bankrupt and capable of any subterfuge to further its socialist agenda.

It matters to them not where their funding comes from, because the end justifies the means. This is not exactly the stuff from which lofty ideals and goals are met. It is the murky swamp of the manipulator and conspirator, trademarks of this cabal.

The American Civil Liberties Union in 1993 solicited and accepted $500,000 from Philip Morris. The ACLU contends that the money did not carry conditions that would have compromised ACLU's principles.

What principles you may ask? Even without specific conditions, this would still be a conflict of interest by any standard and would certainly taint any sense of impartiality the ACLU might attempt to claim. Read the following articles and decide for yourself.
