PHOENIX - Gov. Janet Napolitano on Wednesday ordered more National Guardsmen posted at the Mexican border to help stop illegal immigrants and reduce crime.
The number of additional soldiers is unspecified but, they are being sent to assist federal agents.
This appears to be a move to placate those who see her as soft on illegal immigration. She was careful to state, ''They are not there to militarize the border. We are not at war with Mexico.''
No, Janet, but we are at war and there are those who would use the failure to secure our borders to attack us. Get with the program.
