Freaky Feingold And His Incredible Censure Resolution

Russ Feingold (D-WI) is in the news again. A favorite of the ACLU and a presidential wannabe of the fringe left, Russ said on the Senate floor, "The President has violated the law, and Congress must respond. A formal censure by Congress is an appropriate and responsible first step to assure the public that when the President thinks he can violate the law without consequences, Congress has the will to hold him accountable."

Feingold's censure resolution accuses Bush of violating the Constitution and the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Back in October I wrote a piece on Feingold and his 86% approval rating from the ACLU. At that time I mentioned his bill S122 Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act. But, that is only one of his many liberal efforts. Rated at 93% approval by NARAL, he voted no on criminal penalty for harming an unborn baby during the commission of a crime. He also voted no on banning partial birth abortions and human cloning.

He has a 91% approval rating from the NEA thanks in part to his no vote on school vouchers.

His no on requiring schools to allow voluntary prayer and another no on money for abstinence education has helped earn him a big zero from the Christian Coalition.

So, it should be no shock to anyone that a bizarre resolution would spring from the tin foiled head of Freaky Feingold.

Majority Leader Bill Frist tried to schedule a vote for Monday night or Tuesday on the resolution saying, Democrats ought to be on the record voting for or against it.

The donks, however, are avoiding this resolution like the plague and it is unlikely Russ will get very many overt supporters. As usual, he is way out of the mainstream which makes it difficult to understand how he can perceive of himself as a viable candidate for president. But, stranger things have happened and one can envision a ticket of Russ and crazy John Conyers (D-MI) running on a Moonbat platform. From my mouth to God's ears!
