Bill Clinton Condemns Danish Free Speech

I've always known that liberals really don't advocate free speech. They appoint themselves as the dictators of political correctness and limit free speech accordingly.

But now, here is our ex-president in front of people from one of the world's most repressive cultures condemning the right of the press to publish opinions, a double hit , freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

And who publishes his comments? Did you see this broadcast here at home? Al-Jazeerah certainly thought it was newsworthy. Just when I think Clinton has reached the lowest point in the gutter he burrows down deeper into the sewage. The article follows.

Khaleej Times, (AFP)

30 January 2006

DOHA - Former US president Bill Clinton warned Monday of rising anti-Islamic prejudice, comparing it to historic anti-Semitism as he condemned the publishing of cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed in a Danish newspaper.

“So now what are we going to do? ... Replace the anti-Semitic prejudice with anti-Islamic prejudice?” he said at an economic conference in the Qatari capital of Doha.

“In Europe, most of the struggles we’ve had in the past 50 years have been to fight prejudices against Jews, to fight against anti-Semitism,” he said.

Clinton described as “appalling” the 12 cartoons published in a Danish newspaper in September depicting Prophet Mohammed and causing uproar in the Muslim world.

“None of us are totally free of stereotypes about people of different races, different ethnic groups, and different religions ... there was this appalling example in northern Europe, in Denmark ... these totally outrageous cartoons against Islam,” he said.

The cartoons, including a portrayal of the prophet wearing a time-bomb-shaped turban, were reprinted in a Norwegian magazine in January, sparking uproar in the Muslim world where images of the prophet are considered blasphemous.

Clinton criticised the tendency to generalise negative news of Islamic militancy.

“Because people see headlines that they don’t like (they will) apply that to a whole religion, a whole faith, a whole region and a whole people?” he asked.

A wide campaign to boycott Danish products has swept through Muslim countries as many governments and organisations have demanded an apology from the Danish government.

Clinton said the United States should continue to push for a Middle East settlement, in light of the stunning win by the radical Islamist movement Hamas in last week’s Palestinian elections.

“It is important that ... we continue to be heavily involved in the resolution of the issues in the Middle East. (But) it depends in part on what Hamas says and does,” he said.

“When we (US) are involved, fewer people (have) died,” he said.

US President George W. Bush on Friday warned of cuts in US aid to the Palestinians if Hamas does not dissolve its armed wing and renounce threats against Israel.

Zany To The Max, The Moslomaniacs

I posted yesterday about the Muslim boycott of Danish products.

PBS Watcher was kind enough to leave me a comment with some important added details including the actual cartoons. Here now, with the encoragement of PBS Watcher, I present them and join with that blog in asking every lover of free speech to do the same.

Kerry's Folly

Today's the day of the week that I do my blog on John Kerry. There is always ample material to draw from in confronting John but, today is extra special. Now that he has phoned in an undeserved and unsuccessful filibuster from the ski slopes of Davos, Switzerland, one has to wonder what was he thinking. In another attempt to endear himself to the Cindy Sheehans of America, he has spotlighted not only himself but 24 others as enemies of the wishes of the majority of Americans. We knew all along who these people were but it is important to turn the light on and see the cockroaches at work lest we forget they are there.

So, John Kerry, we thank you for displaying this list of partisan, obstructionist senators and we ask you to now display your complete military records. At this point, John you have nothing more to lose.

What follow is the list of senators who brazenly defied the desires of the American people including many in their own party by joining Kerry in this filibuster fiasco.

One Independent, Jim Jeffords of Vermont, voted no on cutting off debate along with 24 Democrats, Evan Bayh (Ind.), Joe Biden (Del.), Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein of Calif.; Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer of N.Y.; Mark Dayton (Minn.), Christopher Dodd (Conn.), Dick Durbin and Barak Obama of Ill.; Russ Feingold (Wis.) Kennedy and Kerry (Mass.), Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez of N.J.; Patrick Leahy (Vt.); Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow of Mich.; Barbara Mikulski and Paul Sarbanes of Md.; Patty Murray (Wash.); Jack Reed (R.I.); Harry Reid (Nev.); and Ron Wyden of Oregon.
John Kerry, release your FULL military records.

Norwegians Fold While Danes Press On

The government of Norway apologized to Muslims for the publication of twelve Muhammad cartoons. Oslo sent out instructions to all the Norwegian embassies on how to respond to queries about the cartoons. Unlike the Danish government, the Norwegian government is ready to cave into Muslim pressure.

According to Islam it is blasphemy to depict Muhammad. OK, that's fine for them but the rest of us are not bound by their beliefs. The Danish government has, so far, refused to give in to demands from Muslims that it apologize for the publication of the cartoons.

Meanwhile, in that peace loving bastion of democracy and freedom, Palestine, the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade held an anti Dane demonstration in Nablus. Danes were advised to avoid the area lest they be attacked and Danish interests in the region were threatened.

