DeLay Proposes Enforcing Our Laws

What a concept! Maybe we should start arresting lawbreakers! Has the lightbulb finally gone on?
Let's hope this is not just empty rhetoric but the beginning of citizens taking back the country.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay urged Texas police Thursday night to begin rounding up illegal immigrants, and said he backed legislation that would cut off federal funds to cities that don't enforce U.S. immigration laws.

Speaking to a gathering of Fort Bend County, Texas Republicans, DeLay said that if police rounded up illegals, the federal government would find places to house them.
In quotes picked up by the Houston Chronicle, the top Republican urged: "If you pick up 50 or 100 of them, you can call the National Guard."

As for housing, DeLay said: "Put them in tents."

Gina,

I know many people from Mexico, but the ones I know are here legally...most of them have become citizens.

Conditions in Mexico, for many of the people are terrible. Corruption is rampant.

The country needs to be fixed but that is the job of the Mexican people.

We must not let their government use the US to prop up their economy and at the same time thumb their nose at our laws.

As for imported labor, I'm for it after every able bodied American has been put to work or expelled from the welfare rolls. Then, if we are still short people we can examine and approve applicants on a case by case basis.

In other words, if you're not an American we get to tell you how, when and where you may work and for how long. What a concept!

I hope that they can find a way to cut off the funds to "safe haven" cities like NY. It's the only language these idiots understand.
