You Lost, Remember?

This on the news today:

Arab leaders gathered for a summit in the Algerian capital rejected a Jordanian proposal that they offer Israel diplomatic ties without Israel's first returning occupied lands -- a proposal that would be a dramatic change in the Arabs' peace strategy.
Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa said Israel expects "the Arabs will make concessions and even normalize without anything real in return."
Let's see didn't the Arabs try to push the Jews into the sea? Didn't the Arabs attack Israel? Didn't the Arabs lose? When you win the war isn't there this thing called the spoils of war? What the hell is wrong with these people? When you lose you don't get to make demands, demands are made on you.

I'll bookmark this post to copy in a new post of mine later on; I'll just change Arab to Democrat.

The Islamic World reminds me of the knight in Monte Python and the Holy Grail. After losing both arms and legs he offers to call the battle a draw! He claims he could bite his opponent to death if he wanted to!

Talk about an unfounded sense of your own importance!

Good analogy, Timothy.