Apparently, some Muslim nations (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) are boycotting Danish products. We Americans need to pick up that slack. If you're interested in joining the cause, go here. Also, lgf has a post about this here.

More Imam Mahdi Madness

Go to Iran Focus to read more about these disturbing developments.

Iran has threatened to strike its enemies with its medium-range missiles if its nuclear weapons facilities come under attack.

“If we come under military attack, we will respond with our very effective missile defence”, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, said on state television.

“The world knows that the Islamic Republic has ballistic missiles in its defense arsenal”.

Iran has a large arsenal of Shahab-3 missiles that can strike over 2,000 kilometres away from their launch sites, easily reaching Israel and United States troops in the region.

“God willing, the 21st century will see the defeat of the U.S. and the Zionists, and the victory of freedom-seeking nations of the world”.

He described the purpose of Iran’s 1979 Islamic revolution as the “Salvation of Muslims” from the hands of the “oppressive U.S. and Israel”.

“The final goal of the revolution is to create global Islamic rule and a regime of law to be led by the Imam Mahdi”.

In addition, Iran’s former President Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani described regional ally Syria as the “frontline” of Islam against the policies of the state of Israel, adding that the Islamic Republic had to defend it against enemy threats.

“Syria is the frontline of Muslim countries to fight against the anti-Islamic policies of the Zionists’ regime. We must not allow this front to be injured by the enemy”, Rafsanjani, who currently heads the State Expediency Council, said, the state-run ISNA news agency reported on Saturday.

And now, for the really bad news: The compound that houses the Iranian embassy in Pyongyang is the focus of intense scrutiny by diplomats and intelligence services who believe that North Korea is negotiating to sell the Iranians plutonium from its newly enlarged stockpile — a sale that would hand Tehran a rapid route to the atomic bomb.

In November western intelligence sources told Der Spiegel, the German news magazine, of a clandestine visit to Pyongyang by an unnamed high-ranking Iranian official who offered North Korea a huge amount of oil and natural gas in exchange for help on nuclear research and missiles.

Sources in Tehran say Iran’s Revolutionary Guards recently established their own institutional links with North Korea, bypassing traditional policy channels. “Whatever they’re up to, it’s probably done through the Revolutionary Guards,” commented a western diplomat.

Back in Pyongyang, diplomats are left guessing as people enter and leave the Iranian embassy. One fact, however, is known. Jalaleddin Namini Mianji, Iran’s ambassador who was appointed by the previous “reformist” government, is being recalled. His successor’s credentials are certain to reflect the hard line of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who threatened to wipe Israel off the map.

So, we have the terrible trio of terrorists, Syria, Iran and North Korea plotting together. We also have Hamas, choice of the majority of Palestinians, fidgeting offstage while waiting to join any aggression toward the Jews. Who will be the first to let slip the dogs of war?

The Art Of The ACLU

In a long line of people waiting for a bank teller, a man suddenly starts massaging the back of the person in front of him.

Surprised, the man in front turns and yells, "Just what the hell are you doing?"

"Well," says the massager, "please understand, I'm a chiropractor and I could see that you were tense, so I felt I had to massage your back. I love what I do and sometimes I just can't help practicing my art!"

"That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" the second man replies. "I'm an attorney for the ACLU. Do you see me screwing the people in front of me?"

Sappy Days Are Here Again

Harry Reid has stated he will support a filibuster of the nomination of judge Alito. Hillary has also joined the pack of jackals led by Kerry and Kennedy. There has been heavy pressure from fringe left wing groups to stop the nomination. Never one to do what is right, but rather what is politically expedient, this motley crew has been shamed by none other than Robert Byrd. In a mad fit of integrity, Byrd procalimed about judge Alito, "But my considered judgment from his record, from his answers to my questions, and from his obvious intelligence and sincerity, leads me to believe him to be an honorable man, who loves his country, loves his Constitution and will give of his best, can we really ask for more?" No, senator, we cannot, let the vote proceed.

The filibuster attempt will only highlight, for the majority of Americans, what out of touch fools we have all been suffering for too many years. Let the games begin!

A Zebra Does Not Change Its Spots

Bill Clinton's former flunky and creator of the internet, Al Gore, is now trying to tell our neighbors up north how to run their country. Why is it that left wing losers like Gore are hell bent on giving advice to others?

Gore has told Canadians to be vigilant over their prime minister elect, Stephen Harper. Fearing Harper will pull Canada out of the Kyoto accord fiasco, Gore is trying to tie Harper to the oil industry. This from the man who was the "Chinese Connection" of the Clinton administration and escaped by pleading stupidity and ignorance. He should have gone for insanity.

Darcie Park, spokeswoman for oilsands giant Suncor Energy, said she's taken aback by Gore's remarks and hopes they don't resonate with Canadians.

"Our company just doesn't do business that way. We're really puzzled about where these comments came from," she said.

That's par for the course, Darcie, Gore's comments have puzzled most normal people for years. Hence, the title of this post: "A zebra does not change its spots." Spoken by Al Gore while attacking President Bush in 1992.

