Cartoon Cavalcade Continues

It is frightening that we have college students who do not understand the free speech concept.

At the University of North Carolina, the Muslim Students Association is requesting that the student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel, apologize. Why? For publishing an original cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad (Cartoon shown above).

Now, it is my understanding that Muhammed is not God but merely a human being like the rest of us. If it is the fear of idolatry that warrants not making images of him then why are they idolizing Muhammmed in the first place? That is what they have done, becoming dangerous fanatics for the prophet. How weak is a theology that cannot survive an attack on its prophet let alone God himself?

How long will it be before they want to oulaw making an image of anyone or anything? After all, people make idols out of all sorts of items, from automobiles to money itself.

Remember the Buddhist statues detroyed by the Muslims in Afghanistan? The Taliban said that Afghan history was secondary to Islamic history. Is that how American muslims feel about our history?

And, where is the ACLU? Why are they not out in force protecting our freedoms?
