We're going to take back Arizona. Is there a name in Arizona better known than Goldwater? Napolitano has to go, she is an obstructionist when it comes to carrying out the will of the majority. Kolbe is just a panderer to illegals and gays and he has good reason to fear Graf.
Goldwater and Graf, I like the sound it.
Here's the good news.
Donald H. Goldwater met recently with his boss, Department of Administration Director Betsey Bayless, and informed her he was resigning effective July 29 — that he wanted to go on to something else after seven years with the agency.
The something else is a Republican candidacy for governor for the nephew of the late Arizona senator and political legend Barry Goldwater, Arizona Capitol Times confirmed July 26. He is scheduled to announce his candidacy at an 11 a.m. news conference Aug. 2 at the Sun City West Foundation Building.
Mr. Goldwater did not return numerous phone calls requesting an interview. He is the son of Bob Goldwater, Barry Goldwater’s brother, and served as special events manager DOA.
Darcy Olsen, president and CEO of the Goldwater Institute, which was named for the late senator and presidential candidate, said she hopes Mr. Goldwater is a chip off his uncle’s block.
“I love the Goldwater family, and if Don shares his uncle’s philosophy, he’d be a great governor for the people of Arizona,” she said.
Little is known publicly about Don Goldwater’s politics. He is said to be a Ronald Reagan conservative and recently endorsed conservative Republican and former legislator Randy Graf of Tucson for the U.S. House.