Ring Of Steel

Hat tip to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

My old hometown, New York, is looking to London as an example of how to improve security in lower Manhattan. London has what is known as the "ring of steel", a system of closed-circuit cameras and narrow roads. Police can block it off while cameras scan for wanted vehicles and monitor traffic and people entering and exiting the area.

New York is considering something similar with controlled entrances and exits and, of course, the CCTV.

A team of New York police officers visited London in September and were given access to the City of London's security procedures. They had the opportunity to talk to London police officers and evaluate the system.

The NYPD is currently uses CCTV in housing projects resulting in a significant reduction in crime.

London instituted its "ring of steel" in response to IRA terrorist bombings and few civil liberty objections resulted. In fact, many of the measures in London largely go unnoticed. The City has 16 entry and 12 exit points where the roads were narrowed and marked with iron posts painted a decorative red, white and black. The posts also deter truck bombs. At each entry point, a camera screens license plates and feeds the data to a computerized system that can flag stolen or wanted vehicles. If a wanted car is spotted, a control room at police headquarters can be alerted within four seconds. Last year the system read 37 million plates and identified 91,000 positive matches for wanted vehicles. Nearly 550 arrests were made as a result.

But wait, in NYC we have the NYCLU to come to the aid of potential terrorists and various other criminals. The New York Civil Liberties Union last summer sent 10 college students to count surveillance cameras in the city.

"The NYPD has to develop policies that protect individual privacy and that do not turn us into a surveillance society where people have to worry that every move is being captured on camera," says Donna Lieberman, executive director of the group.

I do not understand how you can expect privacy when you are in public. The ACLU is the first to defend unlimited freedom for drug dealers, pedophiles and practioners of oddball religious rites. They proclaim the right of panhandlers to invade my privacy and personal space when I'm in public, going so far as to define begging as not just asking for money but delivering a political message. If these aggressive messiahs of mendicancy are permitted to inflict their undesired attention on the public with the blessing and encouragement of the ACLU, then why are they so concerned about CCTV in public?

Is it because they have now added terrorism to their aberrant notion of protected rights? Is terrorism, in the twisted mind of the ACLU, a political message to which we must allow ourselves to be subjected? They have made stranger arguments and the ninth circus court has agreed. Thanks to joke judges like Stephen Reinhardt and the ACLU it has become increasingly dangerous for many people to frequent public places in our cities thus depriving them of their rights. We must not allow the ACLU to deliver on its agenda of moral anarchy. Join us today in the fight to take back America from the tyranny of the minority.

Not Too Sensitive, Too Stupid

In a pathetic surrender to political correctness, the Tampa and St. Petersburg police departments, have abandoned the traditional black silhouette of a human form targets.

"It never was a big issue or a big debate," said Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy, whose agency switched to blue silhouette targets from black ones two years ago. "Nowadays, you can never be too sensitive, and we felt that it was the right direction to go."

And there you have it, spoken as if it was fact. Yes, Laura you ignorant puppet of political correctness, you can be too sensitive. When sensitivity becomes pandering to the cretinous concerns of the fantical fringe then you are being too sensitive! You can always find someone who is offended by something , varous crazy cause joiners to swell their ranks and of course the anarchist ACLU to sue for them. That doesn't mean the majority of us who are mentally, emotionally and spiritually well adjusted should kowtow to their delusions.

And finally a voice of reason:

Dee Johnson, who teaches a criminal justice class at Durant High School, was at Shooting Sports gun range in Tampa one recent weekday, supervising her students.

She thinks the traditional black silhouettes are fine.

"I, for one, don't see it as a racial issue," said Johnson, who is black. "And I am the type to address racial issues."

Zarqawi Sleeps With A Night-Light

Oops, I meant suicide belt. Tucked inside his Dr. Denton martyr pajamas, Abu Mussab Al Zarqawi goes to sleep every night wearing a suicide belt packed with explosives. One can only hope and pray he sends himself to the moon while tossing and turning .

This by way of the Middle East Times.

Portable Potty Problem

Another example of, "You know it's a bad day when."

A man got stuck in a portable toilet for more than an hour after the door iced over as temperatures in Germany plummeted to minus 20C.

Czech lorry driver Petr Zeman stopped for a break at a service station while driving through Lichtenau in Germany.

But after closing the door to the portable toilet, he was unable to open it again.

"I thought I was going to die in there it was so cold. I kept shouting for help but nobody heard me," said the 58-year-old.

A man who eventually heard the man's cries for help when he went to use the toilet managed to prise open the door with the help of other truckies.

Iran Must Ponder, What is Chirac Really Saying?

Iran has termed as "unacceptable" President Jacques Chirac's declaration of France's right to use nuclear weapons against countries that carried out a terrorist attack against it.

The remarks made by Chirac were widely regarded as an indirect warning against Iran and its ambitions to expand its nuclear programs.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi was quoted as saying that Chirac's comments had made the world public opinion more fearful, adding the French president had "revealed the inherent intentions behind of nuclear powers is using this leverage for political games".

