The Neighbors Are Restless

Two grenades exploded at a residential building in the Mexican resort city of Ixtapa, about 190 miles southwest of Mexico City. President Vicente Fox and President-elect Felipe Calderon are scheduled to come there to participate in a business forum.

Meanwhile, Mexico's lower house of Congress voted Tuesday to block President Vicente Fox's planned visits to Australia and Vietnam because problems at home need his attention. Violence continues in Oaxaca and bombs expolded Monday in Mexico City. They are alleged to have been planted byguerrilla groups.

Why then are we electing those who embrace open borders?
