At a House budget hearing, Congress was informed by Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff that a wire was discovered stretched across a border road leading into Mexico through a hole in the fence.
"It was configured in a way so that, if it was pulled, it would take off the head of a Border Patrol agent riding in an open car,"Chertoff reported.
The wire was discovered Saturday when authorities monitoring a surveillance camera saw two people on the north side of the border east of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, in the San Diego sector.
Of course, no arrests were made on either side of the border and I doubt any form of protest was made to Mexico. After all, what's the point... they encourage this kind of behavior while our government passively condones it. And, we're going to elect a president who will reward this behavior with citizenship papers.