If we read between the lines, was Jacques sending a message that the French might assist in the attack on Iran's nuclear facilities? This, then, would be a warning to Iran not to retaliate against France or face horrific consequences.

I Saw Nothing, I Heard Nothing Etc.

This weekend the magazine Focus reported that ransom money allegedly paid by the German government last month was found on Susanne Osthoff by officials after she was released. Susan was the German citizen kidnapped in Iraq and it was speculated that the German government may have paid around five million dollars to win her freedom.

According to the magazine, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Germany's foreign minister, has ordered "absolute secrecy" on the ransom discovery.

This scandal could fall back on
Schroeder since Steinmeier is his boy and was hoped to be a challenger to Merkel in the next election.

Sunday Funny

Bill Clinton died and was standing at the Pearly Gates. After knocking on the gates for a while, St. Peter appeared.

"Who goes there?" inquired St. Peter.

"It's me, Bill Clinton."

"And what do you want?" asked St. Peter.

"Let me in!" replied Bill.

"Soooo," pondered Peter. "What bad things did you do on earth?"

Clinton thought a bit and answered, "Well, I smoked marijuana but you shouldn't hold that against me because I didn't inhale. I guess I had extra-marital sex -- but you shouldn't hold that against me because I didn't really have 'sexual relations.' And I lied, but don't hold that against me because I didn't really commit perjury."

After several moments of deliberation St. Peter replied, "OK, here's the deal. We'll send you someplace where it is very hot, but we won't call it 'Hell.' You'll be there for an indefinite period of time, but we won't call it 'eternity.' And don't abandon all hope upon entering, just don't hold your breath waiting for it to freeze over."

To Fight With The Prince Of Persia

According to Iran Focus, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told senior leaders of a radical Palestinian group in Damascus on Friday that the Middle East conflict has become “the locus of the final war” between Muslims and the West.

Ahmadinejad told the leaders of Hamas, “Today, victory in Palestine has become a matter of life and death for the Islamic world and for Global Arrogance (the West)”.

The Iranian president urged the Palestinians to reject moves such as Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza.

“Some point to the withdrawal of the occupiers from parts of Palestine, but this event has already been greatly detrimental to Muslims”, Ahmadinejad said.

“If the occupiers stay on even one inch of Palestinian soil, the goal of Palestine will not be realised”, Ahmadinejad told Hamas leaders, who included Khalid Mash’al, the head of the group’s political bureau.

“We must not let our guard down now for even one moment against the enemies’ plots. Belittling the goal of Palestine is a great plot that the enemies are after”, he said.

The madman Mahmoud is daring the civilized world to stop him and his murdering henchmen. Diplomacy and sanctions will not work. He is not a man of reason. He is a man of violence, not peace, and he wants this conflict, this showdown, between Islam and the West.

Guess Who's Coming To Visit

By way of WorldNetDaily comes this frightening bit of information.New Mexico's Rep. Steve Pearce stated that the Border Patrol has captured two illegal immigrants from Afghanistan, two from Indonesia, nine from Iran and one from Syria in his district over the past two years. These are people from nations known to harbor terrorists. Why is this not making news headlines? Why aren't Teddy Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and the rest of the leftwing cabal addressing this problem? And sadly, I must ask what is our president doing?

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez, Jr,Zapata County's chief lawman and chairman of the Border Sheriff's Association, told a San Antonio conference yesterday it's not a matter of "if," but "when," a terrorist will enter the U.S. through Mexico with a dirty bomb or some other weapon of mass destruction. The fault, Gonzalez said, can be placed on the federal government for failing to protect its borders. The sheriff is right. The government needed to move quickly on this problem immediately after 9/11 but it has done nothing, zip, nada.

"If smugglers can bring a hundred people or 2,000 pounds of marijuana into the United States, how simple would it be to bring terrorists into this country, or a suitcase loaded with a dirty bomb?" Gonzalez told the Washington Times last month. "I am very surprised it hasn't already happened."

The sheriff was told by federal officials that terrorists-in-waiting have been going to Central America to learn Spanish so they will not stand out from other aliens entering the United States.

"Illegal immigration is the least of our concerns," Gonzalez said. "We'll deal with illegal immigration. What I worry about is the dangerously violent narcotics gangs and especially the terrorists. There [are] people from countries of interest to the United States which could easily come over this border. They may already be in the country. We don't know."

That's the scary part, we don't know and our government's inaction seems to indicate they don't care.

College Freshman Tells It Like It Is

I had the good fortune to run across an article on the ACLU written by a freshman journalism major in Ohio. Cait Jacob has nailed the organization for its uneven and prejudicial approach to the issues of personal liberties. Her entire article can be found at The Post Online. Here is a small excerpt.

"Isn't it ironic that the ACLU will rally around a woman's right to equal pay as quickly as a pervert's right to look at children being sexually exploited? And isn't it an inherent contradiction that the ACLU says making child porn should be a crime, but looking at the finished product is somehow acceptable?"

Please read the entire article and if you enjoy it send a quick email to Cait and let her know.

