Pelosi Promoting Impeached Judge

Here's an example of "quality" in government as brought to you by the left wing donks. Pelosi is pushing this former judge who was removed from office by the US Senate. Why, do you think, does Pelosi wish to replace a democrat "moderate", Jane Harman, with Alcee Hastings from the Congressional Black Caucus?

Here's some information on Harman who, by the way, has never been impeached.
She has been a Democrat member of the House since 2001, representing the 36th District of California. She was was educated at Smith College and Harvard School of Law, and was a lawyer, a staff member for Senator John Tunney, adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center, chief counsel and staff director for the US Senate Judiciary subcommittee on constitutional rights, deputy secretary to the Cabinet at the White House (1977 - 1978) and special counsel to the Department of Defense before entering the House.
She is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of conservative Congressional Democrats, one of the few members who is not from the Deep South.
I would say she is reasonably well credentialed. She did, however, recently jump on the "Let's get Karl Rove" bandwagon .
Asked about a letter she sent to the White House demanding that Rove's security clearance be suspended, Rep. Jane Harman first insisted she was certain that the top Bush aide's source was someone in the administration. After further questioning by FOX News' Brit Hume, it became "See Jane Run" from her statement.

Here's the info from NewsMax.

"There's an ugly fight brewing in the House among Democrats about the House Intelligence Committee, which may have larger implications about the Democrats and national security," Klein told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show." House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings, who was impeached as a federal judge in 1989, to be vice chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Time magazine's Joe Klein reported on Sunday.
"Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader, wants to dump Jane Harman, the ranking Democrat who is a moderate, and replace her with Alcee Hastings," Klein said.

Appointed to the bench by President Carter in 1979, Hastings was impeached and removed from office in 1989 on two counts, perjury and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

The Florida Democrat, an African-American, blamed "institutional racism" for the charges lodged against him.

Hastings was elected to the House in 1992.
