I ran across this while I was reading an article in the El Paso Times, "ACLU seeks volunteers to keep an eye on Minutemen project" (Minutemen are planning to patrol the southern borders of New Mexico and Texas.)In it, the ACLU coordinator, Claudia Guevara says the ACLU presence is to prevent abuses against migrants (can you say, illegals) and shed light on border conditions that lead to migrant (can you say, criminals) deaths.
Well, Claudia, perhaps the ACLU could begin a program to protect American citizens from abuses by illegals and shed light on border conditions that lead to deaths of Americans.
The following article,in the same paper, is about the ruthless murder of an American citizen by an illegal from Honduras. Will there be any outcry from the ACLU? Of course not, it's only another dead American. However, watch them all flock to the jail and trial to make sure no one looks crooked at the killer, Erminio Oliva. The poor "migrant" couldn't find enough victims in Honduras, so he was forced to come north.
In closing, I must point out that the paper also had an insert on how to join the ACLU but none on how to join the Minutemen.
Here is a link to the Minuteman HQ.
LAS CRUCES -- Doña Ana County Sheriff's investigators charged a Honduran man late Friday with the murder of a woman whose body was found Thursday in Mesquite.
Erminio Oliva, 33, of Honduras, is charged with an open count of murder and is being held at the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond, said Doña Ana County Sheriff's Investigator John Ordoñez. Even if Oliva were to post bond, he would not be released because he is in the United States illegally and the U.S. Border Patrol has placed a hold on his release, Ordoñez said.
Ordoñez also identified the victim as Gail M. Williams, 53, of Las Cruces.
Her autopsy began Friday morning in Albuquerque, but is not yet complete.
"It was a violent, brutal crime," said Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Perea.
Ordoñez called her injuries "graphic." He and Perea would not release further details.
After being questioned throughout much of Friday, Oliva confessed to the crime and was arrested about 8 p.m., Ordoñez said.
Williams leaves behind a husband, Mark A. Williams, 61, whom Ordoñez said is "not taking it very well" and suffers from health problems.
Oliva was an "acquaintance" of Williams, Ordoñez said. Perea said Oliva used to live with Williams and her husband.
Williams' nude body was found Thursday near the solid waste transfer station in Mesquite, south of Las Cruces. Her body was discovered by a passerby who called 911 about 11:30 a.m.
From the
El Paso Times. Here are a few more articles you will find in the very same paper.
Mexican man allegedly broke court windows.
A man had a short walk to jail after he was caught allegedly breaking a pair of $7,000 windows at the El Paso County Courthouse, county officials said.
Ernesto Ramos Gonzalez, 39, of Mexico, was spotted Tuesday night by a county detention officer when he threw rocks through windows of the district clerk's office, which is on the ground floor across the street from the county jail.
Pickup rams police car and is stopped in JuárezA pickup rammed an El Paso police car, tried to run down an auto theft officer and escaped into Mexico, where the driver was arrested by Juárez police after a wild chase about 11:30 a.m. Friday near the Bridge of the Americas.
This is all in one day, in one paper. So, I ask again, where is the ACLU ? Why are they not monitoring the border for the right reasons. We don't need protection from the Minutemen we need protection from the illegal criminals invading our homeland. Obviously, the ACLU isn't about Americans who are law abiding citizens. It's about those who prey on those citizens, their lives and their property. Stop the ACLU, now!