Demeaning The Day

Here's an item of leftwing lunacy. In San Antonio, Air Force jets flew over the city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. This caused a protest by Iraq war opponents who said the military presence conflicted with King’s teachings. It is not even worth responding to these idiots.

Speaking of inappropriate reactions how about Hillary and her remark that The House "has been run like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about." Hillary, you don't know what you're talking about. The House follows rules just like the Senate. If you couldn't get enough of your fellow leftwing idiots elected to run things maybe it's because of asinine statements like the one you just made. Of course, the word plantation was carefully chosen to elicit a certain response from your audience. You wanted a divisive word and you chose one. How does that honor the memory of Dr. King?

And finally, we have New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. What can one say about this hapless man after his own words have convicted him of racism. "This city will be a majority African-American city. It’s the way God wants it to be. You can’t have New Orleans no other way. It wouldn’t be New Orleans." What a role model to have as mayor. I don't think Dr. King would be proud.

Waffle King Kerry Flip-Flops Again

What will it take to stop John Kerry from flip-flopping? He likes to refer to it as being misinterpreted.

Before the election, Kerry had an ad that mocked the president for saying that sending jobs overseas "makes sense." The quote was actually from Bush's Council of Economic Advisers and not from the president himself. The ad also said Kerry proposed a different economic plan that encourages companies to keep jobs here. And, John, himself, stated, "Workers, factories gone, outsourcing jobs, this president thinks it's good for America. The one person in the United States of America who deserves to be laid off is George W. Bush, and we're going to do it."

Well. it's now a different year and the election is over and the "Great Waffler" is visiting Pakistan and India. Guess what? The story changes. In today's Business Standard John says, his views on outsourcing were misinterpreted. Now, he says he faults only those companies that outsourced for non-economic reasons. “We had problem with some people who made their choices purely for the purpose of taking advantage of tax benefits,” Kerry said, as if reducing your tax burden wasn't good economics for a company or an individual. Here's the clincher, Kerry said that he had no problem with outsourcing based on economic considerations.

Of course, we knew that, because while Kerry was criticizing Bush about outsourcing he already had a history of nurturing it. Research Boston Capital & Technology and John Kerry's involvment in the set up of U.S. manufacturing in and the export of U.S. jobs to China.

When you get back from your trip, Senator Kerry, perhaps you can finally tell the American worker where you really stand on outsourcing and also clear up your 180 form once and for all.

Let Me See Your Papers

On Jan. 2 Badr Malik was detained at a border checkpoint near Niagara Falls. He and his family were returning home after a holiday visit with relatives in Toronto. Malik said his wife and four children watched as security guards patted him down and searched their van. He plans to file a report with the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR. CAIR claims that since Sept. 11, 2001, Muslim Americans are being unjustly targeted as potential terrorists. They are upset because U.S. citizens attending the 2004 Reviving the Islamic Spirit convention in Toronto were interrogated, fingerprinted and photographed at the border. The New York Civil Liberties Union sought a court injunction to prohibit these lengthy security checks in 2005 but a federal judge in Buffalo, NY ruled against them. They are planning an appeal. Read my post about this here.

Malik is upset. He says the guards were nice to him but “it was just pure harassment.” His wife claims to have been transported back in time to the 1930s, “like in Germany.” Oh, the drama of it all. Mirroring the tactics of the Gestapo, the guards made him empty his pockets. They “looked at all the contents of my wallet,” then asked what items he was bringing into the United States, Malik said. Is there no end to their brutal interrogation tactics?

Could it be that as director of the Connecticut branch of the Council on American Islamic Relations, Malik has an axe to grind? Wouldn't a reasonable person expect to be caught up in this process just like those of us who travel frequently find happening at airports around the country? As the judge in NY said, Customs, "had reason to believe that these conferences would serve as meeting points for terrorists to exchange ideas and documents, coordinate operations, and raise funds intended for terrorist activities."

Malik admits he has crossed the border many times without incident. So why does he feel he's being targeted? I guess the opportunity to get publicity for CAIR's agenda was just too great to resist. Who cares if you smear law enforcement in the process?

Thanks to The Day.

Case Study Of Lunatic

Here is some old and some new information on the madman Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

When an aircraft crashed in Teheran last month, killing 108 people, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised an investigation. But he also thanked the dead, saying: "What is important is that they have shown the way to martyrdom which we must follow."

A few months ago, we were treated to a video showing Ahmadinejad telling a cleric that he had felt the hand of God entrancing world leaders as he delivered a speech to the UN General Assembly.

In the video Ahmadinejad described how one of his Iranian colleagues had claimed to have seen a glow of light around Mahmoud as he began his speech to the UN.

"I felt it myself too," Mahmoud recounts. "I felt that all of a sudden the atmosphere changed there. And for 27-28 minutes all the leaders did not blink…It's not an exaggeration, because I was looking.

"They were astonished, as if a hand held them there and made them sit. It had opened their eyes and ears for the message of the Islamic Republic."

