It has been reported that al-Qaeda has been preparing for a missile attack on Incirlik Air Base, home of the 39th ABW. The base, near Adana, Turkey is not far from Iraq and Iran and has been placed on high alert.
There have been reports of threats, by al-Qaeda, against this important base before. It seems, in the past, security has made attacks too difficult and alternate targets were chosen.