Of course, the audience was dumbstruck by the insanity of what they were hearing.

One of the first acts of Mahmoudd's government was to donate about £10 million to the Jamkaran mosque, a popular pilgrimage site where the pious come to drop messages to the Hidden Imam into a holy well. A rumor - denied by the government but widely believed - is that Mr Ahmadinejad and his cabinet have signed a "contract" pledging themselves to work for the return of the Mahdi and sent it to Jamkaran.

And, he wants nuclear weapons.

PETA's Pamela Wants Colonel's Bust Removed

Pamela Anderson, bimbo extraordinary, is trying to get a bust of KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders removed from the Kentucky state Capitol. It was called "a monument to cruelty" to chickens in a statement issued by PETA. Read more about this at Forbes, if you care.

What makes this woman think anyone would take her seriously? After all, she married Tommy Lee, was engaged to Kid Rock and was involved with Scott Baio. If this is the spokeperson PETA picks to represent them, they are the dumb animals.

French Force Themselves To Say Merci

France is "thanking" us for our help in securing the release of French hostage, Bernard Planche. Expressing his thanks to "all those who mobilized" to help the French hostage regain his freedom, Jacques Chirac strained himself and "thanked the coalition forces that permitted this release". Dominque de Villepin, in an unusual fit of politeness, thanked "the diplomatic services and intelligence services"and, if you can believe it, "the US authorities that lent their assistance to this release". As usual, it is the US that had to pull the French fry out of the fire once again.

France, which chose not to participate in the coalition, gets to benefit from it.

Helping Hamas

I ran across an interesting article at the Chicago Tribune.

The Center for National Security Studies and the ACLU
have filed legal briefs in support of Abdelhaleem Ashqar, a Virginia man accused of helping to fund Mideast terrorists. It is alleged that Ashqar and two other men, Muhammed Salah and Mousa Abu Marzook, participated in a 15-year conspiracy to finance the group Hamas, laundering millions of dollars, some of which went to buy weapons. Marzook is a fugitive believed to be living in Syria.

The two groups are arguing that federal agents had no right to search Ashqar's home without a warrant in 1993. The search was conducted during the Clinton administration and approved by attorney general, Janet Reno.

"The 4th Amendment does not require the government to obtain court approval for a foreign intelligence search of an agent of a foreign power," prosecutors have stated.

That is the case, in a nutshell. This was not the normal search of a suspect's residence. However, the ACLU will use whatever means it can to stymie the government's efforts to fight terrorism, foreign and domestic. Once again, the organization finds itself on the wrong side of an issue. Protecting our civil liberties means that groups like Hamas must not be able to use our freedom against us. Those who collaborate with them have much explaining to do.

AARP Now Recognizes Belafonte For What He Is

AARP issued the following statement in response to remarks made by Harry Belafonte.

"Last year, AARP The Magazine recognized Harry Belafonte for his work in serving as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF since 1987.

"To our dismay, Mr. Belafonte has made reckless and irresponsible statements about the President of the United States which we neither support nor condone. Mr. Belafonte is entitled to express his own personal views, but AARP does not condone the manner and tone which he has chosen and finds his comments completely unacceptable."

The AARP has this one right. Not only is he reckless and irresponsible but he cannot disguise his vicious and mean spirited personality. He is a poor excuse of an American and a pathetic excuse of a human being, who is unfit to shine the shoes of a true heroic American, Colin Powell, a man he disparaged unfairly.

Mind Your Own Business

The foreign ministers of Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala,El Salvador, Honduras, Belize and Panama have demanded guest worker programs and the legalization of illegal immigrants in the United States. Well, I guess that's the last word on this subject. Here's a coalition that ought to make us take pause and turn our nation over to lawbreakers inspired and encouraged by these world class diplomats. I think not. Where is the response from our government?

Why is it that every third world country complains about anyone interfering in their "self determination" process but thinks it's ok to tell the most successful country in the world how to run its internal affairs. Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez has "well thought out" opinions of our laws such as "stupid and underhanded." What a political intellect! Can you imagine if we said that about Mexico?

Is it that these people think the concept of sovereignty only applies to them? Someone in Washington should tell them to fix their own houses before they begin criticizing ours. That should give them a few centuries of work.

John Kerry, Shadowboxer

"He's continuing the fight he began in 2004. He wants to make it very clear he's a fighter who is going to continue to fight for his agenda." These are the words of John Kerry spokesman David Wade describing Kerry's wish to be humiliated again in 2008. Do you notice the emphasis on the word fight? One wouldn't think you'd have to be so emphatic about that quality in a decorated veteran. But, then there is so much controversy about self-inflicted wounds and "rice shrapnel" that it's hard to picture Kerry as an heroic figure.

Perhaps John's pugnaciousness would be more believable if we could all just be convinced about his honorable discharge. Fight to get us the whole truth about your 180 form, John.

Belafonte And The Marx Brothers

I have had enough of Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover. The fact that two men who have been so blessed by the good fortune of living in America can demean their president and their country with juvenile, sophomoric diatribes in front of a foreign audience is worse than disgusting.

See this Yahoo news article and try to keep your stomach from turning over.

Harry wants to be the show opener for the new Marx Brothers act of Hugo, Evo and Castro so let him be judged by the company he keeps.

What Was The Deal?

It has been speculated that the German government may have paid around five million dollars for the release of Susanne Osthoff. Now, it is reported that she worked for Germany's BND foreign intelligence service.

What's interesting is according to the DEBKA
file, Ernst Uhrlau, Angela Merkel’s new head of the BND, is the man behind Berlin’s secret decision to trade Susanne Osthoff kidnapped in Iraq on Nov. 25 for the jailed Hizballah terrorist wanted in America, Mohammad Ali Hammadi.

There seems to be a lot more going on here then we've been told and I hope this topic will be reviewed in depth during Angela Merkel's upcoming visit to Washington. Since she claims she desires to mend relations, this would be a good jumping off point.

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over

Tongsun Park, a South Korean businessman accused of receiving millions of dollars from Saddam Hussein's regime to bribe top United Nations officials over the controversial oil-for-food program, has been arrested by FBI agents in Houston, Texas. He is expected to cooperate with the US authorities in a deal that could throw fresh light on the rampant corruption that permeated the UN program.

This could spell fresh trouble for Kofi Annan who was hoping the Volcker Report would allow him to escape the scandal unscathed. Park may have likely cut a deal with the feds and the fallout from that may finally net Annan who certainly seems tainted by the whole bribery issue.

More at the telegraph.

Sunday Funny

The local United Way office realized that it had never received a donation from the town's most successful lawyer, an attorney for the ACLU. The volunteer in charge of contributions called on the attorney to persuade him to contribute. "Our research shows that out of a yearly income of more than $750,000 you give not one penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give back to your community in some way?"

The lawyer mulled this over for a moment and replied, "First, Did your research also show that my mother is dying from a long, lingering illness and she has amassed medical bills that are several times her annual income?" Somewhat taken aback, the United Way representative managed to mumble, "Um... No."

"Second, did you know that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?" The stricken United Way rep began to stammer out an apology but was put off. "Third, that my sister's husband died in a traffic accident," the lawyer's voice rising in indignation, "leaving her penniless with three small children?"

The embarassed United Way rep, completely humiliated, said simply, "I had no idea..." On a roll, the ACLU attorney cut him off once again, "...And I don't give any money to them, so why should I give any to you?"

Mannequins Manhandled

This guy needs help, big time. He must enjoy unresponsive partners.

A Turkish shop assistant was arrested after he was found lying naked with a mannequin in a store window.

The 30-year-old man was discovered by colleagues opening up the department store in Antalya for the day.

They called police after noticing bite marks on the mannequin. Two other mannequins that showed signs of abuse were also taken in as evidence.

The shop assistant allegedly hid in the toilets while the store was being locked up for the night.

The man has been charged with damaging property.

More Rantings From Mahmoud

Iran's madman president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced to a mob of "theological" students assembled in Qom that Israeli Prime Minister Sharon “has joined his ancestors and others will soon follow suit”.

“We don’t shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world”, he added.

Ahmadinejad referred to the return of the Shiite Messiah, the Mahdi, as not far away and that Muslims must prepare for it. He is urging Iranians to prepare for the coming of the Mahdi by turning the country into a strong, advanced Islamic society and avoiding the corruption of the West. The return of the 12th imam will prompt a global battle between good and evil similar to the biblical account of Armageddon.

When is someone going to drop the net on this psychotic and get him on some heavy sedatives? I would really like to know what world leaders are saying about him behind closed doors and is there a plan to make sure this lunatic never gets close to a nuclear weapon?

How Goes The War For America?

As we move into 2006, knowing we will be faced with an onslaught of suits by the ACLU, it is important to remember that there were several victories over them at the end of 2005.

CCN lists several important loses for the ACLU in a recent article. I am posting a short list below.

1. Regarding a Ten Commandments display in Mercer County Kentucky, the US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals handed the ACLU a significant defeat when they ruled the display is Constitutional because it included other historical documents and therefore it was more easily determined to have a secular purpose. Perhaps what was most significant was that the the Court said, "Our concern is that of the reasonable person. And the ACLU, an organization whose mission is to ensure that…the government (is kept) out of the religion business, does not embody the reasonable person." The Court's opinion also rejected the ACLU's "repeated reference to the 'separation of church and state.' This extra-constitutional construct has grown tiresome. The First Amendment does not demand a wall of separation between church and state," the Court said. Finally, truth resounds through the halls of Justice.

2.
A case in the US Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals who ruled that the same exact display as the one in the Mercer County Case was Constitutional in Elkhart County, Indiana. Perhaps most significant was after the loss was that the ACLU indicated that they will not appeal this case. Give them credit for knowing when they cannot succeed.

3.
The ACLU lost its case against New York City where they were trying to stop random searches of passenger's bags who were boarding the subway system. The ACLU had sued the City of New York after they instituted random bag searches following the bombing of London's transit system. The ACLU's contention was that random searches of passenger's bags were an unconstitutional invasion of privacy. Once again, the ACLU finds itself on the wrong side of the public's welfare issue.

These are a few important battles, but the war is far from being won. If you would like to help turn back the ACLU hordes from the gates of real freedom, please refer to the following.

Killer Candidate

In a television interview, a Palestinian legislative candidate told why her Islamic faith required her to sacrifice three of her sons to terrorist operations and why she believes there are no prohibitions against killing civilians until the Jews are completely banished from Israel. Read the rest of this article at WorldNetDaily and then contemplate how peace will ever come to Palestine as long as mentally deranged people such as this woman are on the loose.

Gaza gunmen have been taking over government buildings and kidnapping foreigners almost daily. Most recently, about 40 gunmen from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade took over an election building in the Gaza strip.

How will a Palestinian state survive
armed gangs in the streets and no rule of law?

Kerry Can't Afford To Talk About Truth

Below, I have posted a fund raising email sent out by John Kerry and the Democrats. Kerry has the gall to discuss skirting the truth, hiding the facts, and disguising failures in reference to his opponents. He has been the poster boy for disingenuous behavior. All this brought to you by the man who lied about his brothers in Viet Nam. It is especially ironic that he even makes mention of Swift Boat-style attacks.

Stop skirting the truth about your military discharge, John and no more hiding the facts about your 180. Clear up the discrepancies between what you claim and the reality of what we see. Speak the truth to the American people! And while you're at it, let's clear up that Christmas in Cambodia.

Date: Fri, 30 Dec 2005 12:15:46 -0500 [11:15:46 CST]
From: John Kerry <info@johnkerry.com>
To: ___
Subject: Call them out, point them out, and vote them out

Dear ___,

What should your last political act of 2005 be about?

There's only one answer. It should be about fighting back - about laying down a marker that says we've seen enough, heard enough, and seen the Republicans who control Washington try to mislead America more than enough. And, in 2006, we're coming to take our democracy back from the Washington special interests that control it today.

With the pivotal 2006 elections approaching, we won't be blackmailed or denied. We won't stand for Swift Boat-style attacks. We won't be intimidated. And we won't stop working until we win.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now:

Throughout 2005, Keeping America's Promise, the leadership committee I helped launch, has raised over $2 million dollars for dozens of candidates - including our year-end drive under way right now focusing on women candidates locked in tough races.

Just as important, we've organized a vitally important Fight Back Fund. We're ready, willing and able to take on the vicious attacks, deceitful distortions, and truth-defying rhetoric - just the way we did when they tried to savage war hero John Murtha and other Bush administration critics.

When the Bush White House says one thing and does another, we'll call them out. When shadowy Republican front groups show up on the campaign trail, we'll smoke them out. When there are huge discrepancies between the successes they claim and the reality they've created, we'll point them out.

And, most importantly on Election Day 2006, we'll vote them out.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now:

I hope you'll act right now to strengthen Keeping America's Promise's 2006 Fight Back Fund. We need to be ready to respond in force and at a moment's notice.

We know what to expect. With their backs to the wall, the Bush White House, the Republican National Committee, and all their shadowy front groups are counting on skirting the truth, hiding the facts, and disguising their failures for one more election cycle.

Will we let them get away with it? Not a chance.

I urge you to end 2005 and start the crucial election year of 2006 with a generous donation to Keeping America's Promise's Fight Back Fund.

Support the Fight Back Fund Now:

I look forward to working side by side with you every day of 2006 as we stand up for our candidates and fight for our beliefs. Let's refuse to yield an inch to a Republican Party unconcerned about stopping the corruption in its midst . . . unwilling to address the failures in its record . . . and unable to speak the truth to the American people.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

Year Of The Lunatic?

Continuing his drive to win the "World Leader Lunacy Award", Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has now charged that European countries sought to complete the genocide of the Jews by establishing Israel, in the midst of Muslim countries.

Ahmadinejad has extended his lead over Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong-il, Robert Mugabe and new comer to the race, Evo Morales. While all of these entrants have made significant psychotic contributions to the world political scene, none can compare with the delusional fantasies of madman Mahmoud.

Will 2006 be the year the Persian prince of psychotic episodes acts out his most outrageous performance to date? Stay tuned!

Bolivian Bozo Joins Castro And Chavez

The third stooge is now in place in Latin America. Castro and Chavez are joined by Evo Morales of Bolivia, completing the trio of troublemakers.

Morales immediately called President Bush a terrorist, thereby giving us all a clue to his diplomatic and statesmanship skills. But, what else is to be expected from a puppet of Castro and Chavez and a pal of Libya's Muammar Qaddafi?

Morales will be propped up by the oil money of Chavez but Bolivia, a poor country, will suffer severely from the radical socialism of Morales. In the meantime, we all will have to suffer the intemperate remarks and comedic cavortings of yet a third stooge down south.
